I was fasicnated with the story of Amelia Earhart as a kid and so, I wanted to check out this movie. Good performance by Hilary Swank in the title role.

I had high expectations for "Amelia," but none were met, even with Swank playing the lead. The movie seemed to drag and felt like it ran much longer than two hours. Swank's performance was great despite the lack of material she had to work with. Her character was never fully developed to my satisfaction, which was a real shame. Still, I would recommend the movie simply to see the cinematography and recognize the great feats of this courageous woman.

I'm surprised at some of the critics bad reviews. Don't let them influence you and go with the people who give it a thumbs up. It is a good movie. Great flying views and a good story...well done.

This wasn't a very action-packed movie but very well done and being an aviation enthusiast I liked it all the more. Hilary Swank was great! I also appreciated the good taste in how much was shown during the romance scenes. We clearly got the point without the graphic detail. We could then appreciate her legacy not her love life.

While I believe that this movie had fine actors, I found myself taking a nap from time to time. I thought that this movie was slow moving and simply did work for this viewer. It is therefore difficult for me to recommend this to anyone. Save your money!

I enjoyed the movie - the acting, direction and storyline did a great job of telling the story without being cliche, over the top or overzealous. I thought Hilary Swank was absolutely excellent in her portrayal of Amelia - and comparing pictures of the two - what a resemblance!! If you are a history buff you'll get an extra bonus with this film as the sets, costumes, aircraft, everything where to period and done very well.

"Amelia" was a very stirring movie. I enjoyed the portrayal of the characters without an excess of sentimentality. While the appeal is mainly to women, there is enough history in there to give men something to watch.

Hillary and Richard are great actors. I agree that this movie was a little slow but not too slow to keep you from seeing it. I have a great love for flying so I really enjoyed this. Historically informative and nice biography. Loved the wordrobe and scenery. Awesome planes....wished I could have been up there with her.
