completely unbelievable. the main characters fearless savior of the poor little iraqi children was ridiculous. the taxi driver would have been shot. single vehicles don't go cruising around in the desert. air support would have leveled that house. 50 cal sniper riffles don't jam because of blood. the army uses overwhelming force. 3 guys don't go around clearing buildings and going off on there own getting caught in perilous situations. and the whole going back for a second rotation and him marching down the road in the bomb suit with the inspirational music playing in the end was so rah rah US soldier it made me sick. and i am NOT against US soldiers. i just don't like manipulative feel good propaganda.

Makes the audience part of the rotation of a three-man U.S. Army unit tasked with disarming booby traps in Iraq, from the friendly/hostile urban streets to the arid, fragments of the desert. The only flaw is a lack of ear for the epic, which marks the film classics. This is a gripping portrayal of combat, comraderie and command, which reveals the twilight zone between the values of civilian life and the obsessions of the warrior. The film weaves excellent dialogue into an interesting mix of vulnerable moments and the hardening effect of fighting on the survivors. Excellent performances by all involved, compelling cinematography, tight, well-written screenplay, and assured direction all come together. Music is understated, but effective.

This was an excellent, gripping movie, with great characters, that was sympathetic to the military and portrayed the humanity of the soldiers. It did, however, cross over to unhelpful caricatures when it portrayed the officers.

This movie will have you at the edge of your seat as you follow a military bomb squad through the streets of bagdad difusing bombs. The characters are well written and realistic in a way we rarely experience. You'll also be treated to some brief appearances by some veteran actors who add credability to the story. You'll enjoy the action, intense scenes of war stress, and stunningly realistic situations that these "wild men" face scene after scene.
