I thought that as far as novel-to-films go, this was a great movie. It's a transition book, and therefore a transition movie. It was everything that I thought it would be, plus of course, the guys aren't too bad to look at.

While movies are never as good as the actual books, this one did actually seem to follow the book along pretty accurately. All of the actors/actresses were well chosen and have played their parts to the fullest. The movie appeals to all ages, especially to some of the older crowds. Whether or not they are there to chaperone or catch a glimpse of shirtless Jacob, who knows?
Jacob and Bella's relationship is growing finally.
Great movie and would see again!

This was done wonderfully. It pretty much followed the book which delighted me. All the bare chested scenes totally made the movie worth seeing!

I loved this movie. This movie was more along the lines of the book. Only a few parts were off but I will see it again. The story line was great I wish they would have put the flight seen on the way home at the end of the movie. I was hoping to see that but the rest of the movie was great.

New Moon was really amazing! visually, special effects, acting - all so great!
BUT - The movie needed at least another hour!! It felt so rushed and I won't list everything, but they left out SO MUCH Edward stuff. waaaaaay 2 much jacob and not enough of the story/longing between edward and bella.

This was fantastic. I loved how they are developing the characters.Its a nice break out role for Dakota Fanning as well. She has really grown up.
THe emotions are incredible...and JAcob has become so BUFF! HE has really developed his acting since shark boy and LAva girl.
I cant wait till the next one.....

I went to see this movie with my 11 year old daughter and we both loved it. I thought it would be boring, but instead found myself not wanting it to end. The acting has much improved and also the direction compared to the first Twilight. I can't wait for the third sequel.

Loved Twilight even though it strayed a little from the book, New Moon was better than the first and true to the book. I stood in line for hours to see it open at midnight, and then again Saturday night. You get the best parts of the book and great flashbacks to Twilight. Team Edward is the greatest, but Team Jacob is hot too. Killer cliff hanger at the end, a little like Stephanie does with each book. Job well done to all.

New Moon stayed very true to the book. It was very smart to add Edward in Bella's hallucinations to get him in the movie more. I've already seen it twice and am looking forward to seeing it a third time. The ending was expected if you read the book. It also left you yearning for Eclipse which can't come out too soon for me!

I was thrilled with the how true to the book it was. The actors/actresses were all so true to character. The movie had the same effect as the books...you engross yourself to the point of actually being in there world and when it's over you want more. Can't wait for the third!!

I fully enjoyed New Moon, a great addition to the Twilight Saga. The characters develop strong personalities in this movie. I enjoyed Jacobs tranformation and Edwards daring attempt to be with Bella forever, in life or in death. The action and speacil effects were very well done and made the movie feel more realistic. I hope this level of excellence will continue with the next film.

I thought overall the movie was excellent. I definetly think people who read the books will enjoy it the most. Others may find the character and relationship development kind of slow paced. I thought the story was very well adapted to film while still staying very close to book.

The movie was much better than Twilight. I am a huge Twilight fan and took two of my friends who were not fans. They are now hooked on the series. I will be going to see it again. Definately go see the movie.

My niece took me to see this movie for my birthday and I was not disappointed. I loved the movie, especially the werewolf transformations! I also particulary liked being introduced to the Volturi, who fascinate me throughout all of the books. I even shed a couple of tears (between Bella and Jacob), just like I did when I read the book. This movie was better than Twilight, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Each book is better than the next. I have a feeling the movies will be the same. Overall, I think this was a fantastic movie. It was worth standing in line to see!!

For fans of the Twilight series New Moon will be wonderful. It picks up where Twilight left off and continued developing the characters and drawing you into their lives. New Moon also teases you with new characters and new developments so you are eager to see the third and fourth installments.
If you aren't a fan of the Twilight series and didn't see the first one, the movie would probably be a bit confusing. The few "reminders" from the first movie won't offer much help if you have trouble filling in the gaps. So, if you're confused....see the first one!
Overall, Think they did a great job. Can't wait for 3 and 4!!!
