Since I went opening night I was worried we couldn't get tickets. Much to my dismay the huge parking lot was half full/empty! The audience was definitely "older". I wish 20-40 year olds would go to this movie. Once again M. Moore hits the nail on the head. He has incredible nerve. I'm amazed the he and Bill Moyers are still alive. The two best truth speakers. An appreciated revelation-Mary Kaptur (D-Ohio). I never noticed her before but good to know there are really informed, articulate, dedicated and tenacious Congresspersons.

Most people who enjoy Michael Moore movies Iike being informed to which he usually makes a delivery to everytime. I think that this is the first time Michael Moore wrote a movie for the audience. In the process, I learned some incredible things that the media never brought forth -- even though it is supposed to be the 'Fourth Estate,' fighting to expose truth to the general public. I was appalled, I was enlightened, I was more educated after this movie than I was before I walked in to see it. And I am grateful. Truth is power. Ignorance is not bliss. Capitalism A Love Story provides the details of what we all thought was going on behind the scenes in Washington. Greed is the Achilles Heel of democracy and Moore shows, in a way that only he can, how capitalism has defeated democracy. The movie is a call for action for us to take back our country. My only (slight) criticism is that the movie is rather pro-uniion but many unions are all about greed at the top at the expense of the people at the bottom who make the money via mandatory union dues...exactly what the government is doing to the taxpayers. The movie asks where the bailout money is and why it isn't getting to the people who need it. You come away frustrated and furious when you learn what happened.

Elements of this movie are extraordinary, and should be experienced by every American that loves this country more than party affiliation. Other elements, are a bit hammy & un-necessary. While I believe all the content to be factually true, a couple items are not fair depictions of the whole. We are claiming to be the best nation on earth. Here are some examples which make us think (again, as all his movies). Large scale greed and bribery instead of love and looking out for each other (sorry that would be socialism. But the US constitution tells: "promote the general welfare" ?). So who is paying for the greed and carelessness of some: "We the [world] people". I believe that times for unions are over, the movie gives some shining examples of great companies in America which seem to work well for all. It fell a bit short in delivering the original promise of "who is responsible for the financial meltdown" but we get some good hints. Good job again, Michael. Very worth seeing it - for everybody.

Great job MM. Loved it. I laughed. I cried. Mostly I just wanted to scream. I've been telling friends for years now that we live in a Capitalist State and not our once beloved democracy (even though it was really a republic). If we lived in a democracy we'd have health insurance for all.

Moore once again manages to lucidly plead the case for the dwindling middle class. He chronicles the sabotage of the American Dream by the myopic forces of the Dickensian 1% who are so blind with greed that they have bankrupted and erased the jobs and income of the worlds strongest consumer base.
Moore is sadly vindicated by his predictions in "Roger & Me." This film is merely showing us the beginning of our long slide into ruin, that is unless the delusional, proudly ignorant majority of our citizens wake up and fight for their inalienable rights.
If they do, Moore's film will likely be a large reason why.

It's the message, not the messenger. Whatever one might think of Mr. Moore's style of delivering a message, sane people should realize that the message is very clear: the 'American Dream' is just that. A dream. The reality is that the citizenry is being bought and sold by the corporations regardless of the political party the President is from. Sure, we get to vote, but in the grand scheme of things, we are not free financially and the constitution is a "piece of paper" that can easily be torn. The only paper that our government cares about is the one on which money is printed on.

We have seen all of Moore's movies, loved them all, and loved this one as well. We watched intently throughout the movie, as did those around us in the theater. If I had made this movie, there is one part I would have left out. The man who was losing his home after becoming "disabled" (he used to work at the railroad) was hurling furniture, etc. That kind of issue is something that makes people think the poorer people are just as corrupt ... one would think a "disabled" person would not be able to throw heavy boxes and furniture around. Better to use someone who is not able to both collect disability and move heavy furniture. Still, I'd rate this move a FIVE and hope many people will see it.

Moore is Brilliant, again. He makes documentary movies which you don't want to end. He asks important questions, unearths amazingly rotten stories about our unbelievably corrupt system, has a sense of humor which opens up your heart. And you end up kind of stunned. Thank you M.M. for taking on Capitalism. The HIstoric footage was AMAZING, footage of FDR-- amazing. ROnald Reagan- scary. Go see it. Nice to be in an audience where people applauded.
