Went to see this movie not knowing what to expect. What I loved about this flick was the eerie Iowa setting that was captured magnificently. This movie couldn't have been filmed in a better place. The film itself was suspensful but not too over the top with blood and gore. It had a few moments of gore but they got their point across without overdoing it. I loved everything about this film. It was suspensful, funny and held my attention throughout.

My expectations were low for this one and that, no doubt, enhanced the experience for me. The story, plot, dialogue and pacing are big winners in this film about "how things can go really bad when mankind decides to play God". As "crazy" as the premise is (we hope) .... everything in the movie felt organic and - dare I say it - "believable". Loved the Iowa setting and the last 30 minutes slogging towards Cedar Rapids. I will not spoil the surprise at the end BUT make sure you stay through the first half of the credits! A great take on a fairly common horror movie theme. You would be "nuts" to miss "The Crazies"....so ignore your recent lobotomy and scurry down to the local cineplex for some whacko movie therapy.

First off I loved the acting but the story lacked. Jim's my man and gave a believable performance. I was hoping for more horror, though. And sadly, the end was both predictable and unbelievable.

I had low expectations for some reason, but they were soon blown away. This movie grabs you by the brain, squeezes it really hard, and doesn't let go. It is definitely not for the meek. It has flavors of 28 days later, which happens to be one of my all-time favorite movies. Tim Olyphant rocks, as does his deputy. Surprisingly awesome. Do not miss your chance to see this as I can not recommend it highly enough. It's even better than Shutter Island.

Its not on the same level as say the strangers in horror content but it was a pretty scarry movie. And if you enjoy super, gorey movies this ones for you. No feet is spared in this movie, there is fake blood everywhere. And the plot twist blew me away. One great movie though. Deffinatley worth seeing.
