This was an amazing movie. Much better than Twilight, although the book was still better than the movie. Enough action to keep you interested, but it was still true to the book. Bella is much prettier in this movie. For Team Jacob, theres plenty of him!! For Team Edward, even though he's physically gone he still manages to be there throughout the movie. Wonderful movie!!

Wow out of the series I really didnt like this book so i was so glad to see some of the changes. Other then the spinning in the begining I thought this movie was great. They really did do a great job with the wolfs and the story. It was good to see how they set up eclipse as well. So if you dont go see it on the big screen your gonna be missing out on a great movie.

My daughter wanted to see it with her friends for her 16th birthday the night of the opening. I knew I had to order the tickets way ahead of time for all of us and I am glad I did. I watched the first movie two days before hand and I couldn't wait until the second movie. It was really really good. I didn't want it to end. My eleven year old asked, "Mom, can I see it?" and I told her yes, she was so excited. So we are making a movie night as well. The movie kept you on the edge of your seat and holding your breath several times.

Stayed truer to the book than the first. Taylor Lautner did a great job as Jacob. I just wish they could keep everything from the book.

I was afraid Id be dissapointed like the first one (don't get me wrong, I liked twilight, but it just wasnt as good as the book), but I LOVED it! The actors have grown so much, its believable...took my breath away more than once.Will defenitely see it again, and again! Might I say, all the guys without shirts was an added bonus! You gotta see it at least once (guarantee you'll go back for some more)

Movie is so much better than Twilight. My fiance dragged me to the movie and really enjoyed it, aside from the screaming 30-40 year old female tweens! I have never read the books or intend to do so but this movie was better directed and produced!!!

Although this installment in the Twilight saga was MUCH better(due to different directors, I'm assuming), Kristan's twitchy acting and Robert's CONSTANT grimacing was carried on the muscly shoulders of Tyler Lautner. I don't know if he[Tyler] read the books, but the boy can at least take direction extremely well. He was Jacob through and through. I wish I could say the same for the far-less-suave-than-he's-supposed-to-be Edward. I will recommend this movie to my Twi-hard friends(and even those who aren't), because I did quite enjoy the movie overall(making me overly excited for Eclipse to come out in July).

I love the movie and felt it did the book justice. I have read all the Twilight Saga Series and am a 40-year-old professional woman. The theater was packed and it was a blast to be there with my 13-year-old son and hear the Ooo's and Ahhhs! We laughed and gasp with everyone else.
I would highly recommend this movie to any 12+ young girl to 40 year old woman.

The first movie set up the romance. This one keeps it going with a little bit more fight then the last. That's where I say " That it isn't a just a chick flick, guys will proably like it too." The other good thing is there will be another next year. So enjoy.

I thought it was a good movie, closer to the book than Twilight was, for which I was grateful. But Kristen needs some serious acting lessons. Maybe Keanu Reeves can teach her a few things, because she was worse in this movie than she was in Twilight...and that's saying a lot! Everyone else was really good, the wolves (except the black one) looked pretty good, and the fight scene in Volterra (while an unnecessary addition) was good. I won't be seeing it again, I just can't stomach another bad performance by Kristen, but I'm glad I sat through it. Rob did very well, and so did Taylor, which is commendable considering who they had to work with so closely.

I’m not going to bother talking about the special effects, or filming techniques, as the story was so abysmal that even with everything else being perfect in this film, it would have been an epic failure.
Fans of the series will love this film, (and thusly hate my review) with 6-packs and Cure-like haircuts abounding. Outsiders and general film aficionados beware: The bite of this film’s dreadfulness, is far worse that the bark of its hype.
I wrote a full review on rottontomatoes, as I had far more to say than 750 characters would allow.

New Moon more than exceeded my expectations! I loved it and am ready to see it a 2nd time! I feel it did a really good job of following the book. There were only a few scenes that I felt probably should have been added to the movie that were in the book. I’ve read the whole saga about six times. The 2nd book was my least favorite of the saga because it dragged slowly through some chapters whereas the movie flowed perfectly and kept you entranced throughout. The ending was good and left it open for the introduction into Eclipse. However, I think the ending was better in the book. Overall, I loved the movie and highly recommend seeing it. Now, I am anxiously awaiting the release of Eclipse in summer 2010, my favorite of the saga!

Took my 12 year old daughter to see this movie last night. The theatre was packed, but the employees were good at keeping things moving along well. As for the movie... All I can say is WOW! The heartbreak was played flawlessly by Miss Stewart. The pain Edward felt at leaving her was beautifully portrayed by Mr. Pattinson. Simple but very effective. The special effects for the wolves was superb as well as everything else about the movie i.e. the screenplay was adapted very well, the directing was wonderful and all the performances were definately stepped up from the last movie.
My daughter and I are salivating for the next installment in June.

even if you haven't read the book, new moon is a movie you will LOVE.
the story is cute, and even when they added things that weren't originally in the book, they did it in a way that worked.
funny, sad, and happy moments all in one.

Love the books and thought this movie was much better than the first in being an adaption. It was slow in parts but if you are a "twilighter" you will truly enjoy it. I brought someone unfamiliar with the series and he thought it was self-indulgent. I thought that was a plus not a minus! The audiance was even more entertaining at times!

I read all four books, and absolutely loved the detail they went into. Had there been more detail in the scene if possible, that would have been good. The characters were perfectly cast, especially Dakota Fanning. I wish I could be a vampire now.

This movie was GOOD. I just think that this new director should have tried harder to stick to the book. Too many parts were switched around ruining the whole plot,. For example Bella was supposed to figure Jacob's secret on her own. Many of the most important scenes were also cut out. Don't get me wrong I really loved it and JACOB was HOT!!!!... However the ending is what really got me mad... I get theres supposed to be another part I just wish it would have been executed better. STILL CAN"T WAIT TO SEE ECLIPSE...Please don't cut out TOO much this is my favorite book out of the series.

The action was great, but the romantic scenes were not all that. I still really liked the movie, but I think after I hyped it up in my mind, things just didn't fall as I had hoped.
