Been waiting to see this movie for a while, and it really surpassed my expectations. It had all the right elements. The action scenes were amazing. Of course Chris Hemsworth is nice to look at as well. Has a very funny dialogue that never forced. The acting all around is awesome. Will definitely see this movie again before it leaves theaters.

Great movie for all ages. I took my 7 yr old son along with my 65 year old dad and we all loved it. If you never knew who Thor was or how he becamse Thor you'll know now after watching this movie. Will buy on Blu Ray and can't wait to see how this franchise grows. Best word to describe it was from my 7 yr old son who said the movie was gnarly and he is a tough critic.

Loved the movie! Great movie for the entire family. Chris Hemsworth was amazing! The end could have been a little better but overall, it was a great movie! Stick around after the movie ends...like with just about every Marvel movie...there's a twist!

If you're into the Marvel / Sheild superhero thing you will enjoy this. Side benefit is that it brushes you up on some Norse mythology. Best of all, it's 2 hours of a decent story, good actors, and a fun action scene with very very good special effects and sophisticated virtual landscapes. A good time at the cinema.

I'd never heard of the comic book Thor before but like the Comic heroes. My daughter took me for Mother's Day. We enjoyed the movie but thought the plot was kinda light. Good movie overall. Set you up for a sequel. Would watch it again. Amazing special effects and scenery detail.

It was Great. I took my entire family (5 adults and 2 Kids) and all enjoyed it. This was a good clean movie with some funny parts and action. I would like to see more of these types of movies. It's great when you can take family members of all ages.

I thought this movie was great! It had great special effects, and the story was actually good. While some newbies might not get the references to SHIELD, overall the story is explained well enough to know how Thor came to be a protector of mankind.
I didn't see the 3-D version, but I will buy this in disc when it is released.

It wasn't great in my opinion. What I walked away from it with was that it was visually stunning, and kept drawing your attention to how pretty the visuals were. I would have preferred more story and better character development. At best the characters had 2 dimensions.

This movie has a few good scenes, great special effects, and a rather rote/by the numbers plot. Its entertaining and helps set up The Avengers. Stay after the credits for the usual extra scene.

I went to see this movie with my 15 year old daughter. We had a great time. The movie was fun, action packed and appropriate for all age levels present.
We both felt, however, that too much time was alloted to Thor, his Father and Brother in their Realm, the war with the Freeze people and not enough time spent on Thor on Earth, earning the worthiness he needed to take the Hammer back. And now that the bridge to Earth is broken, how will he ever get back and join the Avengers?? Can't wait Marvel!

I don't have a bad thing to say about this flick! A must see, moves at a great pace, was totally blown away by it. I did not see this movie in 3D, and you don't need to either! It's that awesome, maybe I'll go see it again in 3D, who knows... Chris Hemsworth was awesome as Thor, kudos to him! Natalie Portman looked so scrumptious in this movie, she is just so cute! Anywho, go see this movie, pay the full price if you have to! :)

Definitely a good movie and one that can be watched and understood even by those who haven't followed Thor through his incarnations in comic history. He definitely comes across more humanistic than in the comics. Some slight cheese factors here or there, but they provide for some good laughs. Definitely a go-see-again kinda movie.

I thought the movie was fantastic! Chris Hemsworth was incredible as Thor. "I'll have another!" ))))))))Smash(((((((( I completely understood why the story went from Earth to Asgard and back........for those who complained about that stay home and watch the Simpsons. :(
A definite must see while in theaters on...."the BIG screen". The graphics are phenomenal! All acting very well done. The beginning was a little hokey but not for long, and stay through until the end of the credits. Don't miss this if you like sci fi!

Seriously... this is the best Marvel comic movie that's been made so far. So well done in fact that I think I like the movie better than all of the cartoons, comics and legends that preceded it (and that's saying a lot!!). Great actors, loads of laugh out loud scenes and... who can say no to a Chris Hemsworth shirtless walk on scene? :) But seriously, Thor is the best movie I've seen in theaters in the last 6 years, easily. GO SEE IT!!!

I thought the story, the acting and the action all worked well. The director is not an action movie director but he did enough to make it exciting. The interactions and dialogue all worked together. Well done overall. Hopefully they don't make the Iron Man 2 mistake for the next one.
