For most, they see the character of Cameron Diaz as a cold and callosed mother, not seeing the heartache, not one, but all three of her very wise children are enduring. I really hated this movie because the ending was wrong and it wasn't nearly as good as the book. If you read the book the movie will really dissapoint you. This movie was very emotional, cried through the whole thing, anyone who didnt doesnt have a heart. Maybe being through this makes it so much harder to watch, and I didnt realize it would end like that, very sad. I lost a 5 year old neice to brain cancer so it was difficult to watch at times, but very well done, very realistic. Pushing aside all the tears, I thought the movie was very good and very well done. would watch again and hope that I dont cry as much the next time, definately bring tissue with you to this movie you will need it. A++++

Well, I definitely thought this movie was half-way decent, but do NOT recommend reading the book before seeing it. I read the book shortly before this movie came out and they TOTALLY warped the ending. In my opinion the end was the best part of the book, and I was very disappointed. They also left a lot out about Jesse's character... I think it was interesting to see how Kate's illness affected him as well as Anna.
Overall, I think this movie can easily be enjoyed when one has not read the book. Or when one has the ability to treat the movie and book as separate entities. A tear jerker, definitely, though I didn't cry at all because I was expecting completely different ending....

I didn't cry at all until the beach scene, then it hit me. I expected to be crying the whole time. Took my 15 yr. old daughter with me and she cried early on. Not a man's flick, glad I didn't try to convince my husband to come along. Haven't read the book yet, so I can't compare it. The flashback scenes were confusing at times. All in all, I thought it was a worthwhile movie, as it raised many real-life, difficult ethical issues, which we had a good discussion about afterwards.

The book is way better. They both have different endings and the ending in the book was wayyy better! I would wait for it to come out on DVD. Still a good movie, but if you read the book, it's way better!

Very well done & believeable family reactions to the situation that affects all of them. It made me wonder if people really do have babies to help their other sick child. The movie flowed quickly, although some flashbacks were hard to follow. I haven't cried this much in a movie since Terms of Endearment! Graphics too realistic for younger audience or anyone with family or friends suffering with cancer.

This movie was told in a way that can be seen from many different points of view. The connection the family had seemed so real and down to earth. ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ is a very good movie. The story has depth and is well told, and the acting by the young people in the movie is outstanding. Cameron Diaz’ performance is less enjoyable, but adequate. I had expected a typical tear jerker, but found this one to be refreshingly different. There are some problems with continuity because so many flashbacks are used, but they don’t detract too much from the overall entertainment value.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

im just 13 n me n a group of my friends went to go see this movie n we thought it was very confusing! it was confusing cuz they would flash back from past to the present day! its kind of wierd! The ending wasnt the best! A tear jerker! Not Cameron Diaz's best flim! there was a part in the flim were she shaves her hair n then the next day it grows back...wat kind of hair grows that fast???? it was an okay movie not the best movie but not the worst either!!!!!(:

I read the book so I agree with most that read the book you won't care for the movie. Others I went with who didn't read the book liked the movie but thought it is very sad. I thought it was kinda of slow in places and very predictable. Very sad movie.

I expected to see a horror movie, but to my suprise I witnessed a wonderfully told story about the family of a young girl with cancer. Excellent acting, direction, and visuals. This is a very MOTIVATING and ENCOURAGING movie that every family member can attend and enjoy.
