I will give it a 2 rating for effort. Hugh Grant demonstrates the same acting poses and gestures throughout the movie. The overall acting lacked in performance. The writers tried to write comedic lines, but failed miserably. I did not feel that Parker and Grant blended well in the movie. It is a decent rental when it comes out on DVD, but not of a movie calibur production.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I went to this movie with low expectations - I assumed that I had already seen all the funny parts in the trailers. I do love the actors though, so off I went. Turns out that there are many witty moments scattered continually throughout the movie! The ending is predictable, but I like to walk away feeling happy so that was fine with me. Enjoyable and entertaining.

This movie was just really funny (more so that I expected) and was a nice light comedy that's perfect for forgetting what's going on in your world for a couple hours. I would certianly recommend it.

I have never submitted a review before but after watching this movie I could not resist. This movie is the worst movie I have seen in a very very long time. The acting was HORRIBLE!!!!! The script was even worse!!!!

I never got the feeling that Grant and Parker were a married couple in this movie. Hugh Grant by his droll nature can do deadpan humor, Jessica Parker cannot. I got a few laughs but the writers fell short in this comedy.
