Wow. I've been a Twilight fan for a long time now and I loved Twilight(the movie) but New Moon was AMAZING!!!! 10 times better than Twilight! The CGI was done really well, ending was really good, and overall stuck to the storyline of the book with a few changes here and there. But like I said....amazing movie!! I would recommend this movie to EVERYONE!!!!

Ok, so I took my 16 year old daughter at midnight for the premier. She loved it. Has read the books and thought they did well. I, on the other hand, think it lacked intensity. A few times during the movie, I caught myself directing Bella..."more, give me more". Her character does lack emotion for sure, but a couple times during the movie you just wanted her to scream and sob! But nothing. The most entertaining part was the opening credits and the topless shots of Jacob where all the girls in the theater went nuts! Too cute! Entertaining for teens, but would never make it a part of a girls night out.

No, I do not recommend this movie.

Highly recommend this movie. Not just for teen girls. Excellent acting/directing. The whole cast was just beautiful. CGI & colors were amazing, story true to book. Music/soundtrack fit in well w/movie. Funnier than you would think for such a sad story/book. 100% better than Twilight. Thank you Chris Weitz. Will see a 2nd....3rd time. Can't wait for the DVD w/extras! Fantastic movie. Go see New Moon - well worth it!

Thought It Would Be Better Quality

Please note that I have never taken the time to review a film and do not consider myself a critic. However, I do expect quality in film. I tend to like independent film (which are often low budget) rather than big budget. But low budget with quality. New Moon felt like a low budget film without quality. It could have been so much more. There wasn't enough attention to detail.

I expected Summit to produce a better quality film this time around since the franchise has obviously earned that commitment due to it's performance at the box office.

Overall, disappointing.

this movie was absolutely amazing, everything from direct quotations from the book to the amazing new graphics summit used for this film. it looked like they tried their hardest to stick to the plot of the book and i think they did a decent job of doing so. the movie is lengthy but it literally flies by, and yes, it ends abruptly! you would NEVER guess the ending, that part was NOT like the book! but this was by far the most amazing movie so far in 2009, i had my tickets since october 8th & i'm going atleast 10 more times!

I absolutely loved this movie!! The story was amazingly developed, the characters' interaction was great, and everything from the set design to the costumes was elaborately done. I love how they continued the development of the characters' relationships from the first movie, and built more on Edward and Bella's romance. It was so great to finally see more love between the two characters; any die-hard fan would've noticed they didn't even say "i love you" in the first movie. Needless to say, we had a lot of "OMG" moments when we watched it. Much love to Chris Weitz for creating such an amazing movie for us fans.

Better than the first

The makeup is still not the greatest, but the acting has improved by leaps and bounds. The special effects have definitely been upgraded, as well. I'd highly recommend seeing this one if you were on the fence based on the first movie. My son loved the action scenes, and I think the transformations were awesome.

New Moon was extremely better than Twilight, I think it is because the producers understand how big of a deal the Twilight Saga is. This movie really did a good job of showing Bella after being left alone. The intimate and sensual tension between Bella and Jacob was unreal, in my seat I was about to scream. This movie was just unbelievable; I think everyone should see it because they perfect the relationships between the three. I absolutely loved it.

I liked this movie better than the first. I went into the movie hating Jacob Black, but throughout the movie, he grew on me. I am still "Team Edward" but and I am not completely against Jacob anymore.

Even though I read the bokks, and knew what was going to happen, it kept me interested and in suspense until the last second.

GREAT ENDING!

I can't wait until the next.

I thought the movie was excellent!!! It was def better than the first one......Bella and Edward's acting were much better this time around. I LOVED Jacob as he matured....with his shirt off. ;) Seriously, I was on the edge of my seat at times with the wolf interraction.....the graphics were much better than I expected from seeing the commercials. :))

I thought that this movie was far better than the first one. I am a huge Jacob fan and it was great that he had more of a lead role in this movie than the last. It followed the book pretty well and I really enjoyed it. Cant wait for the next movie. There should be no reason for Taylor to look that good at the age of 17... but i love him mucho.. TEAM JACOB all the way baby!!!

i was not 2 keen about watchin twilight,cause it was a book my daughter read, but she made me watch it and it was good. now she has me reading all books, so we had to go see new moon and it was better(my opinion).i am team edward but after seeing jacob,man!.can't wait see what they bring out in eclipes and breaking dawn

I think it was a really good movie. That being said, I feel that this wasn't supposed to just be a movie. I expected it to stay true to the story. I understand that it is impossible to cover everything in the book on the movie but, not only did they miss very important key moments, they added more to the story.

I was pleasantly surprised by New Moon. I was so happy the movie stuck so closely to the book. I was not happy initially with the recasting of Taylor Lautner but I think he did a great job in his portrayal of Jacob. The movie was well worth the wait.

This movie had just about everything a Twilight fan (or closet twilight fan) could ask for. I feel that all the major threads of the book were captured in a way that it didn’t seem too rushed but still exciting. Don’t expect this movie to be intellectually stimulating but do expected to enjoy sexy men, steamy (complicated) scenes, and great movie effects. I would recommend it to anyone who can laugh at the extreme dramatic and cheesy lines and yet appreciate the basic theme of deep affection and heartache that most can relate to. Enjoy!

The New Twilight Movie

Excellent!! Everyone looked fantastic with the acting skills to match. I can't wait for the next movie to come out because I am not a fan of stay-tuned endings. I like it when movies have some finality to them. I understand they did this to ensure the viewers will come back for the next film, but come on, Twilight fans will be back no matter what. There were over 2,000 people at the premiere I went to and it did not disappoint although the behavior of the masses at the theater did. It was total chaos. I'd go through it again to the see this terrific movie. Way to go Jacob on your transformation.

I was disappointed with the first movie installment, I felt that the this was the best representation of the characters and overall feel of the book. I was impressed with the fact that they were able to keep quite a bit of the story in the movie and the use of dialogue from the novel also a plus. I felt that the characters were much more developed in this film as well. Kudos to the director. The special effects in this movie far surpassed the previous one. The way that they made the vampires run was less campy, giving them a more superhuman feel as described in the books. My ONLY gripe was the flashes of Edward when she "sees" visions of him. I thought the way it was executed was very cheesy. I couldn't take it seriously.

This movie from a movie making stand point was much better than Twilight, but Twilight was great to me too!! New Moon was awesome I did not want it to end. The ending however was a great way to make us anxious for June of 2010!!! Side note...Jacob was much HOTTER!!

first and formost a BIG thank you to Chris Weitz for making this movie THAT much better than Twilight. you can tell alot of thought and ideas were put into this creation and it all adapted so well on the big screen. another thank you to Kristen Stewart for growing, her acting was much better in New Moon than Twilight, and it made a big difference, even Rob was much better, less awkward moments which makes the movie watchable and less cringe-worthy. the wolves scenes were SICK. PERFECT! Also the vampire special effects were 50x better, and with that said i CANNOT wait till ECLIPSE.

I knew this movie was going to be great, cause the book was great. I personally think this is the best book in the series. I love the two additional scenes of Edward breaking the cell phone and the Volturi fight scene. Wow the Volturi. What can I say about them? I wish they had more screentime despite that they werent much in the book as well. Very impressed by "Aro", "Jane", "Felix" (goodness!), "Demetri" & "Alec". "Marcus" and "Ciaus" just had like a line or 2 each, in their seats so cant say much about them. But wow to Michael Sheen aka Aro ^_^

I LOVED the wolves!!! I cant say that enough. And the killing of Laurent was a great visual. Goodness, I dont know what else to say except that I want to see it again! lol
