This movie hits all the right notes, and I'm no fan of zombie films or all the tired parodies that have been spewing out of Hollywood of late. Went as usual with my 13 year old son and we both laughed many times (though sometimes at different spots) throughout the movie. While it was hilarious, it was also thought-provoking and even a bit inspiring. A great companion to Adventureland.

I just went and saw this movie last night and I thought it was great. Very funny and a well made movie. I would recommend seeing. It was money well spent at the theater. My only complaint about the movie was that it was to short. Left the theater wanting more. Can't wait for a Blu-Ray release of this.

What a hoot - funny,flick that never takes itself too seriously. It is about zombies, after all, so there going to be a grossout factor. The language is pretty bad, but probably appropriate for a world where almost everyone wants to eat your flesh. There is a surprise guest star who is awesome. They tried to make a zombie movie funny... but they tried too hard and ended up killing the whole zombie movie essence. They should have probably lessened on the 'cheap' jokes, added some definite good ones, while adding some variety in the action... and allowing the realistic reloading to provide an extra bit of suspense to the action. What ends up coming out is a rather dry, lacking action comedy that I honestly wasn't all that amused with. Worth seeing? Yes, if you get matinee tickets.

overall in my opinion,this movie wasn't bad at all it was the perfect blend of horror and comedy. Woody Harrelson's character really brought a lot of flavor to the film as being a having nothing to lose wild man,and Jesse Eisenberg's anxiety really sucked you into the element when it came to the horror scenes. There's lots of unusual twist and turns throughout the film and some solid comedy(nothing corny at all) which developed into a really good plot during the movie,it sort of caught me of guard,I've noticed the TV spots don't do this film any justice. In the End go check it out,and after wards rent it for friends and family movie night when it comes out on DVD.

This turned out to be even more of a surprise to my husband and I. Read the reviews that it was good, but you never know if you can trust the reviews. Yes it was gory and gross in spots, what do you expect there's zombies everywhere! Yet in the gore there was so much comedy you didn't even care. Woody Harrelson, he is my new action hero!!! The other three castmates also did a great job. Go see this one!

my daughter dragged me to see this and i fully expected another hour and a half waste of my time....but this movie is great on all levels. would go see again and buy the dvd!

I was seriously misled by the other reviews on this sight it was a stupid movie. Gore and narration sums up this movie and its not that funny I had a few and I mean a few laughs.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
