An excellent speculative collaboration regarding the "so called" WMD's we never found in Iraq. A well woven plot, believable, pertinent to our times. He still tends to "chase" excessively in all his movies, but this movie is not a complete fictional plot, because it raises possible realities regarding the middle east. I liked the casting.

Matt Damon delivers his usual believable performance, unfortunately it's in a fairly stale plot line. The secondary characters are not well developed at all with the movie almost boring at times. You keeping hoping for the extra intrigue or twist that goes with a intelligence thriller but it never happens. Bottom line: I had high expectations based on the trailer but it does not live up to its billing. Hurt Locker is much better constructed.

THIS movie has a story and a plot! Matt Damon is a young Harrison Ford always great in his roles that deliver suspense. And Greg Kinnear racks up so many diverse roles since his silly origins of hosting TV's TALK SOUP, this is just another one for him! The documentary style hand-held camera work gets a bit wiggly and annoying at times. But the movie really makes you think about "what if" there was a true cover up of WMD's not existing in IRAQ from the outset of the war. Go this film to be entertained, and concentrate on the plot, at least there IS one...AND script....which THE HURT LOCKER had neither.

Matt Damon delivers another authentic performance as a real guy (although more handsome and compelling to watch than most real guys) working as an Army officer in Iraq, circa 2003.
His job is to locate weapons of mass destruction; however, he and his team keep coming up empty.
As he becomes more and more frustrated, he begins working with an unpopular CIA agent.
Although this movie certainly suggests that the Iraq war was unfounded (if the reasoning was WMDs), it is not an anti-war movie...nor is it "soft" on action, bad-ass Special Forces sequences, or noble-minded Americans trying to make the best of a bad situation. Damon plays a good guy, working with other good guys....The grey area is who is bad and who is not.

I did like the movie but I did expect more out of it. I may have had this expectation because of my love for the Bourne movies. The reviews that claim the camera bounced around and took away from the movie are wrong. One of the main reason I like the Bourne movies is because the director doesn't over exaggerate explosions and keeps the action within check with reality. If the camera bounces it gives you the illusion that you are right there in the action.

I saw the movie based on the actor, unfortunately it is not Matt's finest. His acting was great, but it tended to drag through out. Despite many shortcomings in the movie, Matt Damon had an enjoyable performance. Put a good captain on a poor boat, and there is only so much you can do with it. The camera bounced around too much. Lots of fuzzy and dusty lens effects actually detracted from the feel. It was either low budget or bad judgement. Actors scored well, script was weak, directing was sketchy. Too bad Matt, good luck picking your next one.

I loved the Bourne movies & like them I loved the main character played by Matt Damon. He played a 'Joe' Solider, smarter than most, who realized pretty quick, something's not right about the phoney WMD's story. Makes u think we're not told all about the War we're in. This Movie has more realistic action & drama & I felt like I was there in Iraq with our troups. God Bless them all. I'm a real FAN of Matt Damon & the action in this movie is intense. Go see it, I will buy the DVD.

I am sick of watching movies that "demonize" our military. Hollywood -- WAKE UP! We are the best nation in the world...why do you taint our children with your "left wing" garbage. Sorry I went. My husband and me felt we needed a shower afterwards. Ugh.

Yes, the movie was "action packed"- however, the cinematography was so distracting--it really took away from the film. Yes, Matt Damon was "as good as ever"- however, his role seemed overplayed.. Overall, it was entertaining, but trite at times, the message was political-- and we all know the predictable ending. It would have been better with a deeper plot, less war scenes. Would wait til it comes out on DVD- or see on matinee.
