The movie was great, I enjoyed it immensely. The story, such as it was, served the fact that you had to get a whole bunch of heroes some face time. Looking forward to Avengers II - Thanos!

Seen it three times now, and have been just as excited to see it each time. The flow of the movie was great - the scenes connected well and allowed the story line to flow. Tony Stark (Downey) has the best lines - love his sarcasm and quips. And all of the characters together worked well - was concerned that one or another superhero wouldn't get enough screen time, but I thought it worked out great! DEFINITELY a must see - and a DVD purchase when it comes out!

It had a couple of good parts, but most of the movie I had not idea what they were talking about. The hulk was the best, but most of the moves was boring and I really thought this movie would be good. It also had some funny parts in it, and maybe too many.

This movie was a dream come true for die hard comic fans. I don't think Marvel could have hired someone who understands these characters more than Joss Whedon. The witty dialogue combined with a great cast and epic set peices will appeal to all ages.

I was diappointed by the stupidity of this movie. I will make no bones about the fact that I am NO Samuel Jackson fan. He alone, having been cast into this series of film ruined it in it's entirety for me. This movie did not deserve the hype it received but that is only my opinion. I just personally believe they could have done a better job.

Although it's just the usual 'good vs evil' sort of story, but it's a good old fashion comic line. I did not expect it to be any different.
Enough actions and dialogue to keep the movie going. I like it a lot for a good clean laughing, jump-off-the-seat a bit, thinking-less entertainment.
My favorite scene is at the very very end, after all the credits, where the 4 avengers and Thor sat at a 'side street' diner trying to eat their meals. Such a crack-up ! I think Mark Ruffalo was about to loose it, he quickly stuff himself with some food and Robert Downey Jr. 'sifted' himself on the chair ! "LOVELY" :}

I was impressed with how well this movie was put together. I am not a comic book person so I don't know how well it sticks to any actual comic plot but I thought it had an amazing story line and had the perfect amount of comedy to balance the dark mood involved in intergalactic war.

This movie was so dynamic you can't take your eyes off the screen for fear of missing something!!! It was so much to take in at once, I feel like I need to go see it again because I couldn't see everything that was happening!!

OK, I hated this movie; my husband liked it, why? Because its a brainless guy movie. The entire movie is battling aliens from start to finish, just that. If you love movies with the worst lines, no story, and want to see the big green guy lose it yet again ten more times, see captain america in that outfit trying to be taken seriously, then guys and gals, this is the movie for you.

Cons bad acting, slow, all fighting, worst lines, zero story

Lousy script, cliched plot, slow to start, overdone if brilliant special effects, tepid acting, Robt Downey a standout as usual, and then just a lot of non-sequiters - like how come the Hulk went from being the problem to being the solution? Just like that? Make me appreciate the pacing and plot of Avatar even more...Mr Wheedon, you're wasting your talents (I know, you made a ton of money, so you can finance your next personal project - go for it!)
