I LOVED this movie!!! Michael doesn't just rail against the crooks behind the government bail out, he walks you through the history of how WE, THE PEOPLE allowed the idiots in our government to rob us blind. And WE ARE the ones responsible! Some of the stories are inspiring, like the company employees who were laid off and were told they would not be paid their last paycheck, to the Miami neighborhood who refused to let the bank throw a family out of their foreclosed home. You've gotta go see this film. Be sure not to leave the theater when the credits start rolling or you'll miss several bits of information he puts up as they roll.

This is the most diffuse of Michael Moore's movies but well worth the time to see. The weakness of the film is that there is little time for much depth into the various ills that unbridled capitalism can bring. Further, victims often come off as befuddled which might lead some to assume individual defects at work when, in fact, the system is pretty effective in screwing over middle/high income/educated groups about as well as the poor/less educated. Nonetheless, this movie gets the conversation going that most other western countries have already had: Yes, anyone can win the lottery but only a handful do. Should our laws all be about helping the lottery winners or the lottery losers?

Moore premiered he movie in his hometown, Flint, MI. Of course, we're a union town, so it went over great. However, whatever your political leanings, see this film! He blames everyone bankers, Democrats, Republicans, hedge funders, lying real estate folks etc. If you've hated Moore in the past, give this doc. a shot, it's a fair and balanced movie, unless you're a far right Reagan kind of guy/girl. For most, it's very thought provoking.

I think this was an excellent movie. It details aspects of American history that I am sure many people werent aware of. It made me sad to see how FDR had done so much for the States, he even tried to get a second bill of rights underway. Thanks to him we still have Social security, Medicare,etc. Im not sure why people are so scared of Moore or dislike him so much. He offers thousands of dollars if you can show what he is saying is not a fact. This means he is telling us the truth. He tells us here about Capitalism and its depressing how much the USA has been bought by Goldman sachs during the republican admins. I hope we can take it back

The movie ends reminding us of our Democrative values yet challenging us not to accept blindly those of our latest greedy economics. I had heard that this film promotes socialism and that's NOT True! Michael upholds our Democratic values. ONce again he uses humor, film clips, music and interviews in order to make his points. I never knew about the life insurances taken on out employees and several other current practices. A good wake up call! Thank you Michael! Loved that our Catholic Church came across awake with a strong voice for justice!

Seriously folks, if you want to better understand how the current form of Capitalism has demolished the American way, this is the movie to see.
Mr. Moore uses his style of humor and tact to reveal, in a balanced and fair story, how we've allowed the top 1% (the ultra-rich) to gain control of our government, our laws and our lives. Creating a system that forces our mothers to work instead of rear their children, our fathers to relentlessly pursue the almighty dollar and our leaders to sell the american family out for a bigger piece of the pie.
It truly is a love story...the love a few have for money and the price the rest of us have to pay for that love.
Remember, we one person = one vote.

I went to see this movie purely for the entertainment, fully prepared for simply a humorous movie with a total left wing bias. What I saw was an extremely thoughtful and insightful look at how our national economy reached the breaking point over three decades, told in an easy to understand and humorous way. No political party or administration was spared from the truth about its role. The movie was both "fair" and "balanced". Go see it!
