Paul Bettany does give a credible performance as the archangel Michael but the story and the rest of the cast just wing it. If you don't have anything better to do with an hour and a half, it won't be a total was of your time or money.

As other reviewers said, the fx were very good but there was no plot. AT ALL. So many questions were left unanswered almost as if they cut the middle out and thought it didn't matter. As the title of my review suggests, I found the plot line to be rather predictable, however, Legion is still (in my opinion) theater-worthy. The story may be a touch weak, but it's visually engaging enough to warrant seeing on the big screen, rather than waiting to rent it on DVD.

My partner and I were rather disappointed. The best parts can be seen in the trailer. There is a lack of good character development and a only a few good lines of dialogue. For the most part the actors were good. The movie starts out a bit slow and then picks up but then slows down again. I found the premise to be very intriguing but felt the writers could have done a lot more with it. I feel the fault can be found in the plot development or there lack of. My recommendation is to save your money and wait for it to come out on DVD.

The story is garbage! The acting is less than b-movie caliber. But, worst of all this movie has long scenes with lame dialog that do nothing to entertain us or move the story along. There are a few action scenes, where they obviously blew their budget, that I'd give 3-stars to, but there weren't enough of them to keep me entertained. This is the type of movie that you feel like leaving half-way into it, but I regret to say that I stayed to watch the entire train-wreck. Skip it until you can see it for free--and then it's not even worth seeing.

Im glad I saw it but it was a little lacking, the scary parts you saw in the previews is all there was. It was funny but I was expecting more thrills and well you know more jumping and screaming but not so. I don't regret seeing it, it probably helps that I had a pass. I, too, expected a movie with epic battles and a definative outcome between good and evil. I was sadly disappointed. The plot was vague, at best. If you are a true believer and are looking for this movie to follow your every expectation I recommend you save your money. There were some good tidbits to this movie but I didn't know it was horror based so I was unpleasantly surprised by the language used for shock affect and the unreal persona of what an angel is.
although there were a few good lines the movie built to a peak and then failed to pull off a good ending

This movie is reminiscent of a bad zombie movie. The only movie that i've seen lately that was worse is Ninja Assassin. I would not recommend this movie to anyone, unfortunately. I was really looking forward to this movie and was greatly disappointed. It had the potential to be good but unfortunately they didn't put much thought into the storyline...so that's what you get. Their are no short cuts to making a great film, I wish the Executive Producers realized that these days.

Paul Bettany, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson and Dennis Quaid are wasted in this mostly boring film. There were a few good spots but the film lacked a decent story and had no character development whatsoever. Why should we care about any of these people (except maybe Lucas Black's character)? We know nothing about most of them . This should have been a good film...good actors and pretty good concept on the angels but lousy writing.

No doubt this movie will make it to the DVD edition in record time. I saw it on the second day of its release, and the theatre was nearly empty. How did the word spread so quickly? If you are foolish enough to go, look for themes from other films such as "Night of the Living Dead," and "Terminator." I have an uneasy feeling that enough was left unexplained to allow for a sequel, heaven forbid!
