The erotic dilemma of a transformed vampire who cannot act on his impulses, so evident in the first Twilight, is notably absent from this sequel. The director seems to be more concerned about cute teens and 6 pack abs than about character development. Kristen Stewart does a good job given the restraints of the picture. I hope the 3rd sequel will be a step above this one.

Not as good as the 1st. Should have used the same director. Vamp eye color, way over done. Lag X in Bellas depression could have been filled with more story. Won't pay $ to see on the Big screen again.

The acting totally sucks, but I would only recommend this movie to someone who read the books. I looove the books, and just wanted to see them on the big screen. I don't think the director knew how big this movie was going to hit, and maybe that's why they casted hoooorrible actors. The movie doesn't do any justice for the books.

this movie sucked so bad. the acting was pitiful. and what was that when they were cry-kissing? wtf i read the book and it basically followed it, but at the final scene in the movie, they throw a main plot from the third book into it. i don understand why the director did that. hat sets u the next movie to be failure. the only people who i would recommend this movie to would been teenage girls with crushes on the hot male actors like robert pattinson and taylor lautner [i am at a loss as to why they were cast for their parts. at most they should have been extras or something. THEY CANT ACT!] the only people saying this movie is good is young girls who can only focus on the guys, so they dont realize how stupid and bad it was.

Okay. It's official, i LOVE this movie. I was not so into the whole twilight movies or whater! I read all the books out of bordness & thought that they were amazing, but making a movie was going to screw up the "Magic, & Intesity" of the books. But the movies were not so bad. I actually enjoyed it. I don't pick teams because if i was in Bella's possition of being caught in the middle of two extraemly hot guys i would just run away! Lol. Well the point is, that i would defanitly see this movie again & it is such a thrill to sit there & share this experience over & over again!.

New Moon had much better cinematography than its precessor, Twilight. This one was also more narrative in its telling that the previous movie. The only thing I missed from the first one was the quickness in which the story flowed. At times, this story becomes a bit stagnant and stiff, but otherwise a fantastic effort and if you are a fan of the books like I am, you WILL love this movie too (even if u r like this reviewer and totally on TEAM EDWARD)!

I still don't think that Kristin is believable as Bella, but she did do much better in this sequel to Twilight. Anyone who may have been a true fan of Ed and Bells being together just might change their mind when they see Jake take his shirt off! Every chick in the audience just about lost their minds when they showed a close up of Taylor's abs! Oh MY!! Still, I am a big fan of leaving the original story alone, and they changed some things, hence the four stars. Not that they were bad changes, but any true Twilight fan will know what I mean. Also, the ending was just plain FOUL!! I mean, they just left us hanging. Good thing Eclipse will be out soon!

I applaud New Moon and enjoyed the many improvements to this sequel. I felt the actors improved their acting and brought more emotion to their characters. Taylor Lautner proved he was ready to shine and was able to move the film along with great emotion and stellar action. The movie had some great humor, but was able to slow things down really well when an emotional scene was coming. Very exciting to see the Volturi clan and can't wait for future scenes in the upcoming films. Also, a trailer for "Remember Me" with Robert Pattinson before the movie was a nice treat. Great film that was much better than Twilight and I can't wait for David Slade's Eclipse!

Are you kidding me? The only good thing about this movie was Jacob, especially shirtless Jacob! Are Bella and Edward really actors? Their acting hasn't improved at all since "Twilight". The "kissing scences" between these two is like watching some one with severe stomach cramps. Who the heck is telling them to make those faces and noises? And Edward dude, you got some big ones to appear shirtless in a movie with Jacob. There is no comparison. And what the heck happened to your nipple? I am so Team Jacob,"Shirtless team Jacob" that is!!!

This was not my favorite book of the series, but I still like it and the movie! It just gives you more Edward and Bella! I thought the movie was very close to the book. Twilight is my favorite of the two, but I was not disappointed. Rob Pattinson portrayed the mood of Edward perfectly, esp. when he leaves! Music could have been better and more connected to the first movie. I wish the theme music had been the same as Twilight. Great movie! Great love story!

Incredibly bad movie. Writing, acting, camera work were all much worse than the first movie. Edward's make-up would look out-of-place on an 80s Goth Band, the lead actress can't emote beyond "misery", and her character has no redeeming features for the two male leads to be fighting over her.
The only part of the movie that showed any care, thought, or budget was the werewolf special effects. Everything else was laughably bad.

I love the books...but the movies dont do them justice. I enjoyed seeing the books on the big screen, of course...but if I had to just rate New Moon as a movie...it would fall very short. I had a friend with me that has never read the books, just seen Twilight and now, New Moon. She was impressed with all the skin, but we both were dissappointed. I will still go see Eclispe because I love the books. I can only hope it is better than its predecessors.

I am a Twilight lover all the way. I am TEAM EDWARD! I think that Chris Weitz (director) did a good job of this movie considering that the book was awful. Congrats on making something out of nothing Chris! I wanted to see each Twilight movie 5 times, but I'm not sure I want to see New Moon 3 more times. The beginning and end were the only good parts. The MUSIC WAS AWFUL! You should see the movie, but I doubt you will want to see it again. GOOD FIGHTING!

Well worth the time to see. I loved the way the characters have developed and grown. I like the fact that they made apparitions of Edward rather than just the voices (as it is in the book). I wish they would have spent a little more time developing the relationships of Emily, Bella and the wolf pack. But it still flowed well. Can't wait for Eclipse on June 30, 2010!

The movie felt a bit silly at times. The teenage girls at the movie theater made it even worse with their swooning and giggling everytime Lautner came on the screen. It was MUCH better than the first however. Stuck pretty close to the books. Only young hormonal girls and people who followed the book can appreciate these movies. OK overall
