I must say, we were crazy enough to go to the midnight showing after having a baby just 3 1/2 months ago. I guess that means we were okay with the lack of sleep today at work. On to the movie: this was a much better adaptation to the book that the first. I believe the movie flowed much better this time and was easier to follow (if you read or did not read the book). Sometimes the acting was a little far fetched, but all in all it was a good movie.

OK i went last night and well i thought it was awesome. i think that they should have made the werewolves taller. Jacob... well there was nothing wrong with him in this movie. kristen REALLY really needs acting lessons. i didnt like the rain when Bella confronts Jacob. i thought it was distracting. Edward looks better this movie than the last one. he still should have waxed his chest. there was alot of action in thisa movie. the connection after Edward leaves and Bella saw him; i just didnt feel it. but i loved the very end freaking awesome cliffhanger! i loved this movie! can't wait for Eclipse

Highly recommend reading the book before watching as the movie was made for twi-fans. Chris Weitz did a great job bringing in enough Edward into New Moon. Melissa Rosenberg also did a great job adapting for the screenplay. The soundtrack is soooo awesome and glad I waited to watch before buying.

I was so pleased that New Moon was in better hands than Twilight was. I agree with some of the posts in that the acting, makeup, etc were more believable in this movie. I was disappointed to see how much of the story was left out with the werewolf legend, mostly the imprinting. I feel like that was such an important part in why Jacob was upset when he first phased in the book to find out he had not imprinted with Bella. No mention of it here and I hope that story line is brought up in Eclipse.

Let me start by saying Im a huge twilight fan and have read all 4 books but this particular movie however in no way captured the emotional pull of the New moon book itself. I do understand this is a movie and it has a time frame and every detial can not be fit in, however every scene in the movie was rushed the lack of emotion from Kristen(bella) when edward left was very upsetting. Summit really rushed this movie, The first director from (Twilight) said it best that the movie needed more time then summit was willing to give this movie was in no way true to the book.emotionally I felt nothing the purpose of the movie is to capture what you feel when you read the book not just the scenes or the scenery . I am very disappointed

The special effects were very well done and realistic. I felt the movie stayed true to the book. Much more comedy and less awkwardness than the first movie. I would definitely recommend you go see this one folks.

This movie was so much better than the first of the series. I was highly disappointed with Twilight.. but New Moon really stepped it up. The acting is still a little sub-par, but much improved. I would defintely recommend this to all the Twilight fans out there!
And of course KUDOS to Jacob on that work of art, he calls his body. wow.

I have been counting down the days for MONTHS and was worried that my expectations would be too great that nothing could live up to them......wow! Was I wrong!!!! Saw the midnight premiere last night and am going to see it again (probably one of MANY repeat visits over the next few weeks!) in a couple hours -- once was NOT enough! If only they had it showing again at 3 a.m. last night, it would've been an "all nighter" for sure....:)

This movie was well done. I am sooo happy that it was much closer to the book than Twilight. If I'm not mistaken, the director was different, and this obviously made a difference. I am now a "Team Jacob" fan. And...Kristen Stewart was marvelous. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Can't wait to see "Eclipse" in June. Stephanie Meyers, YOU ARE A GENIUS.

Fans of the Twilight movie and the book series will not be disappointed. Outside viewers may not appreciate the drama the story includes - but the movie brings a lot of the heartache and pain from the book onto the big screen. For those who have not read the book and are not huge fans of the first installment of the series...the sequences may seem melodramatic. Not so, however, for the millions of fans of the series.

Although I was one of maybe 10 males in the whole theater, I bought tickets for the premiere of New Moon for my girlfriends birthday. After waiting 1hr and 30 minutes sitting in the theater abhorrently listening to hundreds of swooning girls/women, finally the movie started. I'd have to say at first I didn't expect it to catch my eye, but by the end of the movie (although it was 2:30am) I was sharing the same excitement that many of the ladies had. I wanted to see more. This was an excellent movie.

The movie is for Twilight fans, OK. We paid for it with tickets for the 1st movie.A lot of the book is in the 2hr 10 minutes. Some of the scenes are shortchanged because of that. IE: The hunt scene should have been dropped and the reunion scene highlighted. It's the crux of the whole book, that Edward and Bella must be together, can't live without each other. The graphics for the wolves and fight scene were excellent. I like the way Bella turns to Edward when they vote on her becoming a vampire and tells him to shut up. Clearly, she can't live without him, but she's starting to own that. The actors did a great job. Kristen was more believable, more animated in this one. Love the Oct,Nov,Dec,Jan scene.

New Moon was AMAZING. They took the ending of the book and made an AWESOME ending to the movie. They also took the three months, October through December and really adapted that in a cool way to the movie. I was a big fan of them showing Edward in Rio when he called the house. Nice addition. Actually, all the differences from the book actually worked really well into the movie and were not cheesy. I also like Alice's vision when they were with the Volturi. It made me excited for Breaking Dawn. I hope they annouce plans for that movie soon! Again, I just LOVED the ending. I can't wait to see this movie again! Great job, Chris Weitz!

OMG is all I can say....Chris stayed so true to the movie it was AWESOME!!!! Thanks Chris for that. Loved all the CGI, I will see this a few more times before it goes out of the theaters. 7 months and 9 days until Eclipse comes out..so excited for that now that Chris has set it up perfectly..Loved every minute of this movie.

It was really on point with the book, the main things were there..amazing! MUST SEE! loved it completly. It is worth your money, the actors played their parts great! Jacob keeps his short off for 70-80% of the movie and looks incredible. Taylor def did a great job playing Jacob Black.

Awesome! So much better than Twilight, and the makeup was better no more powdered look. Even the color in the movie was so much better. No green cast on everything. Can't wait to take my grandchildren so I can see it again.

I was very impressed with the way the movie was done. Being that I read the books, I was curious how close they would get to the books. It was pretty much spot on. Mind you it was squeezed together to fit with in 2hrs. but it was soooo good. I will defintely be going see it again with others friends and family that were not able to go to midnight showing. EXCELLENT MOVIE! RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO SEE IT!!!

I read the book, and for me, New Moon in theatres was 95% how i pictured it when i read it. I kept whispering to my bf next to me, who didn't read the book, saying," OMG this is insane! I can't believe this" But there were 4 things that seemed different to me. Bella's hair color switched from a darker shade to a lighter shade throughout the movie. Jessica was way more mean in the book. I pictured the werewolves to resemble more of the beast from disney's beauty and the beast like for them to stand like humans. In the book, Bella and Jacob seemed more like a couple, like they were more in love.. So i wonder if Jacob fans didnt like the movie as much as edward fans, like myself and my best friend who loved it as well.

New Moon turned out MUCH better than Twilight. The movie was closer to the book, although in a couple places things could have been better. For instance: where did Ben Cheney go for these movies? I don't understand why they wouldn't cast someone to play him and instead chose to show Angela Weber dating Eric Yorkie still instead. But other than some problems like that, the movie was great! I felt more connected with the characters because more time was spent showing their personalities.

My daughter and her friends are into Twilight, as a result I have read the books and watched the movies. Frankly I found the first Twilight movie slow and not that great. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed watching New Moon. It was full of action, there were no SLOW parts and watching it at midnight was actually worth it. I would definite recommend this movie to others.

Excellent movie. Everyone gets a alittle too caught up in comparing to the books. Movies never equal the book. You either love the movie more or find it disappointing when doing a comparison to the book counterpart. But this was a truly enjoyable movie and I loved it. Went with my husband and 18 year old daughter. All ages attended and the entire theater seemed to really enjoy it. The only fault I had personally was with the main female character, her acts of pain and emotion were almost annoying and unrealistic (or just really bad acting) but as I have not read the book would guess there is more to her than revealed as of yet. But the movie on a whole was very entertaining and enjoyable it was a good movie, we were at the 12:01 am showing.

At the risk of inflaming "Twi-hards" everywhere I have to say that my expectations were surpassed as I find this movie to be possibly better than the book and definitely superior to the first movie. The acting was more dramatic, if at times over-the-top, and this portion of the Twilight saga is much more action-packed. The tension/chemistry between "Bella and Jacob" and the conflict with "Edward" make for an edge-of-your seat experience. You might switch back and forth between Team Jacob to Team Edward. Be warned that the screenplay is significantly different at times from the book but I believe the changes were, in most cases, for the better. Worth 2 viewings.
