This was a movie I had to see. The previews had me hooked. The movie jumped around a lot sometimes making sense and sometimes not. The movie kept my interest until the end. I laughed so hard at times I just couldn't be quite. The ending was lacking. Everything was going good and then it was just kind of a let down that it was over the way it ended. Would I recommend this movie, Yes I have because the funny parts were really funny and worth the price of the ticket.

I had to apologize to my friends for picking this one. The funny scenes in the trailer are all you will get. The cast is great by name but I ended up feeling sorry for them for being in a movie that assumes just because it is silly it may also be funny. It wasn't.

The trailers were the best part of the entire movie. Maybe it was because I grew up during the 60's but just didn't care for the back and forth......plus, it could have moved at a faster pace. Hate we wasted the 16 bucks!!!

I think another review said, "check logic at the door". Not a bad bit of advice. The movie was well written and well done. The narration itself was worth the price of admission. The one liners and twists kept you on your toes. The viewer was left to make up their own mind as to how much was true and how much was believed to be true by the characters. A break from the mindless stuff out there these days...

This film, while imperfect, is thoughtful and genuinely funny. George Clooney proves, yet again, that he has more range and humility than most actors. Jeff Bridges is funny as well in a role reminiscent of The Dude. To those who thought this movie was terrible, well, I think that proves the point. This is a film for our age about men trying to prevent war, not perpetuate it. Must see!

Check logic at the door when you walk into see this movie. Everything about this movie is outrageous, yet it will hit a chord with those who just want to have a good time. Makes no sense, but yet I laughed out loud as did most of the audience. Clooney and McGregor make a great team in this absurd romp. Rated R for the F-bombs and some drug references, but overall it's a pretty clean R-rated movie. One note: there is a scene of a gunman on a military base - bad timing, so that could be startling to some. I think this is just one of those flicks that either you like or you don't. Just depends on your sense of humor.

Don't watch this mover if you want the secret of the universe; you won't find it. If you want to sit back and laugh at the absurdity of the 70's and the stupid stuff from the movements of the day, it is an entertaining review. Heavy serious plot, no... lighthearted sarcasm, yes. Expectations were so high for this movie, I'm not sure it could've been "great". kinda like elections.
movie seemed haphazardly put together and all together lacking in focus.
There were very very funny moments, all of which were aired in the trailers. Part of the let down was no novel humor.
This was a great story and had a great cast, but the writing seemed like it was outsourced to Bangalore and pieced together like a suspect term paper.

I saw this film with my 18 year old son and a 50 something year old friend; and we all three loved it. The performances were brilliant and Ewan's accent was perfect. I want to be a Jedi....is that weird for a girl??

I found 'Goats' slyly humorous in many spots, but I was put off by the lack of a cohesive story line and plot. Clooney was very good I thought, but Bridges and McGregor seemed to be wasted efforts. All-in-all, I would give it two out of five stars, and recommend you see it via rental only if you are a huge Clooney fan.
