It has been along time since I have seen a movie that made me want to go right back in the movies and see it again. I have been to see this movie twice since it came out and will likely see it one more time before it is gone. I will get this movie as soon as it comes out. There wasn't one place in the move where it was lacking. I usually don't go for character changes but Mark Ruffalo played Banner/Hulk excellent.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, excellent

i thought it was going to be over rated, but they really proved me wrong. this movie was amazing, especially if you've seen the separate movies of each Super Hero. TIP: stay till all the credits are over, your in for a happy surprise :)

I am still reeling over the heart racing thrill ride offered up this year by the much awaited release of The Avengers. True to fashion Marvel Comics provides one heart stopping scene after another with an incredibly witty splattering of humor to go with. Loki Thor's adopted brother is up to no good. He wants to rule the Humans. He solicits the help of two unsuspecting men who help harness the power of the Tesseract a source of unknown and unlimited power. Little does he know that Iron Man, Captain American, Thor and the rest of the crew are not having it.

While I do not recall the comic book version of each characters, I did like the movie. The special effects were great and the insertion of comedy was good. I really like the Hulk!!! :-)

I've seen Avengers twice, but for Mother's Day, I took my mother to see it. She enjoyed the humor throughout the movie as well as the "good-looking men." For me, I was able to notice things I couldn't the first go-round. I can't really say here because I'd spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet.
My biggest surprise was how well Mark Ruffalo did as Bruce Banner/Hulk. I had practically written him off, until I saw his performance. He just about made me forget all about Edward Norton back in 2008. You can bet I will get this on Blu-Ray the minute it comes out!
For those concerned about violence, that's up to parents to decide because it is a superhero movie. However, when it comes to curse words, there's probably one or two at best, and none of the serious words.
If you can handle 3D, go for it. For those of us who can't do 3D (like me), it's still a thrill-ride per minute, with incredible camerawork.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, great humor
Cons absolutely none!

With all the hype and quality of the other individual avenger movies, this was a little disappointing. Of course, this was a fun movie and I'd still recommend it. It lacked some of the realism that was attempted in the Iron Man movies and started to transend any semblance of reality. Some of the technology, military equipment and science went from the vicinity of real to completely outlandish. Dialogue often times went from naturally funny to "trying to be funny". Physics were completely disregarded. Very fast paced and almost too much crammed into one movie. With all this said, it was fun and you should still see it, but it falls way short of the Iron Man movies. As good as Thor, but given you didn't expect much with that, this movie doesn't live up to the hype.

Spectacular. For all the complexity of integrating multiple independent characters and story lines, it was a great ride. Has just the right amount of humor so that it doesn't take itself too seriously, but not so much it comes off like an attempt at a comedy. If you are even marginally entertained by action and/or sci-fi movies, you will enjoy this. Stay through the very last credits, its worth the wait!

The movie was a little slow starting out, but ended with a bang! I was a little confused as to why the Hulk didn't recognize one of his own allies at the beginning of the movie, but at the end could differentiate between friend and foe as well as following orders. Overall, it is a great movie and I loved it!

Not particularly high brow entertainment, doesn't tug at the heart strings or make you reflect on your own life, but no one is expecting that, and it's visually very cool. Sometimes we like a little junk food, and that's what this movie feels like: you know it's not good for you, but you just can't resist all the action!

After attending a showing last night at a packed and sold out theater at 10:30pm at night for the Avengers I can see what all the talk was about. The storyline was well put together and didn't bore you out like some movies do. The movie got started almost right away in the action and the storyline or the camerawork never broke once.
It is rare where an action movie can be so well cast and then done without a flaw as this movie has. It was amazing to see not only the action, the adventure but also the added comedy in just the right places which brought unanimous laughter and claps from the crowd. Just hearing the "Wows" and "Amazings" as battles raged and all the time Samual L. Jackson stood there cool, calm and collected playing Nick Fury to a Q.
I am going to see this movie again & again as I just can't get enough of it and I'd highly recommend that you do too!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, amazing action, 4 stars, a+, great special effects

I would recommend this movie to all comic book readers for they will enjoy their favorite comic book heroes coming to life and to other who no nothing of comics the will enjoy the action.
