This movie was entertaining if not taken too seriously. My teen daughters and I laughed through the whole thing... but most of the time we were the only ones laughing. The writing was terribly cheesey. I will admit the overall look of the movie was better than the first one (how could it not?). The acting is mediocre at best.

I really loved this movie and the will probably go back and see it again. I loved the way they did the wolves. I was wondering how they would show them and I thought the transition was done just right. Jake looked great and I know he did alot of work to keep his part. And I couldn't help staring into Edward's brown eyes.

Loved every minute, from the simultaneous widespread sighs in the crowd from all the girls every time someone took off their shirt, to the incredible storyline and powerful action. Very intoxicating, yet fun and lighthearted at opportune moments. Awesome!

New Moon was so much better than Twilight. There are still little things that were missing; places in the movie where more character development could have been better; relationship building. It almost felt like it was a "hurry up and get back to Edward". Summit should really take more care in what goes out in the previews. All of the climatic parts of the movie, (Jacob phasing for the first time, fight with the Volturi) was shown in previews. All the excitement that we were waiting for was shown to us before we got to the theater. We already knew what was going to happen. The movie felt like filler until we got to those parts we'd already seen.

New Moon blew Twilight out of the water.
Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson were still not terribly good actors, although Kristin was better in this movie than in Twilight.
Taylor Lautner really raised the movie to a whole new level in my eyes. He really got into the character, showing a deep emotional connection to the situation, so much so that I had tears in my eyes when Bella chose Edward over him.
Overall, if you're a fan of the books, you will love this movie, even if you were dissatisfied with Twilight. I was immensely pleased with this movie, and will be going to see it again!

New Moon was a wonderful movie. They have really stayed true to the book. GO CHRIS WEITZ!! I think the new director really made a great deal of difference to the movie. Also, this was so much "funnier" than Twilight. So much humor. The only downside about this movie is that if you are on Team Edward, you see Jacob most of the movie.

Loved the special effects! Edward was just as sexy as he was in Twilight and I was glad to see Jacob had a bigger part...and looked amazing! This movie is worth seeing more than once and was by far better than Twilight. I can not wait for the next one!!!!

The movie followed the book better than the first movie, however there were a few parts of New Moon that did not make sense, but that is Hollywood for you. It was poorly acted yet again, but I didn't expect much after seeing the acting done in the first movie. Casting for Bella could have been done with someone with more depth and range. Kristen's flat affect was yet again seen in this film. With all that aside, because I am a such a big fan of the books, I think I overlook the bad acting just because I love the series so much. The special effects were definitely great in this 2nd film, and helped the overall movie.

If you haven't read the book,. you probably won't like the movie very much. If your someone like me who has read the seires 7 times, your gonna be in love with this movie. They kept this movie as close to the book as they possibly could. It's a wonderful story! I have this movie twice now and plan and seeing it more!

I was hoping that New Moon would follow the book more closely than Twlight did. I could not wait till the release of the movie and the movie did not let me down. New Moon was everything I expected and more. It followed the book closely and this time truly captured the love between Bella and Edward. I plan on seeing this movie again while it is still in theaters. I highly recommend this movie to anyone. The Twlight series is for ALL AGES not just teens!

Director Chris Weitz hit the mark right on the spot! The actors have matured into their roles exceptionally. The critics who have bad mouthed this movie now have a giant shoe in their mouth. Beautiful acting and CGI. New Moon is a box office smash and I plan on seeing it a couple more times before it leaves theaters!! Great job all, and most importantly thank you Stephenie Meyer we absolutely love you!!!

Faithful to the books, this installment will please the fans---smoother than the first, and the bigger budget shows. Cast looks much better and Tayor Lautner as Jacob serves up a great performance.

It's a great movie for the fans of the Twilight Saga. It moves the story along as the second book does. But it wasn't as great as Twilight. I still anticipate Eclipse and Breaking Dawn though. New Moon was slower (as the book was), but it's needed.

Loved it! Way better than Twilight. Stuck to the book a lot more closely. Did not move at breakneck speed like Twilight did. Really was able to get into the emotions of it. There were a few moments that still had uncomfortable dialogue and acting but only a couple. The werewolf special effects were really good.

What a more vibrant and well put together movie. It flowed very well, there was still some of that awkward acting & missing parts - But if you didn't read the books you understood what was going on (unlike Twilight) - over all next to Twilight it is FANTASTIC. The shape shifting and effects were great, as well as the fighting scenes. Catherine Hardwicke eat your heart out!!!
Kudos to Chris Weitz You did fantastic... Lets hope your brother puts Eclipse together just as nicely!

I was a huge fan of the books before i saw the movies! When i saw twilight i was disappointed because it was nothing like the book! However, new moon was exactly like the book! The lighting of the movie was more clear, the acting was less depressing, and though Robert Pattinson was hardly in it... the scenes he was it were magnificent! Taylor lautner portrayed a good jacob. My only issue was thatKristens Stewarts acting was monotone and just plain bad. All in all i was more than please! I will definitely see it again!
