FANTASTIC undersea photography and refreshing on a very hot 114 degree Phoenix day. I agree with the earlier post that it was a bit too short for the price, but it was well worth it for me. Most of the animals in this movie most people will never see in their entire lives. I loved the Cuttlefish for their "moving-ink" on their backs, and Leafy Dragons looked like a cross between a seahorse and a plant come to life! Absolutely stunning with some of the most interesting and strange "plumage" one might find anywhere in the ocean. Two thumbs up, MUST SEE!

This movie was a great experience, beautifully done, educational....but only 40 mins long....and much more expensive than the other movies.

It was a very hot day and sitting inside the theater, UNDER THE SEA, was the perfect place to be! I loved that it was 3D! At times the creatures seemed to swim right to me. I was immersed in their underwater world. I felt that the commentary was really important. After meeting the creatures and seeing their beautiful environment, the threats to their continued existance meant so much more! Well done!

First of alll, the iMax experience wasn't 'real' for me. I grew up in Northern California, and have experienced the real imax dome...this was just a screen similar to a movie theatre. The Jim Carrey voice-over sounded immature and unsoothing to the ears. The film itself is only 40 minutes, but that's kind of a good thing because your eyes begin to hurt from the 3-D visuals after half an hour(even through the glasses).
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This was the very best 3D I have ever seen. It was like you were right in the ocean with all the awesome sea creatures. I've already told everyone I know that they must go see it. I can't wait for a sequel!

Great movie for all ages! It's not only visually beautiful but it gives you a great education on what is happening to our oceans. In case you haven't noticed that's what is lacking in most films these days and in our schools. I recommend this film for the entire family.

40 minutes. No more no less. Come on guys, there's other fish in the sea. Great visuals at times. Sometimes it was too visually busy to make out all the details. Imax is usually used for sweeping landscapes or giant buildings, subjects that are too large for regular film, but this film dwells a little too much on the close up. Perhaps if they backed the camera up more often, we would appreciate the ridiculously close close ups they used. Jim Carrey is WAY underused. They needed to let him riff more and perhaps sacrifice the G rating. Overall worthwhile.
