This movie was great! As a 36 year old Mom and huge fan, I was excited to be able to share this great experience with my teenage daughter and also be able to enjoy the movie myself. Was a little disappointed about some of the missing parts from the book, but understand that there has to be a time limit. Overall, a great movie. We would definitely go see it again.. and again!!!

Overall, the film was entertaining. I miss Catherine's edginess and handling of Meyer's clunky material.
Don't doubt that you will laugh and have a good time, but it won't make sense to those who haven't bought into the series and seen the first movie... may seem akward to those who have. It is beautfifully filmed, but not enough was done to make it effective as a stand alone film or to make it flow evenly. It could be the editing or what they choose to exclude or not plot wise, sacrafices have to be made, but perhaps not enough were made to ensure a good movie.

Although I love the first Twilight movie, I found myself disappointed a little after reading the books. I was much more pleased with New Moon concerning this aspect. Although some scenes were changed, all of the more important aspects of the book were preserved! The only downside? Jasper looks pretty goofy... what were they thinking with that hair!?!

This movie was much better than Twilight! It still had some flaws and some cheesy parts but leaps and bounds better than the first. I can only hope the others just get better. It follows the book very closely.

This was truly a great movie! It made me want to go buy the book in order to not have to wait what happens next! The ending was definitely a dangler for the next movie! It is going to be great! I can't wait!

I think that this movie was absolutely a disappointment to all true twilight fans. It was very evident that this movie was thrown together in a year. The story line from the book has the potential to be an absolutely extraordinary movie; however, this movie was the biggest shortcoming of that potential that could be imagined. I think that most fans crazed obsession with the book severely biased and overshadowed any true opinion of the movie itself.

After reading the books and loving them, I just had to see the first film. While the acting was so so the technical aspect of the movie STUNK and therefore the overall movie was not so great. Again, love the story and was disappointed the first film didn't mirror the book enough. HOWEVER, New Moon was the complete opposite of that. With two new directors, this film was absolutely EXCELLENT! It paralleled the book very well and compliments of more funding, was technically much much better. LOVED IT!

This movie has left me wanting more!! It's an awesome movie, probably more for girls than boys. It's definitely taken me from Team Edward to Team Switzerland. & I haven't read the books yet, but after this movie, I'm planning on starting them in a couple weeks!! I highly recommend this movie!!!

I, along with many others were very disappointed by the first movie in the saga, Twilight. New Moon, however, does not disappoint. The movie remains as true to the book as you would imagine possible with such a large tome. Granted, there is still the occasional insincere acting moment (what's with the crazy vision Alice gives the Volturi?), but very few and far between, especially considering how it was in Twilight (the movie). The cast and crew have grown up a lot, and it's reflected in the great story and decent acting. I would definitely recommend! :)

Everyone is right, no one is going to deservingly win an acting award BUT the actor's imprefections make the characters believable. Dakota's powerful screen presence (really great) is proof that big name actors would detour from the main reason you bought the movie ticket- the storyline.

One of the best films lately that remains consistent to the book, new moon was 5 times an improvement upon Twilight. Yes with some parts adjusted for film but all in all the concept of the plot was accurately portrayed

new moon was a MUCH better adaptation of the book than twilight. the direction was a lot better. the effects were better too. i thought kristin did a better job acting and rob did a worse job. overall, much enjoyed and i will watch many more times.

If you are a fan of the series, of course you have to see the movie and I tried not to get my hopes up too high for New Moon, since Twilight was SO disappointing. The new director definitely did a better job but I think they need a new screen writer as they could easily do a better job with these movies when they are working with such great books. The movie sure did have alot of comedy...
They did stick to the book better and they crammed alot in to it. I am still not sure that someone who hasn't read the books would follow it very well though.
Kristen's acting was a bit better but she still needs to take some lessons. I am Team Edward all the way but Jacob is definitely the eye-candy in this one. Rob should really beef it up a bit!

Loved it! Great movie...leaps and bounds better than the first installment!!! As true to the book as any movie can be! I was worried I would be distracted by prepubescent teenage girls swooning over the hot young male forms on the screen, but found that I was the one that was swooning...did I hear someone say cougar? Lol!!! Loved it!!! Would see it again on the big screen!

OMG, this one was soo much better than the first. Nothing against Catherine Hardwick but Chris Weitz did such an incredible job filling in some of the gaps left by Twilight. He brought in a lot of different colors and brought out some of the personality of some of the characters...

New Moon was very entertaining, & much better than Twilight. Twilight was rushed and disjointed, with no real development of the relationship between Bella and Edward. New Moon was better -- better makeup, better film quality; & a much better adaptation to the New Moon book. The acting on the part of Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson could be better -- though, Kristen Stewart did much better in New Moon than Twilight. There was more humor in this movie, though people laughed at parts I don't think the producers/directors intended to be funny. Overall, though, a good movie. I definitely plan to see it again.

Waaay better done than the first movie. True to the book. The movie actually even more clearly presented the story line at times than the book. Good pacing, special effects, better vampire sparkling, better meadow, prettier Bella, gorgeous Jacob... thankfully no speed racer robotic running up hills, etc. -- much better in that department. Kristen is still a little quirky but she was clearly better directed in this movie. The Volturi were nothing like I expected, but I loved their portrayal - especially Aro. GREAT JOB overall. This is a first class movie and got the money and directing it deserved. I wish they would have figured out the gold mine they had in time for the first movie to have been better made.

This movie was more stylized, more action filled, and was more in line with what I imagined from the book, than the Twilight movie was. One of my only criticisms is that the last third of the movie seemed rushed... but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie! Go and see it...

200% better than the first. This movie is everything fans of the book wanted it to be. It follows the book perfectly, elaborates on all the import parts and develops the characters much better, giving you a more true-to-the-book view of their relationships.
Taylor Lautner deserves a lot of credit. He did some great acting and Jacob's character and feelings for Bella were portrayed perfectly.
My mother-in-law loved it, I loved it, my 19 year old sister loved it and my 11 year old daughter loved it. I can't think of anything I wish they'd done differently.

Excellent from beginning to end! It touched on all of the key points from the book. Bella's and Jacob's relationship felt very genuine. Bella's and Edward's passion and love for each other was much more believable this go round as well. The fight scenes were fantastic, the CGI was awesome. And, though Pattinson claims that it was Taylor's turn to carry the movie, I really feel that it was Kristen's job this time and I think she pulled it off. I really liked the way the hallucinations turned out. All of the actors, Taylor especially, seemed to be really comfortable in their characters' skin which made it easy to be taken into the movie and feel a part of it. Two Thumbs way up!!!!!

I loved it, I haven't read the books...yet, lol so I didn't really have anything to compare the movie to but it was great. I think the whole cast did a wonderful job and I can't wait to get my hands on the books. I have officially converted from Team Edward to Team Jacob and can't wait for the next movie, DEFINITELY a must see!

I was so excited to see this at midnight! And I was not disappointed. I was so happy that this movie followed the book almost to a T. Unlike Twilight ( I still love it though) was not what I was expecting from reading the books. The only thing I have to say that was a bit disappointing about New Moon was the ending. I'm in the middle of rereading New Moon for the 3rd time and I'm pretty sure the proposal comes in book 3, Eclipse. And it was more intense then standing in the woods. But overall it was a great interpretation of the book! Kristin, Rob, and Jacob along with the rest of cast did a great job! You guys are the best keep up the good work! =)

The first 85% of the movie is done amazingly well. they stuck to the book like glue and did a wonderful job of it. they did every scene that i remeber from the book untill Itally. I think in an atempt to give that part of the film a since of urgency they skiped some of the caracter development with alice, it. there is no transtion between italy, and back in forks in bellas house and then the meeting with the cullans. they spent too much time on the transtions early in the movie and then skiped them in the end. Big Mistake.
All that being said this movie was much better than the first. and the divice of bella writing to alice in the early part of othe movie was a holly wood add that worked out really well!
