'Moon' is a unique work of science-fiction that I have never seen before in a film! This is a great film, but it only gets going once the film is almost over. The audience will enjoy this movie, but the excitement does not last long. See 'Moon', and try to expect a good, but short, movie.

Economical in its minimal use of exposition employed to excess in too many Sci-Fi pictures, MOON is also unpredictable, eerie and somewhat impersonal throughout. Although it is certainly a burden for any performer to carry an entire movie, Sam Rockwell's is not a role that requires much beyond serviceability, standard equipment of any good actor that I see him to be. By the way, It was a true surpise that Gertie (as voiced by Kevin Spacey) did not turn out to be a malevolent piece of machinery like that of a particular SF movie of 41 years ago. Overall, I thought this to a distinguished film despite having a conventional ending.

This is an intelligent, clever, creative movie. It is not action-packed, nor does it have a lot of melodrama, nor are the special effects world-class. A nice, tasty movie which pays homage to the sci-fi genre of the '70s -- fitting coming from David Bowie's son. Sam Rockwell did an admirable job portraying the angst of being "the same yet different". All in all, a refreshing change of pace from the "blows up good" pap of the summer's so-called blockbusters. I'm looking forward to Mr. Jones' next project. Thinking is good.

This was a great movie. Others have said it, but it's up there in "GATTACA" territory as far as great speculative fiction goes.
It moves at just the right speed, for the story it tells. And it throws enough curveballs to keep things interesting. And, because it doesn't answer and/or explain every little thing, it leaves the viewer plenty of room to speculate as well

A classic for the SciFi fans. Sam Rockwell's acting was superb, and Kevin Spacey's robot was the perfect fit.
Only complaint was that the movie was not suspenseful enough (though there was some suspense).

I saw this today for 7 dollars at AMC. That was money well spent. I like Sam Rockwell and always have, but this movie might just shoot his career to the moon. This film proves that a great science fiction movie can be made on a tight budget as long as the story is compelling and the acting is good. I have yet to see Star Trek, but this is the best sci fi movie I have seen in a really long time. Knowing the budget they had to work with makes this movie even stronger in my opinion! Go see it

I had no idea what to expect from this movie. I must admit that I went into it expecting a dumbed-down sci fi since it is from Hollywood. But I was pleasantly surprised to find a thought provoking plot; and superb acting. This is a perfect example that sometimes minimalization is good. Moon comes with minimum explosions, gore, etc that is so mind-numbingly abundant in todays movies; yet steep with thought provoking excellent acting.

Moon is a tedious, monotonous story with only one actor throughout. I kept waiting for Kevin Spacey to appear only to find out that he was simply the voice of a robot (wonder how much they paid him for this easy voice over gig). The story attempts to give us a lesson in morality about human cloning. It's a flop. Some things in the plot didn't make sense to me which is never a good thing. I'll skip the Diprivan; this is a real sleep inducer by itself.

Rockwell is top notch, Spacey's voice work is perfect (shades of Hal) and kudo's to Director Jones in his big movie debut (son of David Bowie). Please see it in theater if possible.

One of the most original films I've seen in a long time. Sam Rockwell gives an amazing performance. A great concept, and a great story, beautifully shot by Duncan Jones. You'll leave the theater feeling like you've been on the moon. Highly recommended!

I thought the pace of this movie needed to be faster, The story line was not clearly identified to the viewers , leaving you to piece together the plot. Sam Rockwell was very good, and Kevin Spacey as the computer was exceptional casting !. Overall a good friday night at the movies.
