I saw this with my husband. I really enjoyed it, he didn't like it. This is one of those bizarre kinds of movies with enough weirdness to take it out of the category of mainstream run-of-the-mill flicks. The parts I found so hilarious, LOL and not stop laughing for a while hilarious, were a bit on the quirky side. Some really good commentary-type scenes on obscenities and behind-the scenes illegalities that can sometimes take place during wars, and how a few brave soldiers can lose their way. Also, shows some of the disgusting truths about the private war corporations. I would only recommend this to friends I know who like quirky, cult-type movies. I will definitely see this again, because the LOL scenes are SOOO worth it!

My wife and I both thought the movie was funny, bizarre and different. However you would have to have lived through the '60's and all it entailed to fully appreciate it, follow the story and get the "inside" jokes. Those who didn't live throught the 60's probably wouldn't understand it. Not an academy award winner, but cerebral and enjoyable.

This was worth seeing. Clooney, Bridges, and Spacey were predictably excellent; McGregor less so. The subject matter was fun, bizarre, and the writing good. Nobody will win an academy award for this, but it provided 90 minutes of good entertainment on a Sunday afternoon.

Well written, funny intelligent and unique. I loved it and and will buy it to keep. It was refreshing, outrageous, quirky, nutty, clever, and totally entertaining. Acting was superb. So happy to see something that's different and puts one in a good mood.

The funniest thing about this movie is that alot of the things that were show to be tried are so stupid. Why is this funny initself? Because the US Army DID TRY THEM. The Movie itself: Funny... not LOL roll in the isle funny though. Its real humour is if you know the crazy stuff that was actually used in the 80s or if you read the book ...it was inspired by -If you dont have a good attention span you might not be able to easily follow the story. -If you have a decent mind and truely admire good acting you WILL enjoy this movie. Dont look for pratfalls, or 3 stooge anticts K? and then you should enjoy yourself.
