Overall I think people are expecting the movies to top the books and that is just NOT going to happen! Get a grip! For being a movie based on a BOOK I think it was amaZing!!!!!!! Loved it! The men were drop dead gorgeous in it !!! Better than Twilight too! Good JOB! :) Can't wait to sit on my couch and watch it EVERYNIGHT!

I, like most other fans, started counting down after seeing Twilight. This movie was good but far from great. It stayed close to the book....but as all books....close but no cigar. What they did with Jasper and Rosalies looks was terrible. The movie did have a lot of the one liners from the book and that was a good thing. I am still a huge fan and will continue to see the movies as they come out, but won't set my sights to high. Like I said, it was a really good movie, but fell a little short in my opinion.

This movie was much better than what I thought it would be. They pretty much stuck to the book and they didn't make it as depressing as the book. I still believe the book was better but I would def. go see this again and recommend it to a friend!

The movie was AWESOME. Robert, Kristen, and Taylor were fantastic. Significant lines were kept in the movie, and the additions (which aren't in the book) truly add to the "understanding" of the movie for those who have not read the books. Great job, I can't wait for eclipse & breaking dawn!

I tht the movie was great. I do thnk they couldve done better w the bigger scenes. They r so good n the book. But nthn can b as bad as the meadow scene n the Twilight movie. Tht was n still is unbearable 2 watch. Special effects way better. jacob actlly lookd good. i just wish thy could do entire book, w/o cuttin anything out... i dnt care if its 6hrs long... jst like harry potter thr isnt enof time to fit it all n. Okay, so some of the girls are alittle over the top with their addictions to the shirtless male actors. Wow don't some of you readers remember being young once. You must remember too that these books are found in the TEEN section, the movies have a PG-13 rating. Its not for young ones, so don't take them. The movie though was very true to the book which is sometimes hard to do. The males in my family who didn't read the books were able to really understand what was going on, and loved it as much as us girls in the family who have read the books. Much better than the first one, three cheers for CW. I'll be there at midnight when Eclipse comes out.

The sequel to New Moon was awesome. They did a really fantastic job of sticking to the orginal book story line and as well as adding some great extras with the Voltori. The costuming and special effects were superb. Overall great movie. If you like the books or the first movie then trust me, this is a definite must see.

Well I'm a fan that is for sure. I went to my local premier of New Moon last night or this morning I should say and can not stop talking about. I reread the book for the 4th time just before so that it was fresh in my head. Chris Weitz you my man are a genius! You followed the book so well that I can complain. You added just the right visual info to get the point across without straying from what Stephenie Meyer wrote. Watching the movie was almost like seeing what my mind thought about as I was reading the book. Of course I'm going to watch the movie a couple more times, reread the book again, and get the DVD when it comes out. I'm a die heart fan! Go See the MOVIE!! You will not regret it!

I was disappointed about this movie. The first hour was kinda of boring. From the previews, I thought it would have had more action. They rushed through the good parts and drug out the boring parts. Way to much fantasy. The movie itself- costumes, make-up, backgrounds, and characters were awsome. The ending AWSOME!!

So much better then the first and I think alot of that has to do with the new director. Love the fact that they pretty well stuck to the book. Though there are a few added parts and some minor changes. It was well worth it and I hope to see it many more times in theatre. I know I will snatch it up when it comes out on dvd. I LOVED this movie. I read all the books and was looking forward to the second movie. The special effects were great. I loved it from the beginning to end. The warewolf scenes were my favorite. (and any scene showing Jacob without a shirt!) It was so fun to see the midnight showing with all of the other Twihards.

I think either my expectations were a little too high or I was way too tired at midnight. The movie was ok. WAY better than the first one (and when I say WAY, I mean WAAAY better). Although I was a little dissapointed, the movie was true to the book and casting for the Volturi was pretty good, just what I imagined them to be. However dissapointed I was, I still do love Twilight and will probably see the next.

I am a fan of the Twilight series books, so I expected a lot. I think some of the make-up was a lot more realistic in this movie, but the overall dark coloring of the film itself was annoying and also the camera work was very disjointed at times. We didn't like the music.Music evokes emotion and this soundtrack leaves a lot to be desired. The werewolves were realistic but the depth of the love between Bella and Edward in the movie, just doesn't come across the way it is written. And the unconditional love is really the draw for the audience, so I think they missed it there as well
I would recommend the movie and really only because you can see the characters you loved so much in the book come to life.

This movie was exponentially better than Twilight. The movie was more true to the book, and music was great, and the directing was exceptional, however Kristen Steward and Robert Pattinson did not act very well at all, which is sad considering the rest of the cast did a stellar job. Taylor Lautner was amazing as Jacob again, and the rest of the cast did great too, but Kristen and Rob just seem awkward together and just aren't that good honestly.

I was extremely disappointed with the movie. The director of New moon was different than of Twilight.
It was so corny in some parts, that the entire audience of obsessed twilighters at the mid-night showing of the movie would start laughing OUT LOUD during the parts that were supposed to be serious. For the most part it was true to the book, though they could have done a better job and taken the corny parts out. I hated this movie. I will NOT buy it when it ocmes out on DVD. Nor will I keep up with the twilight saga. As far as future movies… I think they should be done producing them before they ruin the series.

I will have to admit that it followed the book very well. There were some small changes, which I understand, that didn't go along with the book. I would have to say it is a great movie to watch. Two major flaws I saw. Kristen definitely should have acted better when Edward left. HARDLY any real emotion there. I also think the vampires should have been more white. There were some scenes I could hardly tell they were different from humans except for their eyes, which was a great addition from the last movie. The La Push Gang and the Volturi...two thumbs up. I only gave it 4 stars because of the emotion scenes with Kristen...the rest of the movie was really great. :) I will definitely see it again.
