I've always said I don't really like Zombie movies, but this, was, Awesome. Great humor, plot, action, just the right amount of gore and even a little touching. Great zombie kills. This movie was fantastic and I'd recommend it even for people who don't like zombie movies, as it's so much more than that! If you have a good sense of humor you'll love it! Best movie I've seen in a while. Move over Shaun of the dead!

I don't call myself a zombie movie conoisseur but this movie ROCKED - so much so I couldn't wait to see it again! The BM bit had me rolling in tears and there's a perfect mix of laughs and gore. Woody is awesome, Emma Stone killed it.. literally.

I didn't think enough zombies got killed in Woody ambushes. The hut zombie Massacre was what we needed more of, or the banjo zombie magnet. BM was a nice touch.
With all that said, I'll buy it because I want to see it again, and again.

One of the best surprise cameo scenes ever! And like everything else in this off the wall comedy about the post apocalyptic world where zombies have taken over, its pure fun. Although the story is about zombies and that in and of itself means you will have your fair share of horror, this is an unabashed director's dream comedy.
The story is told by a young loner who has lived as a geek up until the day when the world went mad and as luck would have it the first girl he ever spent a moment with turns zombie on him and tries to eat him. But he's the perfect person to survive in the insanity he finds himself and his book of rules... well, RULES!
Its clever, funny, scary, exciting, and sweet. I highly recommend it.

I've seen and read more movies and books about zombies than I can possibly begin to count ... until now, Shaun of the Dead was the only other film that dared to combine 'average' people and comedy in the realm of zombies ....
Also, Woody Harrelson is definitely a major draw for the movie ... he's highly recognizable and one helluva an actor ...
This movie serves up horror in a refreshingly unique way ... a smorgasboard of humor, action, cool special effects and make-up mixed with an interesting story line AND a special cameo appearance that'll only make you appreciate the movie even more ...

I must first preface my review by stating that although I'm a horror genre fan to the core, not all zombie flicks are worthy of mention or acclaim -- EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE!!! "Zombieland" was action-packed to the gills, with great make-up work and effects, a great cast, and one of the coolest cameos ever (I won't spoil it for anyone)! I loved how the film was not all blood-n-guts, and incorporated comedy into the film. Another thing I thoroughly enjoyed about this film was how when the "rules" for surviving Zombieland were mentioned, a marquees of sorts would come up on the screen displaying each rule in text (reminiscent of "Crank 2: High Voltage). I would highly recommend this film for non-stop thrills, action, and comedy.

Good take on a zombie flick. Tries to make it seem real, while being funny too. Just average people stuck in a world of zombies trying to stay alive and end up becoming a team. Lots of good zombie mashing and pretty good jokes to keep things moving. You will like Twinkies again. Enjoy.

I had high hopes for this movie being a zombie fan and reading all the reviews from the other people. I was pretty disapointed in the movie and it was a little boring for me. It wasnt all that funny like people said. it was no where near as good as shaun of the dead. Huge let down, Do yourself a favor, wait til it hits the redbox for a dollar and save yourself the money.

I'm a zombie movie freak. Favorites of all time: the remake of Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later and Sean of the Dead (ooh he's got an arm off!). Zombieland is right up there. Funny, quotable, good story and, best of all unique.
I was never a big Woody Harrelson fan until I saw him in "No Country for Old Men". When I saw he was starring in a Zombie movie I had to see it.
This movie is filled with those disgusting scenes that make you flinch, look away and then crack up laughing. Then leave you wondering if there's something mentally wrong with you.
Mark my words, for the rest of your life whenever you see a big red clown nose you will think of this movie! squeak squeak.

I enjoyed this movie immensely. It managed to take a story of loss and flesh-eating zombies in an apocalyptic future and have fun in a road picture. Woody Harrelson is at his best. Good soundtrack.

Ok I will admit I have always had a fascination with "zombie" movies, so my take on this movie is based upon the skewed view of a zombie lover.
I loved the movie; the humor mixed with the carnage is a delicate balance sure to please the most ardent zombie lover as well as the non-zombie lover.
The use of humor to approach a drastic situation is so commonplace in every day life why not include it in the apocalyptic tale of "mad cow' gone wild.

Here's the rundown. Jesse Eisenberg (Columbus), and Woody Harrelson (Tallahassee) meet up in this zombie apocalypse thriller. The two combined made this movie the comedy it is. Their female counterparts were nothing to shake a stick at but weren't so much the stars either. While it is a short movie it has tons of laughs as well as the token serious moments. All around I would love to give this 4.5 stars but am unable. One surprise appearance whos name i will not mention made for a very funny portion of the movie. I think this is a movie most everyone could enjoy.

I figured this movie would be funny taking the actors in it. I wasn't sure about the gorey events but it turned out to be a really good movie. I would reccommend it.

Loved this take on the zombie genre - it was consistently laugh out loud funny, from the opening credits to the final scene. Great cast, and the cameos were wonderfully funny too. Found myself alternating between screaming with fright and laughing at the humor - a great ride!

Zombieland delivers on what movies are supposed to be...........FUN! This film is 80 minutes of gore, laughter and action. It makes up for all the terrible PG-13 horror films and bad remakes!
Zombieland proves that with strong script and a great cast, skys the limit! If you are a fan of Shaun of the Dead, The Evil Dead Films or Caddyshack(you will see why), sit back with your extra large tub of popcorn or nachos and enjoy the ride! You will not be dissapointed!

Some clever dialogue, funny bits and performed well, but otherwise uninspiring. The Wonder Years meets Night of the Living Dead. The "finding family" theme was too cliche'
