There is no question about it, this is a visually stunning movie, and it leaves you with a message about how the sea is being harmed by chemicals and industrial waste. That having been said, I was disappointed by the following:
First, it is only 40 minutes long. Not long enough at these prices.
Second, its got these weird songs placed in the movie. They were jarring...out of place.
Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable 40 minute production. Beautifully produced. My daughter loved it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

WOW! Like being inside your own private aquarium! Even if you made a trip to the Great Barrier Reef, I don't think you could see this kind of exquisite detail! Because the film is in high def - the details are amazing! BEAUTIFUL COLORS! AMAZING SIGHTS! I want to go back and see it again! E N J O Y!!!! :)

You just cannot beat IMAX technology, and Under the Sea 3D is a shining example. An enthralling, captivating 40 minutes, you would swear you have on scuba gear slowly moving about the spectacular underwater sights. I was shocked at the number of children in the audience, but the 12,000 watt speakers completely drown out any noise that may have been being made.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Well worth seeing. So realistic you actually felt like you were under the water with the camera.
It was relaxing a wildly interesting all at the same time. The reaction of the kids alone is worth going, to see them all try to catch a fish with their hand or pet the sea lion. I highly recommend this one

Best stereoscopic effect I have seen to date. My young child was trying to reach out and touch the fish. Visually stunning, leaving me wanting more at the end of the 40 minutes.
Jim Carrey is OK, but ultimately distracting and corny. I am not sure why a more qualified, less fortunate voice-over actor cannot get the role.
Music and sound effects were heavy handed and had too much treble. The sound effects often sounded like water splashing at the surface.
No time is spent discussing corals in any detail. All the narration is focused on mobile organisms like fish. They describe the predicament of coral reefs, but do not single out any corals and describe their behaviors.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

3D effects were done really well. Although it was a shorter film, it was done well and entertained all.

Although over 100 displayed their names behind this huge film, it felt like it was just 1 guy with a 3-D camera. I wish he had a couple of assistants. When segments were lit artificially it was just 1 light on camera. A couple more lights would have added more
3-D depth.
The saturation was lacking also. A company was paid a small fortune to make it look great, but failed.
Jim Carrey was pretty boring as a narrator also.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie will blow you away, no matter your age. You feel as if you are actually underwater with these animals. A special treat was when they took you above water to the scenery in 3-D, again feeling like you were there. I've never experienced anything like it.
The one negative: it gets a little old being told such beauty is going away because of global warming and human neglect. It's an important message no doubt - - but one that the film should have let the viewer realize on his/her own, rather than have it made so explicit. A minor point though - because the visual experience far outweighs the negatives.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The movie was very enjoyable and visually stunning. You really felt you could reach out and touch the fish. I learned so much about the coral reef, the kind of fish that live there and how interdependent they are on each other.
The one slight criticism is I thought the music seemed a little heavy handed, something lighter or none at all at different points would have been fine.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

As a diver having visited many coral reefs, I found the movie to be extremely realistic. It was as if I was actually diving. The reefs were alive and I felt like I could touch my surroundings if I wanted to. I hope many people see this movie to gain a better understanding of our ocean planet.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
