The movie starts off good and does not stop. It is jumpy exciting and scary! Even my boyfriend let out a yelp or two and he is NEVER scared. Pretty good story line and some funny parts on top of that. First good horror/action movie i have seen in awhile. Really enjoyed myself.

Typical epidemic horror film here. Nothing new or original. If you are interested in seeing it you should do fine. Radha Mitchell is tasty as usual. Timothy Olyphant does a nice job as you would expect him to. This film does stay on a constant path....it doesnt get rediculous or stupid the way many films do. The ending is questionable but I will leave that alone here.

Good zombie movie, If were a zombie movie, but technically it isn't. I wanted to say that the movie brings nothing new the genre, but in retrospect it does.. The zombies were clever. Did I want them to be stupid? That's not the directors fault.

This movie was better than I ever expected. That being said if your exppecting a Zombie movie, well this is NOT it. This could potentially happen. With the movie based in Iowa I thought that was pretty realistic. Timothy Olyphant did a great job in this movie. The whole cast was actually pretty good. Go check it out, it's worth the view!!

The CRAZIES takes Romero's work to a whole new level of fantastic!
The movie rockets ahead right out of the gate, thrusting the viewer into the action minutes into the film and telling them to hang on for a wild ride.
I've heard some folks talking about the lack of “zombies” in the film. That's because there are no zombies in the film at all. This is the same problem 28 Days Later ran into – the misconception that these nasties are “the walking dead” when they are simply sick people who have been driven mad by a man made virus.
If you like to be creeped out and tossed around a bit in a movie, the CRAZIES is the movie for you.

I think the director couldn't figure out which type of movie he wanted to make, horror or action/adventure so he missed both targets. The sheriff held my interest throughout, as his was the only character truly developed. Storyline/plot were all rehashes of better movies with the same type of scenario. You could count the 'zombies' on one hand, thus missing the 'horror' target. He was closer to the action/adventure target as it was fairly fast paced. In some areas it was almost too fast paced where they could have developed the plot/characters better. But again, the story was unoriginal and held no new twists to this genre of film, so keeping it shorter than longer probably helped. Director's cut on dvd?

Let's not blow smoke here... I liked the movie. However it wasn't a memorable multi-time watcher. The plot "twist" is predictable but still enjoyable. The acting was a slightly above par, with the deputy actually being the character with the most growth of the whole movie. Nonetheless I found it to be entertaining and left the theater with the feeling I had gotten my money's worth.
It's a standard Romero survival film with a pinch of small-town hopelessness. The main characters have hopes, dreams, and aspirations that all become afterthoughts when the sickness breaks out.
It's fast paced, it's suspense laden, it's got momentary comedy relief, and it left me fulfilled after watching it. These days who can complain about that?

I went to this movie because I thought the premises sounded interesting. The genre was listed as "Action/Adventure." Not true. This is a horror flick. The plot had enough potential to be intriguing, but instead, the director chose shock over substance. By the end of the movie, my wife and I were laughing because of how predictable it was. As soon as things got quiet on the screen we knew something was going to jump out at us, accompanied by a shriek or some other annoying sound at full volume.
That said, I must admit it did keep my attention and the acting was better than in most horror movies.

This was a pretty good movie, I'm glad I saw it. I didn't find a problem with the acting but I did expect to see more gore. But it is a nice graphic violent movie. I think the ending left room for a sequel because there were some unanswered questions. It's not another zombie movie, which I think is great. I don't really feel it's like the movies people have been comparing it too. Maybe they expected a different genre of movie. Either way, I'd recommend people finding out for themselves if it's good or not.

the movie is entertaining but could have been so much better!! i thought the acting was kind of poor on the celebs part. the film reminded me of a script between 28 days later and resident evil both of which i liked better than this movie. i would have liked to seen more scary, edge of your seat, make you jump scenes as well as more killing, blood shed, and insanity from the crazy people. it was hard to tell the diff. between the crazies and normal people sometimes. i didn't like that, but the ending was good. made me laugh! overall, alright to see but it wasn't worth the $10 i spent on it.

Action packed and intriguing yarn about a military mistake that causes a biological outbreak in a small town in Iowa. The military is the monster in this horror film and the bodies pile up quickly. Olyphant and Mitchell are really good running and hiding from an unpredictable mob of crazies and, worse, the U.S. military on orders to kill. I really enjoyed the combination of fear, brought on through anticipation of what was about to happen, along with a decent amount of gore. While some things were a little foreseeable, there were also scenes that had me jumping which is always a plus! And I definitely appreciated that it was not a scary movie that had me almost laughing out loud in the theater due to how stupid or ridiculous the scene played out. Not my favorite horror flick, and perhaps not even in my top 20, but I would still recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys decent horror flicks, flecked with a respectable amount of gore.

The movie was not what we expected but it did show an overwhelming plot on how the government can change a person's life in a matter of a day.

The movie was what I espected from the preview. Knew the entire plot after the first 5 minutes. This movie took partial story lines from other movies and puts them together. Would have preferred more ways for the people to die, too many gun deaths.
