I was expecting so much more. It was S-L-O-W and incredibly boring. How could this be a sequel to Twilight? There will be no further sequels in my future viewing.
Wait for the video and get it at a redbox. I don't know if it's even worth a $1 to see.

I really enjoyed this whole movie. It told the story without leaving too much out. Of course I would have liked to have seen so much more but that would have made the movie 3 or 4 hours long.
I liked the Italy scenes and the scene between Edward, Bella and Jacob (as the wolf) when Bella has to step between them to tell them to STOP.
I will add this movie to my collection as soon as it is available.

This movie sticks closer to the storyline in the books than Twilight did. It was overall a better adaptation and the effects were good. The ending is weird, unless you've read the books, then it made perfect sense.

An hour in, where is the werewolf? The movie took way too long to establish the teenage angst over Edward leaving. Just not interesting. The second half was better but still not very good. The girls have to love Jacob, Sam and his crew running around with no shirts all the time, but it did nothing for adults. Just a pretty boring movie.

For two peopele who 'supposedly' have a hot/heavy relationship offscreen - their chemistry is non-existent - just like in the 1st installment. Very disappointed. Kristen Stewart continually sounds like she is on the verge of a heart attack with her breathlessness in EVERY seen and looks pained when she kisses Rob Pattinson. His acting is also wooden and filled with too much angst. On the good side, the Volturri were good, added some juiceiness, and the wolves were awesome - in form or 1/2 naked :) They need a new screenwriter and yet another director.

Boooooooooring. I thought that maybe the vampire,wolf aspect would make me over look obvious imperfections. Wrong no help there. Vampires are stripped of their power and mystery, and werewolves are reduced to big digital dogs. The scenes that re-introduce each character are laughable at best. The dialogue makes you cringe, and sometimes laugh. Sleep was hard to fend off as the scenes are long drawn out and broodish. Buffy vs.The Hills with a dash of of watered down True Blood.

They did a great job of following the book and this movie defined more of the personalities of each character. I'll go back and watch again before the DVD is available. Dakota Fanning was a great pick for Jane. This should be her segway into the more mature adults rolls.

It was very good and makes Eclipse even more anticipated. I would say it isn't a stand a lone movie but the saga is making to be quite Epic. There could be more action in it but overall well done the acting was very good as well I wouldn't take children to see this there is some scary scenes but good for Men and Women alike

I have read all four books four times and this movie did not disappoint me at all. I loved it this was the second time I've seen new moon and I wouldn't mind seeing it again. This movie was very heart felt. You could really feel sorry for Jacob but on the other hand I absolutely love Edward and Bella. I can't wait for the next installment Eclipse.

I really enjoyed this movie. I am a 40-year old married mother of two and I went with my sister, my 11 year old daughter, and my 12 year old niece. This movie is what I call a modern classic with antagonists, protagonist, climax, imagery and symbolism. Cinematography was beautiful. Not only was it entertaining but it reminded me of the amazing stories from classic literature! All 4 of us loved it == great for all ages! I highly recommend it.

Loved this movie! I was listening to it on CD for the 2nd time when I saw this movie & the movie was so true to the book. Much of the dialoge was exact! Jacob's acting was great too. The Volturi scenes were good & the extra fight scenes were an awesome addition. There was more humor in this movie too. If you loved Twilight you'll love New Moon

New Moon was a major improvement over Twilight. Without exception, each of the actors' performances was significantly better. The emotions were obvious, the direction, I thought, was superb. I was particularly impressed with Taylor Lautner.
I am upset over the critics reviews. I think they need to review movies based on audience expectations and not there own.

It was a beautifully shot movie and I thought the casting was excellent. The acting was also at a pretty high standard (except for the character of Alice), but the pacing was slow and tedious. I also thought the werewolves were pretty cheesy looking. They definitely could have been more realistic. The director remained very faithful to the book, but I don't think this served the movie very well. Overall, I was disappointed and a little bored.

Awful. I love the book but its essence was not captured here. The score sucked. Many parts should've been more indepth & other parts seemed like they dragged on needlessly. I did not feel the emotions I should have felt. I did not get the same emotional feeling that Bella was close to Jacob/falling in love with him/needed him to heal her wounds as I did with the book. I did not feel the same emotions I felt when Edward was back from Italy from either him or Bella as I did in the book & Edward looked mad when he proposed. Even though I thought this one was truer to the book than the Twilight movie was, I got more of an emotional response out of the first one. The good side was I thought the CGI was good & I enjoyed the hot shirtless guys.

This movie was all it was billed to be and more. It was one of the most enjoyable movies of the year. I must say I am a Jacob supporter because the actor Taylor Lautner put the movie over the top. It was finally great to see a movie studio push all the right buttons and produce a movie worth the $15 that I spent to see it. This is a must see, I am sure you will not be disappointed.

This was not by favorite book in the Twilight series and I was not overly impressed with the first movie, so I went in with fairly low expectations. However....I LOVED New Moon! I went with a group of girls (one who was previously a Twilight virgin- had not seen the first movie nor read the books) and everyone of us would/will see it again...soon! The werewolves were especially amazing...adorable, yet still ferocious!

Saw this movie in "DG". The visual effects were AMAZING, especially the "wolves'! They did a terrific job of following the story line of the book which made this even better for those of us who devoured the story in print !!

The first one was worse, but this was still awful. Bad acting all around, could the 2 leads have any less chemistry? The special effects were terrible. I liked the books, alot. Unfortunately the screen adaptations fall very very short.
