I go to movies a lot. Most of the movies I go to, I like or like a lot, but there are not many I come out saying WOW to. This was one of those movies. The movie started out quickly getting the viewer engaged and then never let go. Great action, great story, very realistic. I felt like I was there in Iraq!

I found it very disconcerting that the wiggle-camera effect, a potential trademark of the director in the Bourne Identity, detracted significantly from following the movie in the first 1/2 hour. That being said, as the film progressed, the storyline became more complex and I found it to be a satisfying film. Those who think this is Jason Bourne somehow will be disappointed - only 1 fight scene in this one 'starring' Matt Damon, and he lost! He also played a much different character than Jason Bourne, but you end up rooting for him nonetheless. I found it fascinating how they filmed this - looks like it took place right in Iraq, and some of the "civilians" seemed quite believable.

It has a few choice opinions that are very strong; however the overall concept of the movie is thought-provoking.In the beginning, the military is there to fight to save America from WMDs, then in the end they are needed to help the Iraqi natives. This movie, although well crafted, but a bit slow in parts, was ok, I suppose, However, it was politically driven. It was a left wing attempt to show the Iraq war was unfounded and the government in charge(Bush's), was deceitful and would even kill Americans to cover it up, As far as I am concerned, it was fiction and a dilberate attempt to demonize the Bush administration. I would not recommend this movie to anyone, unless he or she was a die hard liberal.

I felt like I had been tricked into seeing this film. The previews and Matt Damon's interview on the Today show never insinuated that this film would be liberal propaganda. I expected it to be a "Jason Bourne" type of movie that took place in Iraq. I was very wrong. I'm not naive enough to think there haven't been mistakes made during the Iraq war, but I feel that any movie that is so disrespectful to our men & women in the military is wrong no matter what side you are on. It's obvious that Hollywood doesn't acknowledge or appreciate the sacrifices of our military & their families that actually provides them the opportunity to voice their opinions. Thoughtful depiction of America's involvement in Iraq, showing how much false or inaccurate intelligence led us far deeper into a conflict that wasn't ours to begin with. I could hardly watch some parts which showed cruelty and torture of Iraqi prisoners. There were too many long scenes of bombing and violence. Still it was worthwhile to help us not forget what a mess we created.

We thought the movie was great and really makes you think regarding all the circumstances around WMD and the Iraqi war. For those who are close-minded and back the government regardless of what's true or not, will, and have, given this movie bad ratings. Matt Damon did an outstanding job and there were many times I started feeling sorry for the Iraqi people. I, for one, always thought President Bush had an agenda and people would do anything or say anything to make that happen. This movie pretty much solidified what I thought all along. I felt the one big negative was way to much hand held camera use. On the big screen it got to us a bit. I would still like to know where all the WMD is.

This is an excellent movie with the double agent flair that we have come to enjoy of Matt Damon’s performances such as in the Bourne trilogy. The grittiness and the pace of the movie are captivating so much so that a nearly two-hour movie flies by. The tenseness is one that seems relevant to the anxiousness within the plot surrounding the confusion in the early stages of the Iraq war. While some may feel it to be overly politically slanted in one direction, history seems to be proving this narrative to be closer to the truth then we may like to believe.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie is 90% true, because the WMD's were never found. Unfortunately, the other 10% leaves you feeling like GOD should wipe us out. It's an interpretation but you dont want to believe this is exactly how it went down. All the politics, the agenda's, the smoke screens. "Life is crazy, and the people in it are crazier". Continuously fighting for balance of power and resources. I gave it four, because one scene where Damon is held hostage and he gets smacked by the General looks really fake. Other than that it was a good movie that pissed me off again and made me feel how we (Americans) have forgotten about the Bush Administrations tactics. We're still at war, and so much damage has been done to this country. SMH

The movie is great and Matt Damon did a good job in that movie.The movie talks about the truth for invading Iraq .There was no Chemical weapons what so ever, but they hide those facts and went for war for some other reasons.

The sound was loud, the movie was like a documentary, and the ending could have been predicted in the beginning. The acting was good, though and it did seem that we were back in the early 2000s.
