Like everybody in the world, I've heard about twilight etc. Not read the books but thought the trailers for this movie looked interesting.
My apologies to all the rabid (and if you are rabid...stay far away from Jacob) but the girl playing Bella could not act her way out of a paper sack. Expressions CHANGE even in a severely depressed person! Edward wasn't much better.
I vote for Alice and Jacob to get together and have cute little pups.

I thought it was especially boring!!! There was no action in it at all. The only reason that I gave it 3 stars is because my wife loved it, but she is already a big fan of the books, so the movie could really stink and she wouldn't care. Overall a terrible movie!!!!!!

The Sequal Stayed A True To The Book For The Most Part. It was Not as "Cutesy" as The First One Was Which Is A Good Thing. The Director And Actors Made It Seem A Little More Adult And A Little Less Childish Of A Movie. Definately Worth The Watch In Theaters!!!!!

The story line and the action followed more closely to the book than Twilight did. The acting was a bit more realistic and mature than the last rendition. I wish there was more chemistry between Jacob and Bella, as it's described in the book. Overall the movie was entertaining, the ending though, seemed a bit rushed. Can't wait to see what the adaptation of Eclipse will look like.

I took 2 teenage girls to Twilight and sat through the movie waiting for the end. I had no wish to see it again.
New Moon was more enjoyable. Not Academy award material, but worth a second viewing. Looking forward to Eclipse.

I realize that everyone has read the books, etc. So, it allows you to imagine the gaps that are present in this flick. But, if you look at the movie from a purely cinematic point of view, it is a horrible movie. It was an utter waste of time.
The movie develops extremely slow. There is not an ounce of action until over an hour into the movie. Also, the lines and acting are cheesy and painful to watch. If you are a 13 yr old girl, I can see you liking this movie. But, if you are an adult with half of a brain and basic intellectual sense, you will be begging for your money back. I won't even give the third installment a breath of my time.

This was a huge improvement from Twilight. I love the new look of the movie. It felt much more like the book. I think the book lovers out there all appreiciated how much closer the story line was to the book. Whatever changes were made were great decisions. definately much better than twilight in terms of acting ability (yes, there was actually decent acting!!), plotline, etc. Though edward still remains as pasty looking as ever with no upper lip and hair that could hold a ton of bricks and never lose shape. jacob takes off his shirt for no apparent reason but to dab at some blood but i doubt anyone will mind. It definately does not deserve any awards whatsoever but if you the twilight movie (which SUCKED) and liked it then you'll LOVE this. but i advise you start watching actually good movies before your brain rots away.

I really liked this movie but liked the first one better. I have read all the books and it is hard to see the movies because I always feel like they left too much out and the movies seem choppy. That being said, I know that I will buy it when it comes out and ad it to my collection.

I had high hopes going in, but by the end my group agreed "The first one was better". New Moon was by far my least favorite of the 4 books though (I'm not a Jacob fan), so I should have known. However, I did think the wolves were actually well done. Maybe it was just the theater atmosphere, but they actually freaked me out a little!
Of course, this doesn't mean I won't see the movie at least one more time... ;)

Unlike the first movie it lacked great music. We were thrown into Bella's life and what she was experiencing both inside and outside. But we never heard how her heart felt being broken. We were shown but that was not enough.
There was a tension between Bella and Jacob that continued till the end of the film but there was not enough resolution between the two. Jacob seemed obsessed with Bella at one point and props to the author because such a human trait exist in romance and lost love.

Twilight 2 is a terrific movie for movie lovers who enjoy a good sequel. The continuation of the film was fantastic, many times sequels tend to get silly with various repeats from the first film. It's a great first time everlasting love story with fabulous, though it has a predictable and obvious storyline. Film makers managed to keep fans thirsting for more with the jacob/Bella/Edward love triangle. Major note: there was a rumor this movie was packed with gore and blood, this is completely false. There are few pricks, cuts, and scrapes throughout the film however I doubt one whole unit of blood was used. Its worth the trip, enjoy!

So my girl has been obsessed with this series. I actually went to see this movie with a sense of anger at the entire series of Twilight. However, the cinematography , prodction, plot, acting, etc. all lead me to enjoy this movie! The animations were not entirely realistic, but this is a fantasy movie. I thought this was such a great movie!! I saw Twilight and was hooked on this series....I highly recommend for all ages pre- teen to a mom like me!! We even brought Grandma along!!!!
The one thing I thought was lacking in this movie was the soundtrack...twilights was so much better!! I realize everyone doesnt like these movies but I find them so romantic and such a beautiful escape for all ages!!!

Though the acting was spotty in places, this movie was better than Twilight and worth my ticket price. I love Rob Pattinson, but whoever directs him as Edward needs to tell him to SLOW DOWN his line delivery and stop looking like he has knives being shoved in his gut. We can understand the emotion of anguish and inner turmoil without someone looking as though they have a bleeding ulcer. Taylor Lautner was perfect and if I weren't such a hard core Edward fan because of the books, I would consider switching sides just based on his easy going, pitch-perfect delivery.
