While I usually don't get too bothered when the plot of a movie doesn't move from a few yard radius, I felt rather cramped during this movie.
For the religious debate, I found it interesting and somewhat entertaining. Yes a bit confusing, but it was nice to see something not so good/bad or cut/dry.
The acting wasn't horrible, but the dialogue was annoying.
Overall I recommend a rental on this one and save some cash. This'll look just as good on a smaller screen.

Another horrible religious movie. This movie was so bad I actually wanted the entire cast to lose at the end. Dennis Quaid was the only decent actor in the movie. I thought this movie was suppose to be scary. It ended up being more of a comedy instead of a drama. I thought the plot was dumb. I can understand they were trying to portray some kind of moral/meaning into the script but it was poorly done. Everyone in the movie theaters were cracking up at the "dramatic" parts. I thought the movie was pretty good. I was kind of hoping for a little more action because it was pretty much the same thing throughout the whole movie, they are stuck in the restaurant shooting people. Since we only meet two angels in this movie the title is misleading in terms of expected action. While fairly well done the story line never fully develops and leaves the audience with way too many questions unanswered and almost seems as if this movie was meant to be a TV pilot with many episodes to follow. The door is definetely open for sequels, but who cares: there is too much unknown to stay interested until the sequel arrives. Decent entertainment for an afternoon but not much beyond that.

This movie was a disappointment, from the TV advertisements it seemed like it should be a good movie. But it lacked much of any special effects and was lacking even in the story line. It was like a low budget zombie movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Yet another example of an utterly pathetic movie made to look potentially good in its previews. The film is rancid with bad acting (made THE MIST look like Shakespeare), embarrassingly bad dialog (entire theater laughing) & plot & continuity holes big enough to drive a truck through. Right up there with Matthew Broderick's GODZILLA and BATTLEFIELD EARTH. Makes me wonder how actors like Paul Bettany & Kate Walsh could have sold out to be a part of this turkey. Trust me--don't even watch it on HBO or rent it.

I see that a lot of other reviewers panned the movie. It was gritty, not flashy and not too heavy on plot. My daughter and I liked the movie despite all of this. It tried to be a movie that made you pay attention to character development and the conflict each character had to go through. Well, even that was a little light but so what! I had no expectations going into the movie with the exception that I might be scared (okay, a few jump back moments) which I wasn't overall. Give the movie a chance.
