I really had a hard time watching the first one, of course watched it two more times & each time it got better.
New Moon loved it the whole way through. For the most part the directors really tried to keep the important elements. Obviously with how long New Moon is not everything was able to make it into the movie, But really they did a pretty amazing job telling the story in the movie.
& I cannot wait to watch it again :D

Great Movie Marathon! They should do this more often. The audience appeared to be on Jacob's side more than Edward's with good reason; it was Jacob's story. You couldn't help but vocally cheer for him as he came into his true character. There were less book details in this movie than twilight but it was for the fans and so the information was not lost in transition from book to movie. I wouldn't recommend this movie for children under 13 however.

I am so happy there was so much edward, and how close to the book they could possibly make it. Jacob was intense, I was Team Edward, but now I cant choose it was so amazing! I will be seeing it again!

Loved the special effects. I was in an advanced screening audience , 9pm, on 11/19/09. It was fun to hear the groupies really being vocal, especially when Jacob took off his shirt for the first time or when Edward came walking on the scene.
I just want it to keep on going...not have to wait for the next 2 movies!

This was FANTASTIC. If it weren't for the scene in the water with floating Edward, the pre-kiss attempt gobbledy goo words in some language even Bella didn't understand spoken by Jacob in the kitchen, and the silly running through the meadow post transformation it would have been perfect. Taylor whats-his-face is great in this. If I hadn't read the books so many times I would definitely thought about switching to the team Jacob side. Mike is hilarioius and plays his part to perfection. All the wolves play their roles marvelously too. A must-see for Twi-hards and not.

The acting is amazing! The pain that Kristen Stewart portrays in the movie is even more heartwrenching then the book was, and Taylor Lautner FULLY proved that he is a serious and amazing actor, and not just a boy with hot abs! Now don't get me wrong, Taylor Lautner is quite possibly the most gorgeous guy I have ever seen, so all of the shirtless scenes were beyond BLISSFUL!!!! The one thing that makes me mad and completely ruines a movie for me, is when they don't stick to the book! Don't change things! I feel that Melissa Rosenberg (the screenwriter) did a pretty good job with sticking to the book. There were a few changes, but nothing major so I didn't mind that much. Go see it!

New Moon was phenomenal! Chris Weitz does an amazing job, from the opening credits to the very last scene; it follows the book very closely, much to my delight! The suspense was intense and the CG effects were spectacular! The chemistry between Edward and Bella was as forceful as ever, and Jacob's transformation is exactly as expected. Although a few scenes are added that were not in the book, they do nothing if not add depth and action to the plot. While I wish there was a way to incorporate more of the minor details, Chris Weitz's New Moon was the most accurately depicted film interpretation I could have hoped for. I give it a 10, and can't wait to watch it again and again!

Saw the midnight show and it was worth all the effort! Taylor really steps up as Jacob! Film quality and directing much better to me than Twilight. All the characters had more of a chance to shine in this one! Great Job! Will see at least once more before it leaves the big screen!

Not only did this installment stay true to the book but the wolf pack was even hotter than I imagined on screen. I went with some friends and saw it at midnight and it was so worth it! I highly recommend seeing it!

Very true to the book!!!
The actors were more believable, the effects were great, the relationships were shown in more detail, and the all-around story was better in the New Moon movie than in the Twilight movie.
I loved the books and this movie actually exceeded my expectations in delivering the story and the feelings that were easily apparent in the book.
LOVED IT!!!
P.S. It doesn't hurt that there's a beautiful piece of eye-candy running around with his shirt off the majority of the time lol

I have been waiting on this moving since they announced they were going to make it after Twilight's success. I was so afraid that it wouldn't meet my expectations. I was wrong. It followed the book so well!!! I was very impressed and I will be going to see it multiple more times with other friends and family. I CANNOT WAIT until it comes out on DVD!!!!

I liked the movie but I am a little disappointed. There was action and a lot of romance but I didnt seem to like it as much as I did Twilight, some parts really bored me. However Jacob definately stole the show with his wonderful abs!

Loved Twilight but this movie will knock your socks off. The book has alot more info but they did a good job incorporating alot of the minor details into such a small span of time. Ladies, take your tissues is you cry at movies (ok, guys too if you cry at movies). Just an incredible movie and through the books I've always been and Edward fan, but Jacob is very endearing through the movie. He did a great job. I thought the acting overall was better. I have NO regrets staying up until 2:30 am to watch it at the midnight movie.

I waited since 1pm and was disappointed with the movie. Y: they had the Cullens looking like Heath/Jokers; the music was off; not enough base and piano; not enough warewolves; ending was bad; not enough Cullens; too much Bella; different film so looked glossed over; I knew not enough Edward - but people you changed the things we loved: the hair, the simpleness - 1900ness, the car; Will not wait in line for next one or even go the first weekend.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I have to say that this time they hype was justified. The movie was well put together the acting was great the effects were beautiful. There was such an excitement in everyone there even being so late in the evening... In the end it was worth the 3 1/2 hr wait in line not to mention the year wait between movies... What a great year 2010 will be cant wait to see what they do with Eclipse and Breaking Dawn!!!

I was not impressed with the first movie, but I thought New Moon was much better. The special effects were better, and the vampires looked better without so much of the white make up. The wolves were just like how I pictured them, and the story line closely followed the book. They didn't leave out much. Overall, I thought it was really good.

I thought the acting improved for some. However I felt the movie was thrown together. The scenes w/ the werewolves were exactly what you saw in the previews, I thought they would have had more. Rosalie, Alice, & Esme had COMPLETELY different hair. I think the ending was perfect the proposal & all that but the movie itself wasn't that great. Just bits & pieces thrown together not so well.

Two words: TAYLOR LAUTNER. He is SO good-looking and totally worth seeing the movie for even if you hate Twilight. Though I will say that this movie was infinitely better than the first one.
