I was impressed at the excellent job of bringing all of the individual movies together with such a smooth blend of characters and story lines. They provided a very entertaining look at how the individual egos clash as these heroes are forced to now work together. The special effects were flawless, the acting fit the characters perfectly and the story line was well written. The flow of humor did not overwhelm this exciting action film and provided a very entertaining balance, it was never corny or forced. I would highly recommend this movie and have seen it twice already!

I really enjoyed the movie from beginning to end. The story kept you interested throughout, they intertwined all the characters and their storys well. There was action almost entirely throughout, but they were able to mix some comedy in as well.

It doesn't try too hard, it doesn't get preachy, it was incredible fanservice to any fan of comics in general and the Avengers in particular. Laugh out moments, high dramatic thrills and superhoic daring stunts. The actors knew their roles and interacted fantastically with one another.

I think this is one of the better movies I have seen since Mission Impossible. The story line was really good even though the beginning dragged out a little longer than I wouldv'e liked. Loki's character in the beginning seemed as if they were trying to hard to get his character involved in the movie but eventually he joined the flow. I definitely plan on seeing this movie a second time in the 3D IMAX. I would recommend this movie as part of the summer season.

Best action, great story, fantastic soundtrack, fantastic cast especially Scarlett Johansen ! Only negative to me was Captain Americas costume and Thor seem to be based on The Ultimates. Caps mask just doesn't look right without the wings on his head and no Star on his back. Thors costume was really bad should have been based on Jack Kirby style as well as Cap. May have also been one of the best action movies I ever saw.

I have to say that I've been waiting to see this movie since I heard it was being made. They did well on the casting and I enjoyed it immensely and will definitely see it again! I plan on seeing it at least two more times that is how good it is and I've already been trying to get all my friends to go see it! The FX was awesome and they even found someone to do the Hulk some justice. The Hulk movies were just sad...
But this was a total GRAND SLAM!

Best comic book-based movie I've EVER seen. Loved the character interactions. Loaded with great tie ins. The Hulk is BACK better than ever. Interactions between Thor and other Avengers is spot on. Cap takes the reigns of the team as he would in the comic. Everything just falls into place. Loki, greatest villain, and as with the comic, the first villain the Avengers face as a team. Loved every minute of it!

If you've been following the MARVEL films, sit back and hold tight. This was a ride from the very beginning. The heroes provided some comic relief, and Tom Hiddleston gets his true villain on.
Can't wait for the sequel.

If you are a Marvel Comics fan this is the culmination of movies. All super heroes eventually worked well together with physical special powers, strengths, and smarts. Together saved the day!

Avengers...What little I can add to the already stellar reviews is this movie is completely Massive in it's presentation so don't waste your money on NON-digital theaters that don't offer the sound required. I hit the first showing of the day with my son at an AMC in OKC and the sound was horrible in a non digital theater. Actually think this one is worth the price of 3D and if you have the need for an IMAX fix that is truly an IMAX experience then go for it. This movie is just plain fun and you won't go wrong.
The only knock is that the disfunction of this little family took a little too long when it's the non action bickering, we all get that they don't get along, and that's the climactic part of the film when they come together of course, but the fight scenes (when they are at each other) are great, so sit back, (skip the "bladder buster" drink unless you have a horse bladder and can hold it for 2 1/2 hours) and enjoy.
If you haven't already heard then wait through the credits for a glimpse of the threat for the next movie. Enjoy!!!

The movie was great, the action, the storyline, the context and contents of the movie was great. It was action packed and kept me stuck to the screen the whole time. My Wife who isn't a fan of Comics or "Superhero" movies was also attached to the screen like never before. It was comical and funny which was also great. Great Movie, Great Job!

This is a much better movie than I was expecting. As usual, Robert Downey Jr is awesome and reason enough to see this movie. You are going to need to watch this one more than once. There is so much going on that you feel like your missing too much.
