First off, I enjoyed the first Twilight film so I was hoping for more of the same. This one was a bit too melodramatic although I guess I was that way when I was a teenager. The special effects were pretty good, especially the wolf scenes. It spent a bit too much time with the girl and all her angst and moodiness and not enough time with moving the story along. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first. But the action scenes were good.

This was a pretty good movie, but a cliff hanger that leads into the next installment. Special effects were very good, and the movie moved along at a very good pace. It was enjoyable for both myself and my granddaughter. Some mild violence but nothing more than what is on night time television.

I took my 14-year-old and her friend to see New Moon, and everybody had a great time. Both of them agreed they liked it way more than Twilight - they wished they'd gone earlier, so they could go back and see it again, and they can't wait for it to come out on Blu-Ray.

This movie was awesome. Of course if it were more like the book it would be more awesome. Love Jacob & Edward! Definitely went after all the chaos of teenage girls yelling in the movie theatres :)

New Moon was a fantastic movie. J.k Rowling is out of the picture and Stephenie Myer is in. I read all the books. No other book has the touches Stephenie added to the Twilight saga.

I saw it more than one time. The first viewing (Nov. 21) in a theater packed, made it impossible to enjoy the movie fully (loud reactions around me). But i went back with my mom (84). We both loved it. It is beautifully composed: great feel, color palate, atmosphere and music. The young actors give as nuanced performances as you could expect from much more seasoned pros. I will see it again. Mr. Lautner's development as an actor, since the first movie, is astounding. But Ms. Stewart is the queen of understated expression. The only criticism: Mr. Pattinson's make up while much more consistent than in the first movie, is too powdery-covering and Mr. Rathbone's hair is ridiculous (distracting).

My Students and I read the book in class. The boys enjoyed seeing the book come to life. They especially like to wolves! I guess that makes us Team Jacob.

I bought my tickets on line, drove 100 miles on Nov.19th, waited 4 hrs in line to get a good seat, with 3 teenage girls when I should have been craming for a midterm in a class that I was barely passing. Now was the movie worth all the trouble? YES !! I went back the same day to watch with sister, then again a few days later with sister-in-law. The only let down was that some of the best dialog in the book regarding bedroom scene after returning from Itay was left out.

I went to see this movie with my wife, because she's a huge fan, she'd already seen it twice but insisted I have to see it in the theatres. Bela annoyed me, the interaction between Bela and Edward was mind-numbing, much like the Sam and Frodo scenes in the last two Lord of the Rings movies. But that aside, the story was good, even if it was corny at parts. I remember laughing at scenes just because they were so bad. I can see how girls/women are into it and I am not ripping on that fact, I think it's cool that so many people are into this story. My wife promises me that the last two books were much more action packed, and that I will like them even more. To be honest I liked New Moon more than I liked Twilight.

I have been reading the books and even though this was not my favorite book of the Twilight Saga, the movie was so great that I went back and reread the book and loved it. I have already seen this movie twice and woud love to see it again.

If you are a fan of the books this is a must see. If you haven't read the books, this movie is not for you. Very little time is spent on character development....that was all done in the book and seems to be assumed that you will know this in the movie. The movie does not portray the characters' motivations etc but it does follow the incidents in the book very closely. I almost think these movies are geared more for a mini-series on cable tv rather than the silver screen. but well worth at least the matinee price to see Jacob's riped bod larger than life!

This was so much better than the first, which I loved as a grown fan-girl. Even my husband said, "There is absolutely nothing bad about that movie," despite the fact he wanted to hate it. Now we have a standing date for June 20 to see Eclipse. He even said he doesn't mind standing in line for hours until midnight to get New Moon on video at Hot Topic. Ignore the hype, go with an open mind. You will love it!

Acting was contrived if not forced. Special effects were awesome however not enough to tip the scales to give this movie anything better than average. Almost fell asleep in the middle of this painfully long film. I know the women will not agree (especially my wife) but once you get past the abs, oh yeah, there is nothing. Boring, average at best. I just loved it. I had some serious concerns about the second movie being able to live up to the first. The dynamic with the character Jacob was just as powerful if not more than the one with Edwards. That made it even better than the firsts for me. I loved it.

My daughter and I loved the movie. If you haven't read the books you may not like it. The movie followed the book as closely as it could for a 2 hour span. This is not your action packed film, but has some action parts. It really tells a story, but will drag for some who have not read the books.

This one blew me away. I didn't start out as a Twilight fan until recently. I read all the books and then had to talk myself into watching the first movie. Where there were ALOT of inconsistencies between that one and the book, with New Moon it pretty much stuck to the story. Even though I love Edward and Bella, I fell in love with the other characters more in this movie. You get to see more sides to Jacob, Alice and Jasper that you just didn't get in the first. I think Bella should have showed more emotion at losing Edward, but can understand the time restraints on making a scene. I would definatley recommend New Moon to anyone who will listen. Can't wait for ECLIPSE in June!!

never saw the first one, but had to see what all the hype was about. guess I'm too mature to understand why people consider this a love story. very depressing. the only one that caught my eye was the werewolf Jacob. Lost Boys, Dracula, Interview w/a Vampire etc. this one is no contest, except for the teenagers it wouldn't have an audience . sorry just my opinion, with a little more experience these kids can be great. + a better script. thanks

This was a very good movie. The acting was better and the special effects much improved from Twilight. As a "mature" woman I did view this movie from a different perspective than the typical teen viewer. My main criticism is that I just don't see in Bella's face and eyes the great passion and undying love she feels for Edward. Kristen's dialog seems forced and removed. Her "eye blinking" when showing heart break was distracting...almost funny. I think Kristen just doesn't have the real life experience or can relate to such a strong love. Don't get me wrong, she's a good actress and a beautiful young woman. I think she just needs a little more coaching to capture on the BIG screen her love for Edward.
