New Moon was FAR better than Twilight (the movie), but still does not compare to the book. If you have not yet read the series, read it FIRST-you will not be disappointed. Jacob was amazing!!!

I was surprised to see so many different demographics covered in the people in the theatre with me! I'm 54, have read all of the books, seen both movies and I have to say that this movie was awesome. It kept really close to the book, which doesn't happen too often now-a-days. I've read the bad reviews about some of the acting but I think they're looking too far and forgetting that it's just entertainment. A good forbidden love story gets us all of the time. I was recently asked what camp I was on! I told them it depended on what I was looking for, a vampire who was willing to kill himself for love, or a werewolf who was willing to kill someone else for love. :-)

Okay, so I saw this when it came out at midnight, and it was awesome then. Then I saw it on Sunday, and it was still amazing, so I wasn't imagining it.
The wolves looked really good, and they really stayed true to the books, which made me happy. New Moon is with out a doubt ten times better than Twilight. Now don't get me wrong, I still love Twilight, it's just that New Moon didn't let me down.
I recomend this movie to everyone.
P.S. Taylor Lautner did an excelent job in this movie.

New Moon was without a doubt, better than Twilight! To me, it was closer to the book than Twilight was. New Moon had most of the needed and important scenes. The wolves looked amazing and were exactly how I envisioned them in the book.
The only thing that I didn't like, was that the movie seemed a little rushed to me. Like, it didn't really feel like 2 hrs and 10 minutes. It felt like and hour and a half.
Besides that, New Moon was A-Mazing!!!

I was kinda disappointed with the way they tried to make certain scenes funny, and I'm talking about in a stupid funny kind of way. It just doesn't fit. The scene in the woods where Edward breaks it off with Bella should definately have been better. There was no emotion from Bella. I didn't like the scene when Bella, Mike, and Jacob were at the movies and Jacob flipped out on Mike like he was going to attack him, it was an aweful way to portray that scene in the movie. The acting definately could have been better, Bella especially needs work, she doesn't seem to put effort into the movie, it's like she's disinterested in the part.

New Moon exceeded my expectations! Not that I didn't love Twilight-of course I did-but we know it had its little flaws. I was thrilled with this production from Edward’s sparkles to the fabulous wolves. 10 minutes more interaction between Bella & Edward would’ve been nice(see end of book). Rob gave a great performance(it’s hard to exude feelings when you’re made of marble) as did Taylor-no surprises there, but it’s hard to critique the rest of the cast since none of them say much. Critics shouldn’t bother to review this saga since THEY JUST DON'T GET IT! - Bella thinks she’s unremarkable, and Kristen plays her perfectly. Those who didn't read the books were upset with the abrupt ending, so - learn to read! Bye,going to see it again!

The lighting of the scenes, especially the forest scenes are outstanding. As far as the films go, New Moon really keeps you curious to find out what is going to happen next, even if you have read the books. The use of the camera panning while showing Bella's three month emotional void, the emails to Alice, and showing what is happening to Bella and Victoria at the same time. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Billy Burke show range in emotional growth through the film. Not to mention the added cast of Dakota Fanning and Charlie Sheen. Lastly, New Moon was far better than the original, and better than I could have imagined the second film to have been adapted.

Very thankfully they stuck to the book when adapting the script. This is definately worth your $10...especially if you're a fan of the books. I even brought a friend with me that hasn't yet started reading the series and even she was impressed!
You'll regret not seeing this on the big screen (especially for the CGI's/effects)!

I really enjoyed the movie and felt it stayed true to the book. Still, I wanted more. There is just so much detail in all of the Twilight books that it is impossible to get everything into a movie without it becoming an epic 3-4 hour deal.
The special effects were great, and the storyline flowed well. Will definitely see it again!

NEW MOON-good enough, but Twilight had finger on the pulse of the book in a way that the sequel did not. NM takes point by point account of the book but like a glossy soap opera with cheesy acting (director's fault) & the " guest stars" did not elevate the movie. They were way stiff & dinner theater-like. Okay, so maybe it's a hard script to act. But KRISTEN STEWART rocked the incredibly difficult task of making her character natural and full of real emotion. I miss the tension & "messiness" of Twilight.

I had enjoyed "Twilight" when it first came out, with it's campy and sometimes corny feel, so I agreed to take my daughters to the midnight showing of "New Moon." I was expecting another movie of the same caliber this time around, but was completely surprised. It was like comparing a home video to a really great production with an obviously higher budget. Missing my night's sleep before work the next day was totally worth it. The only distasteful parts were the brand plugs, taking something truly cool and turning it into the ordinary. All in all, when they can take 2.5 hours and leave you wondering where the time went and wanting more, somebody did something right! :)

It was obviously much better produced than Twilight. I thought the wolf pack and Jacob could have been included more in the movie, but overall I loved it and have seen it twice. A little less lipstick on Edward would have been nice too.

I agree this movie was much better than twilight. I thought that Bella and Jacob had much more chemistry than bella and edward. I Stilll didn't see that emotions you get from the book. the volturi, could have been better. I just wish they would follow the book more, and get better dialogue. these kids are supposed to be somwhat smart.

What can I say...each book is a treasure in itself. How can anyone say one book/movie is better than another. Each stands on it's own merit!
This movie is no exception. The scenes with the Voultori were stunning as well as horriffic! Such is the reminder of the vampire world!
The wolves were beautifically savage. So much like they are in real life!

The film adaptation of the book New Moon was excellent. The director stayed true to the book. The CGI effects were awesome. The subtle changes that were made to bring this book to life were great. Overall, it was much better than Twilight.

I wasn't really into the series when Twilight came out- it took me 2 months to watch the movie after it came out on DVD. After watching New Moon, I CAN'T wait for the next one that comes out in June. The movie left me on the edge of my seat and intrigued the whole time. I wish it would have been a 3 or 3 1/2 hour movie. It left me wanting more!!!!!!! I will definately be in line at the theater to watch Eclipse. Can't wait!!! I am a true fan of the series now!!! I asked for the books for Christmas!!! :)

I was really looking forward to this second installment and my 11 year old daughter and i were waiting in line with hundreds of other girls, when the doors opened we got the worst seats as they cut in line.the movie came on and they talked and screamed through the whole movie. at one point my daughter said she'll enjoy it when it comes out on dvd. i will say, team edward and team jacob.....if anyone reads the books, they know she never ends up with jacob. its like joining a loosing team. another thing is, the characters in the book are described in exact detail. i look forward to eclipse.:)

I loved this movie! I saw it opening night and then had to go back and see it again the next night. It was better than the first movie. I loved it, loved it, loved it. The director stayed true to the book and the special effects were great! A must see!!! I can't wait to see it again
