This movie will be a hard sell for this part of the country. There were about 15 people in the theater. However, it was opening night and my hope is the theaters will be full every day. Michael was even more fair and balanced than in his previous movies. He encouraged Americans to make a stand but it would have helped for him to give some concrete actions that we could take. It seems overwhelming to try to put a dent in such powerful institutions. So many Americans are apathetic and that is what the corporations count on. Let's hope that enough of us can get angry to effect change. Peasants arise!

As serious as the subject matter of this film is, Michael Moore manages to turn it into another one of this docu-jokes. There's no denying that his style is effective. He moves methodically through the various issues at hand in the economic debacle and he launches an attack on the corporations and individuals responsible. However, it's really more of the same techniques we've seen from him before. It's time for him to come up with new stuff, but there's enough here to recommend it to those who are on his side--which is distinctly to the far left.

Economics is not dry or abstract in the hands of Michael Moore. He masterfully distills his thesis -- that capitalism is inherently evil -- into thought-provoking stories of how power and greed in the name of the "free market" damage ordinary people's lives.
A professional reviewer (AP) had issue with the fact that the film is "all over the place." I strongly disagree. Our economic system is vastly complex, yet Michael Moore manages to touch on it all -- from religion to Reaganomics, and tie it together with startling clarity.
I was riveted to the screen the whole time and felt compelled to cheer on more than one occasion. His best work yet.

Whether you are a fan of Michael Moore or not: this is a movie that should be seen. He might be on to something: this morning as I was paying for my café latte, out of the blue the fortysomething black woman serving me blurted: “Long past time to take it back, those people at the top don’t care about any of us on the bottom, they just see us as some thing to keep down and make more money off of. It is time to get very active, time to out the ones that have been so greedy. They are just greedy, corrupt b#$%&rds.” Her comments surprised me but I thanked her for her significant insight and suggested she go see Michael Moore’s new movie in that he brings up things that we all need to be aware of, think about and become activists about.

Michael Moore is at his best when he lays out the facts that set the historical context for our current economic calamity. Even more important is his willingness to level criticism at any politician regardless of ideology or party affiliation. As with all bold, candid, political criticism, you are not likely to agree with all of his interpretations, but he is honest enough to reveal his factual basis so we can draw our own conclusions. I enjoyed this movie thoroughly. I took my teenage sons to see this movie. This movie got to the evils of our society. He could have added more, e.g.., how to start moving away from strict capitalsim to a Democratic Soialism. He interviewed Bernie Sanders, (my favorite Senator) and I would have liked more of Senator Sanders ideas to be in the movie. I'll probably be on the government's watch list with that statement, if I'm not already, but we're definitely heading toward the fall of the American Empire. Good comparison to the Roman Empire.

The most important thing about this movie in my opinion, is that Capitalism, which used to represent our values has morphed into something that no longer does. Some of us may still believe that "Capitalism" is working but look around and really evaluate it closely. Things have changed slowly but surely. 95% of the wealth is now concentrated in the top 1%. How does this affect our democracy? Our freedoms? Michael Moore does a great job of making us think. I also enjoyed seeing some of our more grounded politicians portrayed. Wow, Michael Moore did it again! Just sitting in the theater, you knew you were surrounded by an intelligent, open-minded audience. They were as amazed and disgusted as I was by the disparity of wealth and the gruesome greed that the uber-wealthy possess. M.Moore handled the information with humor and compassion as he always does. The crowd was applauding like this was a town meeting. Excellent job! I hope he continues to wow us!!

Moore does an excellent job making an engaging, novel and compassionate recap of the current root dilemma. He shows great general knowledge and insight into an issue that is at the core of our values. There were several documented (filmed accounts of) facts that helped educate me. If your theater showing is nearly empty, it is not because of the quality of the film or the quality of the ideas, it is more likely because of the inability of the wealthier patrons to look in the mirror and change their behavior. Yet, we can all create the change needed. Walk or take the bus to the movie to avoid using more oil, denying profit to a gluttonous oil corporation, decrease a fat-cat bonus somewhere, and enjoy the evening air at the same time.

Fabulous movie. The story about how a small minority of Americans mistreats the rest of is a tragic account of how far America has sunk. The most poignant line in the movie is Michael Moore's "I refuse to live in an America like this --- And I am not leaving"
