Was a fun movie - and the island scenery in French Polynesia was impressive. Was a bit centered around the two writers - Vince and Jon - to give a chance to use their one-liners and catch phrases - Jon tries too hard to be like Vince in his jokes... but if you like Vince Vaughn, you will like this movie. Other actors were very good. Story got a little redundant on the life message on be happy and real with your spouse but that took it from being a simple, stupid comedy to being a good comedy and worth seeing.

'Couple Retreat' is funny, but also reminds us that all marriages have problems, and they don't all have to end in divorce. Vince vaughn satisfies your thirst for his rapid-fire repartee, as usual. Some of the scenes were drawn out beyond their prime, which made the movie feel a little long at times, but still very much worth seeing.

One thing I was impressed with, is that all of the jokes were not blown in the trailer, too many movies doo that these days.

If you like Vince Vaughn and they way he delivers lines you won't be disappointed. All of the actors due quite a good job of displaying the emotions linked to the type of relationship they are currently in. I could relate to about all of them. It is quite funny, especially the kids scenes in the home improvement store! Would recommend for adults, teens and younger may not relate to well, but still funny!

Had all the usual cheap sophomoric humor -- inappropriate humping, peeing and defecating, genitals in people's faces, fat naked bodies, older men and women drooling over young buff bodies, grown men still acting like frat boys (or overacheiving nerds). Little depth. Most characters unlikeable. Some funny moments -- all provided by Vince Vaughn because, lets face it, he IS funny. He (and his couple) alone save the movie by being naturally funny and likeable -- and some of the therapy scenes are funny. Don't bother.

I thought it was great, so did my wife & the other couple we were with (our daughter's in-laws). The only part that seemed a little implausible at the end was the conclusion with the Kristen Davis & her husband. Everything else great. We had a fantastic evening enjoying Couples Retreat and the Cinema Suites! The movie was fun as well as a bit sweet. The movie was made even more enjoyable by experiencing the cinema suites for the first time. What a nice way to watch a movie. I was expecting a comedy and got what appeared to be a drama. Don’t get me wrong, I like drama, but the setup for going to the resort was not well prepared. Most notable, I was bothered that the single guy needed Vince Vaughn cosign on his motorcycle, but he was able to afford to pay for he and his girlfriend to vacation at this exotic resort. Also, the guys running the resort and acting as therapists could have had smaller parts. The guitar hero playoff scene was way too hoaky and not at all funny. Lost my vote at that point.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

every funny scene was shown in the commercial. the rest was blah.. And I think I've had enough of Vince's one-trick-pony acting.
