I went to see this movie with my friends and one of their mothers. I was laughing most of the time and really enjoyed it. The clown part had me going for a while. Some of the parts made me jump a little, and the characters had a fair amount of backstory to them, though the girls not much. The plot was simple, but this is a well played zombie movie. I would see it again if I could.

Z-Land was a nonstop ride of hilariousness, and fun. Some jumpy and screamy parts and i laughed the entire time!!! The gooooo and splat was awesome!!! Woody was essentially perfect in this role, and i've only liked him in a couple things. He seemed to be himself and run with the role he was playing!!! On par with Shaun of the Dead and Fido ( a hidden gem, 1 dvd on shelf at BB). You'll looooove it!!!!!
The *on par and *woody comments were what everyone said who'd seen it prior to me, and i have to agree!!!!

Don't let the title of the review discourage you. In all the ways that Shaun of the Dead was a uniquely post modern British take on the zombie invasion flick, Zombieland is uniquely American in its tone, plot, and characterizations.
Sound performances all around, although nothing that we haven't seen from these actors before. Comedy in the right spots, tension in the right spots, and just the right dose of zombie gore make this one a winner. The cameo midway through the film is pitch-perfect--just be sure to stay after the credits roll!

this movie reminded me of those old 60's zombie films that had bad plots and bad acting. the only actors i recognized were bill murry and woody harrelson. i found most of it funny but it was hard to see this as a comedy when there was so much death in it. what struck me odd was the lack of cause for the "zombie-ism". in the beginning the young boy told of various diseases leading up to the zombie-ism but not a deffinite cause or plausible cause. i was disappointed when i left the theater and wished i had not spent the money on it. i wished i had waited until it came to the dollar theater.

'Zombieland' starts slow, but gets better as it goes. It's not the best movie ever, but probably good enough to develop a small cult type following. If you're okay with the gore, much of the movie was very funny.

It's a nice take on a zombie movie, but it never really goes anywhere. Woody carried his share of the heavy lifting nicely, it's always cool to see him on the screen. The modern "Eight is Enough" storytelling techniques are getting a little old amongst this group of writers.

I pretty typically hate everything, but this movie won me over quickly. It's a well-crafted and intelligent story-- told in a style that I'm confident will be "borrowed" a lot in the future. It doesn't pull any punches in delivering on what a zombie apocalypse movie needs to- be warned. The casting is about perfect: Harrelson is the Natural Born Killers Harrelson-- without having to tolerate Natural Born Killers. Jesse Eisenberg is the Michael Cera you're not sick of yet. The film well-earned the applause from the audience at the end-- and it's definitely a movie I would see again. Best experience I've had in the cinema in years.

Woody was great. He was the saving grace of film. Interesting concept for a zombie film. My problem is it lacked development of a storyline and stereotypical roles for the younger members of the cast. Wait for this movie to be on HBO

I laughed so hard watching this movie. Not much too it, just good effortless comedy. A lot of oneliners and did that really just happen moments. FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY, go see it if you haven't already seen this movie. Not a dull moment.
