I expected the movie to be good. I expected it to be better than the first. It was much better than I could have hoped for. All 3 main characters gave excellent performances (surprisingly so).

New Moon was SO much better then Twilight. The director and special effects people really did well this time! There is a lot more action and the actors did a much better job as well. This movie was closer to the book then the first one too! I LOVED IT!! If you did not like the first one, do not give up! Give this movie a chance! Even my husband would like this one! It doesn't have the gushy stuff like the first one either! EXCELLENT!

Loved this movie! It definitely met my expectations. The wolves were impressive, they actually look like worthy adversaries to the vampires! More Volturi would have been good especially for those who haven't read the books. The ending was abrupt, but effective. Overall I was thrilled and cannot wait until Eclipse!

New Moon was Awesome! I felt like they really preserved more of the book in it than Twilight did. I think Kristen, Robert, and Taylor really brought it in this movie. Taylor was amazing! In the first movie if you hadn't read the books you wouldn't have understood how they fell in love so fast. You'll laugh and maybe cry a little. The Cullens and the entire cast really looked a lot more believable- their make up was done so much better this time. I think they did a great job with the wolf pack. Kellen Lutz looked a lot bigger this time around which is awesome since he is suppose to be this huge guy that I don't think you really saw in Twilight! Nikki Reed looked absolutely Gorgeous as Rosalie. I am so STOKED to see Eclipse.

Some think the Twilight rage is just the "young" crowd but I am in my 50's and I read all the books when they first came out --- I was hooked. I really believed the movies could not stand up to the books but I went to Twilight and was at the Midnight showing of New Moon -- LOVED IT! There were many people there of all ages and all left with anticipation of Eclipse in June!

I'm not even a Jacob fan, but he stole the show on this one! Love his character more now and Taylor Lautner was great. Rob Pattinson never fails in my opinion, and I loved Ashley Greene. Even Kristin Stewart is better this go-round. Never wanted the movie to end...but the ending was kinda suprising (if possible) and a killer cliffhanger. How many days left til Eclipse?!?! ha. I do miss the rest of the Cullen family, can't wait for them to be back in the storyline. The Volturi were very entertaining as well.

It stayed very true to the book yet elevated the excitement. This movie lived up to the hype for sure. I have to say that New Moon was my least favorite book in the series but the movie really brought forth the dynamics of the relationships briliantly. I can't wait to see it again and look forward with much anticipation to Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.

First of all let me just say that Kristin Stewart and Rob Pattinson couldn't act there way out of bag when it comes to this movie. Stewart has one expression during the entire film and it's not even a good one. Rob just disgraced Edward's role and was entirely too stiff and too cold. He's supposed to make us swoon, not look like an uptight jerk.
The major highlight of this film was Taylor Lautner. It seems that he really took this role to heart and was the focal point of the entire film. Great job Taylor!

Movie was great, they didn't obsess on Bella's depression which would have slowed the movie down. Was sitting on edge of my chair the whole time. Even if u are not a Twilight fan, u will enjoy it.

I thought that New Moon was a huge improvement from Twilight in special affects. I did not feel the same chemistry between Edward and Bella in this one though. In seeing Twilight just before New Moon last night, I felt the relationship fizzled on screen. But all in all, a great second showing in the saga.

The whole movie was directed HORRIBLY by Weitz. Lautner happens to be the WORST and I mean the WORST actor I have witnessed since the last high school play I witnessed. Everytime he spoke it was awkward,one reason why I believe his shirt was off the ENTIRE movie ;to distract viewers from what he was actually SAYING! No substance in this movie either. Pattinson is the only actor worth watching in this movie and he is only in it for about 30 minutes besides his creepy ghost that appears here and there. 90% of the scenes were 5 minutes of soundtrack and different camera angles, nothing else. Without Pattinson this movie would have received no stars. Please don't see this weak attempt of a feature film.

Twilight was too rushed and missed many important points that made the movie work, and tie into the next book. New Moon was GREAT! It even went back into the first book to give you the needed info to understand and enjoy the movie! AWESOME!!! Absolutely loved it, and loved the new director!!!

This movie was amazing! The special effects were off the hook, acting had emotion and humor and feeling and power, and the whole film flowed beautifully together. If you've read the book, and even if you haven't, I recommend this movie. I will be seeing it in the theater MANY more times.

OMG!!! Much better then Twilight. I thought it followed the book much more then Twilight. The Volturi was amazing. The action was great. KStew was much better in this movie. The love triangle was hot and the action was awesome.

New Moon is a rare example of the 2nd effort being better than the 1st. We follow Bella's mood swings from depressed to hopeful to manic and get to see Jacob shirtless for our trouble. It is a great trip down teen angst/first love lane!

Chris Weitz did a amazing job with this movie and he stayed true to the book. The movie was tweaked a little here and there, but fit the purpose of the movie. Such a different look than Twilight, more colorful.
The wolfpack and Volutri was cool to see come to life....
