With a family of mostly boys, I only see action and super hero movies, but Hey, this was great! My daughter and I were completely entertained throughout the movie. It was cleverly done, acting was great, love story was totally engaging. We can't wait for the sequel!

Very pleasantly surprised--I have been a fan of Thor since childhood and was not sure if the movie would do Thor's character justice, but this movie captured Thor almost PERFECTLY. I went in thinking it looked OK from the previews and ended up being blown away. The actor who played Thor did a GREAT job as did Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins was an amazing Odin. Go see this movie-it has a little bit of everything and Thor fans will definitely love it!

I'd recommend it for the action, but the story line was weak between Natalie Portmans character and Thor. Anthony Hopkins was worth seeing this movie for, but this was a set up for the sequel. It's solid, but I just don't feel these movies are worth the 3D price with storylines like these. Should have just put "part 1" in the title.

We weren't sure what to expect but we got a big surprise. This movie had all the elements action, great fight sequences, some comic relief and a little romance. Special effects were awesome, Kenneth Branagh did a great job. Can't wait for The Avengers.

Our boys liked the Percy Jackson and Harry Potter movies. This was about as intense and exciting. We hope that Kenneth Branagh makes more action movies. Sure, there's violence, but it fit in the movie.

As long as Marvel is overseeing these movies like Thor and Iron-Man then the studios do a great job of bringing them to life. You see how Thor's pride must be humbled before he can truly realize his potential to be a great warrior and one day a great king. Loki is phenomenal as the trickster he is. You can see the wheels always turning. If you love the characters from the comics you will not be disappointed.

I've been a big fan of the Avengers series so far, and this one is no exception. 'Thor' was well written, true to the comic, and full of awesome gratuitous explosions (which, to my mind, is important to a movie like this). Loki -- who looked a bit Withnail in his human-world gear -- stole the show right out from under everyone else.
My only complaint is that someone needs to tell Kenneth Branagh that it's okay to hold the camera still once in a while! Asgard looked utterly beautiful, but it was hard to see anything (not only there, but on Earth) because of the constant circular tracking shots. I got seasick after a bit, which is a pity because there was so much beautiful stuff there to look at. And I went to the normal 2D showing; I can't imagine how busy it would have looked in 3D.

I thought the movie Thor was very good. The action never stopped The villan in the movie wasn't surprising, but the ending was (which I really enjoyed). I also enjoyed the comedic effects when Thor landed on earth. It made the story more interesting and not just a sci fi thriller.

Knew nothing about Thor with exception of mythology course I took in college. Did not know lead, like some of the stars and had a morning to kill so I thought why not
This movie far surpassed my expectations and actually had a plot you could follow, develop empathy with the actors and deviated from the over the top comic book cliches. Some of the actors were not required however the big three had believable chemistry and worked well together. Would recommend this one!

This movie was surprisingly entertaining. It was your typical comic-type movie. No thick plots, meaningful character development, nor unexpected plot twists, but nonetheless, enjoyable. Chis Hemsworth portrayed a perfect Thor from the attitude to the physique. Very good job! Enjoyable and entertaining movie.

Wow! I was very nervous about Thor. Being a lover of comics (Marvel, especially and Spider-Man, mostly), I was really skeptical of this movie after the trailers really didn't do much for me. There were many problems with this movie, from editing to plot, acting to, well, plot again. This movie is definitely not one to see if you are looking to watch an involved movie full of drama and suspense. However, if you just want to see a quick flick with some action and some pretty well done visuals, this may be your choice. I would best compare it to Avatar, with a plot that really is nothing new, but a lot poured into the special effects. Some poor acting here and there, the casting wasn't exactly the strongest of the movies of late, but they get the job done well enough. The musical score, despite not being astoundingly impressive, was well done and was used very well. All in all, watch it if it's a slow day and you just need something to do, but it won't become your favorite movie, and won't inspire too much deep thought or conversation.

I'm definitely a Marvel Comics fan, and "The Avengers" was my favorite mag. when I was growing up. I was really concerned they would ruin this, but I was definitely surprised. I'm so excited about the first Avengers movie, and thus far, this pre-character introduction flick was a favorite. I'd put it on par with the first Iron Man flick. You have to see it. I didn't get to see it in 3D, but it was still awesome. Don't miss it.

Was a huge collector of Marvel comics growing up so I eat these movies up. Some have been somewhat disappointing however(Daredevil for one). Not this one, the special effects were great and they don't always amaze anymore due to computer capabilities. But this movie thoroughly entertained me. And what red blooded American male would have a problem looking at Natalie Portman for awhile. Anthony Hopkins was wonderful, nice to see him in a role where he isn't looking to eat someone. Hensworth was a pleasant surprise as a new comer, that physique is why I work out. Can't wait for the sequels that are sure to come.

Just wait for the movie to be released in DVD. Don't be fooled by Anthony Hopkins on the cast because the plot really sucks.
