It had minimal merit. Mostly corny. A few good scary-type scenes.. but totally unbelieveable. I mean... What first time mom goes into labor early, has the baby in 10 minutes and is walking around 10 minutes later. Stuff like that bugged me.

I love movies that have a Frank Peretti-like feel .... or movies that create drama around the ultimate battle of "good vs. evil" & I was really looking forward to Legion. While this movie has some interesting tidbits .... those tidbits are just too few and in-between. The movie is dis-jointed, leaves too many dots to be connected - even within the fictional world it creates. On the positive side Bettany is surprisingly good as an a warrior-angel and Quaid, while under-utilized, gives one of his most interesting performances to date. This adds up to maybe 15% of what is in the movie. The rest - special effects, plot, cinematography, dialogue, editing & sound - are below par & expectations. Skip this one.

This is one of those movies that looked like it was going to be great, but turned out to be a big disappointment. They could have added more of the scary characters. What you saw in the commercials was basically it. The story line was weak, leaving a lot unexplained, and the ending made no sense at all. My husband and I were EXTREMELY disappointed in this movie. After seeing the trailer and how majestic and strong the angels appeared we were really looking forward to a great action packed movie with some sort of accurate biblical references. What we got instead was second rate acting, boring predictable action scenes and terrible directing. Some things in the movie just don't make sense like why was the baby they were trying to save so important to mankind? This movie had wonderful potention it just didn't deliver.

The previews were awesome, I was so excited to go see this. but the previews really highlighted the best parts of the movie. Its more of a horror flick than an action flick but has a lot of slow spots. It really started slow, my boyfriend and I opened our phones to check to find the plot to make sure we were in the right movie.
It hd some nice effects and some fun parts. It had good parts to the story line.
It definitely brought up a lot of moral issues, that could have been better left out.
Its OK but I wouldn't waste the money going to the theatre to see it, will be just fine on video. not a movie I have any desire to see twice but once is fine.

I would recommend this movie for the frequent movie goer like me. I would not recommend this to someone who does not get out often and is really looking forward to a good movie. The effects in this movie are excellent and the characters were well written and acted. I like the story line and how it was executed though there was some predictability. It has great elements of action, horror and fantasy, remeniscent of Living Dead. I thought the end was left dangling a bit more than I wanted, but a bit of imagination can fill in the blanks. Won't be taking my 13 year old due to intense morally controversial content.

I hope that whoever reads this takes it to heart before deciding what to see. DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE.......YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! WIth high expectations, I headed to my local theatre to check out what I thought would be the next best thing since Avitar. Much to my dismay, the best thing I can say about the movie is at least it wasn't 2 hours long. The plot is pretty weak...your baby can save the world. Why her baby? Character Development is just as sad, we don't really know much about anyone after the movie is over, nor do we get to relate to any of them. Special effects? Nah, you saw the best stuff on TV in the commercials...really. My suspension of disbelief was fairly quickly shot to heck and then it was a matter of waiting for the end.

I liked this movie alot but left the theater rather unsatisfied. The acting was great and I really felt connected with the characters. The film however ends very abruptly leaving ALOT of important questions unanswered (just like an episode of lost). At NO point do you find out the significance of the baby or the extent of the destruction/deathtoll on humanity. If you are inclined to see it....thats fine just dont expect a meaningful or detailed ending.

My friends and I were really hyped to see this movie. It seemed like the movie went sorta slow at some points. There were some creepy moments of the movie that were really good. Some of the fights scenes were pretty cool. The end was HORRIBLE. I was like, really that's it? Concept of the movie was cool but it could of been done better and I wish that the end was better.

If you like the "End of the World" movie genre, you will enjoy this one. It has some slow parts, but that is overshadowed by the great action sequences! I would actually pay to see this movie again!

I thought their was going to be a lot of action in the movie based on the trailers but what you saw in the trailer where the goods one. I laughted maybe one time and was scared zero. There was plenty of time for more action and to explain the concept of the movie but the directors decided not to so therefore they lost my vote in recommending it to my peers. Will not be seeing part 2 for sure because i know it is in the works.

Good Acting. Poor Story. Predicable, tired, been done before, no surprises, etc. Entertaining if watching on cable, not good enough to make price of admission worth it.
