We enjoyed the movie. However, we liked the first one better. We've not read the books and plan to read them prior to seeing the remaining Twilight movies. I felt like I was missing out by having not read this book. However, overall, we didn't feel like it was a waste of our time or money.

OMG! this was an awesome movie. A thousand times better than twilight and any one would love it. It was exciting and sexy but was appropriate for anyone that's read the book. If you've read the book you won't be disappointed with the movie.

Great Movie... I can't wait for the next one!!!! It kept me on the edge of my seat, and it had a good ending, but it also left you hanging on what's going to happen in the next movie. I love the Twilight Saga!!!!

The movie kept me on edge the entire time. Everyone in the movie theatre was caught off guard on the ending. I highly recommend this movie because the acting is great, and it is so lifelike.

Bella and Edward continue their adventure with a twist. Enter a new character into Bella's life. She can't get a normal guy though which makes for more other worldly excitement. This movie has the right balance of excitement, romance and fright. Just right for the Twilight fan. The ending stops you in your trakcs and gets you ready for the next movie to come out.

New Moon is a well-acted movie that is faithful to the novel. Kristen Stewart continues to excel as the love-lorn lead of the movie. Taylor Lautner steps up and delivers an excellent performance as Jacob. The most pleasant surprise of the movie is Ashley Greene, in her expanded role as Alice.
The writers do a good job of carrying multiple emotional threads through the movie. The top thread is, of course, the "young love" thread, which in this movie is added to by the love that Jacob has for Bella. Underlying this thread are multiple "danger" threads, including the threat posed by Victoria, the enmity between the vampires and the werewolves, and the threats posed by the world-ruling vampire clan, the Volturi.

New Moon was an enjoyable movie to watch, and it followed Twilight nicely. The characters continued to develop, the plot moved along nicely: there was comedy, drama, and love in this movie. I took a friend with me to the movie, who had not read or seen Twilight, and with a little bit of information about the characters, she really enjoyed the movie.
There was much more action in New Moon, than in Twilight. They did a good job at including the important parts of the book in the movie. It is more fun to take someone who knows the story, because you are both waiting for the story to unfold. I recommend you take a friend to the movie so you have someone that will enjoy the movie with you.
I recommend you go see this movie.

A movie that really is worth the wait to see, the acting is flawless by almost the entire cast. It may not have been 100% to the book but still one of the best movies I have seen to date.

The movie was great!!! It really followed the book. Each movie is better then the last and if this keeps up I can't wait to see Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Breaking Dawn was my favorite book so I hope the movie is the best too! Can't wait till New Moon comes out on DVD, I will own it and will watch it as many times as I want. If you liked the books, you should really go and see the movies!!!!

This was definetly worth going at midnight and waiting in the lines to see it. I was impressed at how much closer this one was compared to the book than the first one. I hope Eclipse is just as amazing.

This movie did a great job of portraying most of the scenes in the book that were my favorite. I wish they would have allowed Edward to meet Bella upstairs after her party so he could give her the CD. I loved that part of the book where they had that time together before he left the next day. Overall this is a great movie. I read some reviews that folks were lost and disappointed they didn't laugh, well if you would read the books, you would pick up on some of the humor, and inside info that fills in the blanks. Don't hate the movie when you haven't read the books.

My 14 year old son and 8 year old daughter LOVE the Twilight Saga. They have read all four books. I too have read them on several occasions. Stephanie Meyers is phenomenal! I enjoyed Twilight the movie, but loved the book. We have seen New Moon 3 times now, and like Twilight, it only gets better each and every time! A definite must see for people of all ages. I am 42 and a die-hard Jacob fan :)

Awful movie. Slow moving, poor character development, dark, sad,.... boring. It was so bad I left before it was over. The plot was going nowhere, just constant brooding of the characters. Can't believe anyone likes this movie.

I am not a TWILIGHT fan, have read none of the books, but my daughter is, so we went to see the movie. What amazed me was the absolute lack of joy, happiness, or passion throughout the entire film. Later, someone told me that the books are rather dark and lacking in joy anyway, but I will not return to see a film that at no point made me smile in some form.

This movie is based off the excellent books of Stephenie Meyer! The story itself is great, however the acting and special effects really let you down, forinstance the waves when Bella is in the water. They couldn't have done that any other way????

I was a little skeptical since I didn't care for Twilight very much. However, I really enjoyed New Moon. I actually liked it more that the book. Seeing New Moon makes me want to start reading Eclipse right now. Looking forward to that movie this summer!

I wasn't expecting much from the film- especially after seeing the first film. "New Moon" was better than its predecessor, but the acting and passion was still lacking. In the books, Bella has a bit more personality/show of emotion that is not translated on the big screen.
2 questions: What was up with Jacob's ugly wig? What was going on with Edward's chest?

I have read New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. I have not read Twilight but have seen the movie. New Moon the the movie was very good and very in line with the major points from the book. Loved both of them and cannot wait for Eclipse to come out in June.

Well, I expected this to be a little slow, like the book. There were no surprises which was expected. I agree with another reviewer, it would have been nice to see Edward suffering, but then that wouldn't have been true to the book. This movie was just O.K. But that is O.K. because I expected it. Jacob was...more than O.K.....eye candy, mmm, mmm. Two last things though, I don't think face smash kisses indicate level of affection and I also think the attempt at the end to shock by Edward's last words (I wont ruin for anyone) fell flat. Still, looking forward to the next movie to, hopefully, make up for the flatness of this one.

Twilight was one sided and about discovery and awareness of the extraordinary, New Moon is a study of contrasts. First we have betrayal by Edward leaving Bella alone, triggering anxiety and withdrawal. Then there is the loyalty of Jacob who draws Bella out and awakens feelings of security. This movie is about choices and how emotional values and what is 'right' can be hard to discern when feelings override logical thought.
Teen angst prevails despite, or because of, the arrested development of the 109 y.o. teenage vampire. Confusion and groping for the right responses is a major theme for the new teen werewolf. And between these lies the emotional turmoil that is Bella, a human caught in a world where 'everything may be true'.

Better rental. The movie was a bit too slow, but the special effects were excellent. Would have appreciated seeing how Edward suffered during the separation as well as Bella - maybe that would have helped. Hopefully the next one will be better.
