I brought my daughter and her friend to see the movie...
I had not seen the original and was basically there for the ride ...but to my surprise I was thouroughly caught up in the entire movie...
It was well writen, filmed and the special effevts were great and believable and the ending left us wanting what is next
Also the main characters are not too bad to look at!
I would recommend this movie to anyone young and old alike

I enjoyed this flick the story was pretty good, I just think that some of the lines were quite cheesy in parts. Also I didn't enjoy some of the overly dramatic camera techniques, but hey that is just me.
However, if you are looking for an entertaining move you can not beat Twilight Saga: New Moon.

What a great job by Chris Weitz and the cast.
All those Team Edward groupies like myself will at least consider switching teams. Something I never thought possible but after getting to know Jacob in New Moon I really was getting confused. Which is something I know Stephenie Meyers was trying to accomplish in her series.
I will be seeing this movie again and again. And now I can't wait for Eclipse.

If you originally read the books as I did you will be amazed with the incredible likeness to the book! The CGI was amazing and the movie is very smooth and flows well from one scene to the next!
My only complaint is Edward's lack of rage during the vote scene.... but my feelings of that is probably because for me it was the most important scene in the movie so there should have been more emotion!

New Moon was very well done. The entire scene with the Volturi were excellent! Jacob's performance was very well done. Edward played his roles very well, even though he was not in the movie very much. I thought they could have done a better job with the look of the wolves. Overall, the movie was great and they did a good job condensing it down from the book. Can't wait for Eclipse!

The movie was fantastic it exceeded my expectations!
New Moon was so much better than Twilight, they stayed true to the book and Taylor Lautner is GREAT in his role as Jacob. He almost makes me want to change to team Jacob!! I can't wait for the next movie, I hope it is as good as this one.

Overall, I like the movie because I love the twilight series. However, the movie moved to fast and the characters and plot were not fully developed to make you feel attached to the movie. Everything seemed really rushed. Perhaps the movies should be longer to really develop the plot and characters. I would also suggest bring back the producer/directing staff of the first Twilight movie.

The acting wasn't that great. The special effects was better than the 1st movie. The phasing from human to werewolf was awesome. It is definitely from the book. Its just when you read tthe book than watch the movie you know what is gonna and expect to see it in the movie because you can't have all 576pgs into a 2hr and 10min movie. You should just wait until it comes out on dvd and rent it. It'll be cheaper.

Entertaining and tried to be true to the book. However, it lost what Twilight had in the mystical feeling of Twilight's music and cinematography. The new director is probably to blame, because the movie felt like just another movie, not a Twilight sequel.
Still if you like the books and the story, its good.
Small points of the plot are missing which make some scenes seem silly. Example - Jacob taking off his shirt when Bella is hurt on the motorcycle seems silly, whereas in the book he had just developed those muscles "overnight" and Bella was surprised by them. By keeping the main plot points, but changing other small ones for apparently no reason, the director lost the believability and feel of the book.

This movie followed the book pretty close, although some of the minor parts, that still had a great deal with the transitions of point to point (like how Bella got the bikes, when she saw Embrey walking along the woods, and when Edward went to the Volturi the first time to see Aro for example, instead she just showed up with them at Jacobs, and he walked into the room and Aro said that he was rejected. For those who haven't read the book, slim numbers, were probably lost). Everyone was worried how Kristen would do with the emotional aspect of the movie, and personally I think she did very well.
Overall, I believe that this saga is going to have a great follow up like the American Pie series.

This movie was so good!! A lot better graphics than the first one, but I still love the first one :) To all of you who say it's not good and stick to the books...I say bullsh*t!! Of course the books are better because they are more in depth, but the movies do the best they can with the time limit they have. Both the 1st and 2nd are really great I love them! Chris Weitz has my vote for best director. In New Moon, the camera angles and acting made the difference. Taylor is a rising star. I can not wait to see him in more films not only because he is hansome, but also because he is talented. Also the choice to include several lines from the book was an incredible decision by the screenwrite. I only hope the next film continues with the mass improvements.

I love these books a lot but I found at the movie last night that I prefer them to the movies. I think the cast is great but the story line isn't nearly as creative as it was written. You know more of Bella's thoughts in the book and they are important to understand her feelings since her character doesn't openly talk about them. I think you should be able to hear her thoughts through the movie in order to better understand the crazy things she does. But if you've never read the books than I guess the movie is fine as it is. Still love the romance of it but there could be more feeling expresssed in the characters.

the movie was great!
However, Please do not text the whole time and blind people with your phone lights or annoy them with the buzzing of incoming text messages...It is RUDE and distracts people who want to watch the movie!
If you expect to get a seat, get there early. we arrived an 45 minutes early and it was plenty of time and got great seats. If not, do not make a scene when you can't find a seat for your group.
Cheering and teen girls giggling was expected...the cell phone distractions made it less enjoyable.

With all of the information in the book, the movie was executed very well. Overall the story moved along.
The only negative comment is with all of the money that was spent on the special effects - I felt like they could have done just a little bit more. The effects were average (compare to other movies that are out now).

Excellent movie. If you enjoyed Twilight, you'll love New Moon. If you want to be able to hear all of the dialogue,
I'd recommend waiting a week or so before seeing it so you don't have to try to hear through all of the tweens screaming when Edward comes on the screen, then again when Jacob shows up, and yet again when Jacob takes his shirt off.
We're going to have to try to go back and watch this again on a school day.
