Definitely cheesy. Poor acting. It was certainly very similar to the book. Let's face it. Out of the four books, book two is probably the least interesting. I mean...it's mostly about Bella. Who cares about Bella? Most ladies care about either Jacob or Edward. Bella simply gets on my nerves throughout the four books. The only thing that I did enjoy was watching Jacob.

Loved it. Have seen it twice already and plan to go back and see it for a 3rd time. This series keeps getting better and better. I hope that the author continues to write about it. Just don't want it to end. Ending was PERFECT. Can't wait for the release of Eclipse.

Loved the movie! Saw it twice, thought it was better the second time. Loved Taylor Lautner's performance! He suits the character of Jacob perfectly. Kristen Stewart looked so pretty in this this movie. Robert looked amazing. Loved the Volturri fight scene. The only, only thing I thouht was sort of cheesy was the image Aro saw of the future when Bella gets changed and she and Edward are running. Yup ~ other than that . . . very good movie adaptation of the book.

I think this movie deserves a chance. It was a very good movie that held true (for the most part) to the book. Although Jacob deserves some whistles in this one, I am still holding on to Edward. Go Team Edward!

I thought this adaptation was better than the first. Bella's narration via email helped keep the flow. Thought more could have been done with the werewolves and explaining how closely they were tied to each other. The strength of the Alpha and their mental telepathy were just mentioned and easily forgettable if you had not read the books beforehand. Jane and Caius's characters never got established... ok, don't mean to nitpick... it was enjoyable. Can't wait for 'Eclipse'!

Overall it was a good movie (7 out of a possible 10). Although meant to be a romantic movie, it spent way too much time on romance where it could have spent a little more time on special effects. I've read the third book, there should be a little more action in the third movie.

Unless you're a teenage girl that is fantisizing about two boys competing for you, it's hard to get into. Maybe a woman who wants to re-live highschool and pretend they are a teenie bopper again could enjoy. Not a guy movie at all, girls save your S.O. from the agony of watching such a lame flick don't take your hubby or b.f....PLEASE go with the girls.

I own Twilight and loved it! New Moon was right up there with the first one. I love vampire movies, but this wasn't your typical vampire movie. It was a great love story as well. I could feel the intensity between them. They did a great job with both movies and I would definitely recommend it!

New moon was not only everything I expected but it was more than I had expected. However as AWSOME as this movie is I think that the Voltori scene should not have been made into a fight scene! It should have been more closly linked to the book, But all in all this was a fantastic movie I am going to go watch it again this weekend and I will own this movie when it comes out so I can watch it over and over again.

OMG....i LOVED LOVED LOVED this movie! New Moon was amazing! Ive only seen it once (sadly) but i cant wait to see it again. It follows the book very much and doesnt leave out alot of the stuff. Even tho i read the book & knew what would happen, the movie still had me at the edge of my seat. Ahhh, this is a definate must see to EVERYONE! &&Jacob's sexyness is just to die for!! But Edward can never be replaced. Ha.

I really enjoyed New Moon. I haven't read any of the books so I wasn't disappointed like a lot of people I know. The wolf pack was very nice to look at. I think Bella made the wrong choice but that's just my opinion. =)

I think those who already know the story behind the movie will get the most out of seeing New Moon. For those who have not read the book, this film is a crucial turning point in the saga, so don't miss it.~ As for content, aside from one bloodless decapitation, there is no gore. Some scenes are very emotional so it's not a movie for depressed or very tender hearted people. Although it lacks the depth of the book, overall, this really is a good movie and I would see it again.

I really liked the movie alot, however.... why do the filmmakers always mess up the story?
For instance, in the book... for Bella's B-Day gift Jacob gives her a bracelette with a wooden wolf that he carved for her, not a dreamcatcher! They didn't even put in the film, the gift that Edward gives her, the diamond heart that she also places on the bracelette. Things like that, the details are so important and when you mess those up, it takes away from the quality of the film.

Way too many holes in the story. Too much jumping around. First she's underwater with what's her name coming after her, then next she's on the beach.
First she's in italy, then she's back.
The CGI on the werewolves was good.
If Bella is immune to vampire powers, why can what's her name see her in her vision?
Won't be seeing the final one.

Yes folks, we have a new standard for the Golden Turkey! This movie is nothing whatsoever like the original. A classic example of greed driving cinema into the ground. The cast even look upset and embarrased in the film. Like they know it's being done all wrong. The makeup is pathetic, the story is stupid, the acting sucks, the direction is pathetic. It just feels like a mindless endeavor. Hollywood can be proud of setting a new standard for bad to the bone film making.

A much better adaptation that Twilight. Twilight seemed a bit rushed, maybe to cash in on the phenomenon before it passed, but it seems there's a realization that it will hold on better with better movies.
Kristin Stewart actually acted in this one. Taylor Lautner is excellent as Jacob; I wish Edward Pattinson would move his lower jaw when he talks.....it's a little distracting, to me.
