antoine fuqua delivers yet again know for his unorthodox style of directing he gives us an all star cast movie that does not fall short of great storytelling brooklyn's finest is gritty graphic and gripping you can find yourself relating to what the characters are going through. this movie has a decent amount of action but it's the story that drives it much like training day and crash stories and lives become intertwined as the movies continues ethan hawk gives a great performance while don cheadle proves yet again he is a star followed by great supporting roles by gere and snipes this a great cop movie

I really didn't know what to expect, but it wasn't this. Not that the movie was so bad, it just was much darker than I anticipated. Now if I look at it from a theatrical stand point, the movie was exceptional. The film revealed three individual lives of three very different men at different places in their law enforcement careers. Each one of them had their on struggles. If life is supposed to be this bad, this film depicted it. All in all, I would recommend this film to someone who's into films true grit.

We loved it.. Have not seen a movie in a while that was able to show the true grit behind life in the inner city and and examining behavior of fellow human kind. Fuqua answers the question Why we have issues with those that are to suppose protect us... This movie may offend immigrant american and African-Americans, , police officers and resident of NY Borroughs, as it clearly paints a dark picture of life in the city Due to the illicit graphic behavior displayed This movie is not for kids under 18 or 21. It is strictly for adults. All actors do a superb job.. We thought we were actually in the city..

This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time! The story line is realistic and raw. From the beining to the end it is filled action. It was awesome the way all three law enforcement men's lives cross paths. The ending was VERY realistic!

I thought this movie was mind-provoking. It left me on the edge of my seat waiting for what's going to happen next. All 4 characters were intertwined with destiny and the director of this film masterfully captured every moment perfectly.

My wife usually watches love stories, but this movie was engrossing for both of us. One character gets what he wants, one gets out, one get what he doesn't expect but nobody wins. The 2hrs 13 minutes seems like 1 1/2 hours at the most. Plot development displays tremendous continuity between takes in the day of the live of very different characters.
