First of all, it was WAY better than Twilight. In New Moon, there is more of a story line and more action was taking place. There was more Jacob and less Edward. Jacob was HOT and Edward just looked drunk throughout the whole thing. Also, his voice is too soft. However, all the fight scenes were very cool. The transformation with werewolves was the coolest thing. Once again, there are VERY funny parts with Charlie, like in Twilight. But, Quil and Embry were the funniest. Hope you see it!

Loved the books, loved the movie. Excellent work by Chris Weitz, tonally and visually - great soundtrack and score. Taylor Lautner shows great promise as a future drama/action actor. Handles himself well in both the emotional as well as physical scenes. Kristin Stewart does subtle work as the heartbroken Bella. Robert Pattinson, tho limited in time, unlimited in appeal. Again, if you loved the books, you'll love this movie. Note to hair/makeup tho: JASPER - WTF?? His hair is silliness... Please, please may Eclipse be served better in this area. Peace.

This was a great movie. I would definately recommend to a girlfriend. I went with my husband and he wanted to talk through the whole movie! Drove me nuts. Next time will take a girlfriend with me.

If you are like me and you've seen Twilight a few times and re-read the series twice, you've been "thirsting" for something more. This movie satisfies that need for more. The effects were okay, I was a bit disappointed with some of the scenes with the wolves and there is one goofy premonition of Alice's that could have been better, but they stuck close to the book and you got a true sense of the conflict that Bella is feeling between Jacob and Edward. Good Eye Candy as well.

the movie was great i would and have watched it more than once i love everything about it the only thing i would say was not my favorite is that things were rushed at the beggining to get to the parts about bella and jacob also it did not rain when bella chased after edward and it bothered me but other than that it was great!

I really liked it. It covered the book story line well. In as much as it had to be condensed from the book, I thought they grasped the relationship Bella develops with Jacob and you feel the conflicted emotions. Best of all, the sound/music with the wolf morph scenes. I had goosebumps. Great action scenes. The Volturi were totally creepy. Good movie. I will buy it when it comes out on DVD and may even see it again at the theatre with my husband.

If you hadn't read the Twilight series you could still enjoy the first movie. It wasn't a five start movie but it had its moments. New Moon was a huge disappointment. The trailers looked good and the idea of vampires and werewolves fighting has been a winner. Unfortunately all the best action takes place in the movie trailers. The only people I have talked to who like it are the ones who read the series.

This was the fifth time I've seen New Moon and I still love it. There are some slight differences from the book, but none of them detracted from the experience. I can't wait for Eclipse!

Did not think that I would get into the Twilight Saga because the first time I watched Twilight I couln't get into it. But I tried again that afternoon before I went to see New Moon. Now I am glad I did because now I want to read the books and to see the newest movie Eclipse which is scheduled to come out June 30, 2010.

I was disappointed that Bella and Jacob did not really kiss in this movie. In the book they did. Other than that it was a good movie. I loved the chemistry between Jacob and Bella so much I was borderline Team Jacob after watching this movie. Edward was kind of dry. Even after Bella saved him from revealing himself to the crowd of people in Italy, the romance I was expecting was not there. But like I said I was happy with the Jacob and Bella almost romance they had there. Overall a good book to movie. Followed the book more smoothly than Twilight did. I still love the movies regardless out of respect for the novels. It brings the books to life. Can't wait for Eclipse! Only a few months...lol

beautifully, the acting was better, my only serious complaints were Jaspers wig and the way they dressed Alice. Both were inexcusable.

The actors appearances were better in New Moon compared to Twilight. The script did follow the book throughout the movie. The chemistry between Robert and Kristen was not there. I was looking forward to their on screen chemistry. Overall, the movie was well done.

New moon is just another casualty in Hollywoods attempt to produce something woth watching, all the while maximizing their profits. This movie was horrible!! Did I enjoy seeing Bella, Jacob and Edward on the screen...yes! Did I enjoy the shoty editing, no! Did I enjoy the shameless plugging of new music in every scene? NO! Chris Weitz ruined this movie. The important elements from the book were missing. This movie felt more like Cliff Notes than a story. Everything was glazed over and nothing was explained. You didn't feel the chemistry between Jacob and Bella because their bonding was rushed into 3 mins of screen time. What occurred before that? 3 mins of Bella's depression does not a movie make.

I enjoyed this movie as much as the first and it
stayed true to the book. The conflict within Bella, Edward and Jacob is not and easy one and I could feel it in my heart for these three characters. The special effects exceeded the first. The only thing I thought was bad in the movie was the wigs. Rosselle's hair looked like a rats nest. And the ending was mind blowing. I can't wait to see Eclipse.

For true Twilight Saga fans, this movie had to be a disappointment. Edward & Bella spent way too much time kissing. The kisses they exchanged in the school scene make her birthday request of a kiss seem silly, while in the book... the request is special since Edward has to show restraint from losing control & hurting or killing Bella. The werewolf scenes were well played, as well as the short scenes showing Victoria.
The problem with New Moon is the same problem with Twilight... they need a narrative to explain what is going on in Bella's head instead of the actress trying to show the anguish which comes across as repulsion instead of love.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I happen to love the movie. The actors are less strained than the first one. Those that didn't read the books don't seem to understand that the reason Pattinson/Edward looks pained when he kisses Bella is because it still pains him to be so near the smell of her blood. And also because he knows that if he gets too carried away he can kill her. So yes, he looks pained because HE IS IN PAIN!! Can't wait for Eclipse!!!

As an almost 40 year old woman I am shamelessly addicted to these books. The first movie was a disappointment. New Moon stays pretty much true to the book.
If you hadn't read the books, I'm not sure you'd follow the story or care about what was happening.
The costuming of the Cullen Vampires was hideous and a distraction.
The soundtrack was progressive and edgy, but the musical score was not complimentary, it was predicable and out of date.
A phenomenal performance by Michael Sheen as Aro, but the rest of the cast could do with some serious acting workshops.
Fans of the book will not be disappointed and will walk away wanting to see it again, or at the least pick up their dog-eared copy of New Moon for another read through.

I completely enjoyed this movie, so much more then the first installment. I did not get bored, look around the theater, which happens often is a film does not hold my attention.
It was a a wonderful way to spend my daughters 13th b-day. I would see this movie over and over again!

Overall I think the movies was good. A great job was done following the book. Acting for the most part was good, a few hoaky spots here and there, but liked it. I will likely see it again before coming out on DVD. Await Eclipse!
