The movie is good but lack of the magic that I got from the first one.

I really enjoyed this movie. I have not read the books, but my daughter has & she was dissapointed that the movie did not follow the book in several places. Since I have not read the books, I have nothing to compare. I really like a good love story with an unusual theme that the couple is facing. I cannot wait for the 3rd movie next summer.

The movie was okay. What made it fantastic was Jacob (Taylor). He did a fantastic job. I foresee a fantastic future for this actor. They also should have shown more cullen clan.

for all twilighters...its a given that you'll love this movie! with a different director..the acting is better...more action and the wolf transistions are amazing! another thing i loved was the vampire fights! think matrix fighting...oh man not only you will enjoy this movie but bring the boyfriend along because he will love it as well.

The new director really does make all the difference. The effects were great, the Wolf Pack wasn't too corny, the sparkling skin wasn't nearly as fake, the movie followed the book quite well and the ending leaves you really wanting Eclipse!

I would recommend this movie to a friend, BUT clue in non-readers of the book with a brief overview of what is expected to happen. I feel that without reading all the heavy thoughts (depression) & passing of time that is captured in the book, some of New Moon may not add up quite right. The production & effects of this movie were great & better than Twilight though. Jacob's character really shines while Edward's shrinks away (which is supposed to be the case). I would still recommend viewers to see Twilight first (before New Moon), to definitely see them in order & read all the books. Despite their thickness, each of the four are really a quick & easy read. Fun fun!

The story line is truer to the book. The characters are more believable. Kristen Stewart plays a stronger, though broken, Bella instead of the stuttering angsty teenage girl we saw in the first movie. Having Bella correlate to the books made the movie version more believable, made the love and longing between the characters more real. Thank you to the directors, producers, and everyone else for NOT shooting this movie with a blue or green filter. It was the most annoying thing about the first movie. The colors were rich and the movie was humerous when it was supposed to be and not just because someone made a poorly acted face and the scene wasn't re-shot. This far surpassed the first movie.

I must admit that I am a big fan of the Twilight Saga. Saying that New Moon was the toughest book for me to read, with the absence of Edward that is. But going on opening night to the movie was so much fun!!! The crowd really go into it. The exciting scenes kept my attention with lots of action and a few bits of witty lines made it compete for me. They really followed the book and I like that part of it as well. I liked it so much my daughter and I seen it again on Sunday. I hope everyone that sees it has as much fun as we did.

New Moon was absolutely fantastic! It far surpassed the original Twilight, stuck true to the book and really heightened the love triangle tension. I was on Team Edward, now I'm torn! (Taylor Lautner's acting skills really impressed me. Not only is he gorgeous, he's really natural).
Special effects were pretty great, esp. the werewolf transformation!

The movie was enjoyable, seeing it in a theater full of tweens was hyserical. There were screams of delight when Edward and Jacob first appeared.
The story flowed pretty well, especially if you were familiar with the first book/movie. There were several scenes in that were not intended to be funny where the audience erupted with laughter (after Bella cliffdives and is drowning and Edward appears next to her in the water, And when Bella and Edward appear skipping hand in hand through a field dressed in period costumes from the 19th century)
All in all a good movie, though some of the fights scenes looked like a video game instead of real acting.

As a lover of the books I was thrilled that the movie followed closely the story - a few reviews I have read said the beginning was slow but the book beginning was slow as well. A great movie for date night and I will be seeing it again - a much better adaptation that the first.

I have to start by saying that I had no interest in the "Twilight" thing until I saw the 1st movie. I hadn't read the books yet, however, read all four in 2 weeks after seeing the 1st movie twice. Twilight was good, but New Moon was great. Weitz followed the book, the special effects were amazing, and the Volturi were mesmerizing. And I have to say, Dakota Fanning didn't disappoint...I look forward to more of the Volturi. Bring on Eclipse!!

I haven't read the series, so this may impact my opinion. I enjoyed the giggles and screams coming from the teen girls more than the movie itself, particularly when Jacob removed his shirt for the first time.

I took my nieces to see this and was not disappointed! It was worth waiting in line and we will see it again...and maybe again! My only wish for this saga is, I hope eventually, I feel Bella is as in awe of Edward as in the books...I just don't feel it!

My Mother (57 yrs), Daughter (8 yrs) and I went to see this movie and we all absolutely loved it. We couldn't believe we had sat there for 2 hours when it was over, because we were so into it that the time flew. The special effects were awesome, and the storyline was so well written. We wouldn't change a thing... and loved the cliff hanger at the end. This is a movie for all ages! Can't wait for the next one.

Was not disappointed. It's a teen movie and very romantic. Love the love triangle. Who would you raather be in love with, a vampire or were wolf? Nice escape movie. My 13 year old had some complaints about the story and acting but I enjoyed it and knowing the end of the series as I do the cliff hanger will not disappoint you. Enjoy

I took my two teenage daughters and we had a blast at the midnight showing! I have not read the books so I really did not know what to expect. I thought the experience was great and the movie help my interest. I was so sad or Bella as the director did an amazing job letting us experience her sadness and depression about Edward leaving her. It was action packed, funny and still had the love thing going on. Oh and in the theater when Jacob pulled his shirt off...there were screams and "Oh My Goshes" everywhere. I think even the very few men that went were just as thrilled too. It was GREAT!! I will probably go to the hteater again to see it and take others that normally would not see that kind of movie.

I was so pleased with this movie! The new director is dead on! Edward is finally dressing appropriately for his charactor, and not looking crazed all the time! The ending is sudden, but if you have read the books, it is not as shocking because it tweaks your interest for the next installment... If you have not read the books, it is a cliffhanger!! The wolves are great and I am so glad Taylor Lautner kept the role... He was awesome! I cannot wait to see it again and again!

After reading all of the Twilight books, I have been anticipating this movie. To my pleasure the book was followed almost exactly by this movie.
While attending this movie with my 29 year old daughter, we were both amazed at the excited gasps that were evident throughout the theater when Taylor "Jacob" came on the screen. Without a doubt he is the star and the reason this movie will do incredibly well at the theater.
I did not see any chemistry between Kristen and Robert at all in this movie. Taylor Lautner had passion and amazing chemistry in every scene.
I will definitely see this again just to see Taylor! He is going to be a very big star.

I read all of the books and was pleased with how the movie was able to tell a story that those who have read the book could enjoy while also telling enough of a story for those that have not read ahead.
