This was so silly and full of 10 year old type antics-we were ready to leave after 5 minutes but stuck it out as we were meeting people after the show. Not good for 10 year old either with teen drinking and driving themes. Do not waste your money.

I did not expect much going in to see this film and I was still disapointed. The film is poorly written, poorly acted and moves like a bottle of glue. A very poor attempt at bringing the 80's teen movie to today. The choices of actors made bery little sense, and the whole movie seemed forced. Avoid or wait until you get a free rental and then avoid it there as well.

I suspect this movie is much better for the younger crowds. We (DH and I) saw it pretty late, the weekend it came out, and no one was in the theater (first sign). The few straglers that did come in were all in early high school years. We expected a funny teen comedy. But instead we got second rate acting, poor casting choices, and a awfully weird storyline. First its all about parties and drinking, and then, a life lesson about respecting each other socially? I was bored about 15 minutes into the movie. Very unrealistic, and all the "action" type scenes were a little too forced for my liking. Funny moments were few and oddly placed.

This movie was lol, hilarious..there were only a few people in the theater when I watched it (about a week after opening & late at night) but everyone in there couldn't help but to laugh sometimes uncomfortably loud! Everyone seemed to enjoy it thouroughly, I know I did! The ONLY thing I would have changed with the movie is the male lead, he was SO nerdy that he was hard to like..but other than that, great flick!

The premise for this movie was actually pretty good, though a bit cliche, but the first hour of the movie was so lacking for substance, that I almost walked out. Only the last 30 minutes saved the film from one star. If you don't mind a sophomoric comedy with an appeal to the under 20 crowd, then it probably will hit a chord with you. This is not for children under 13 (don't give them ideas!).

Director Chris Columbus has done a nice job an several big-time movies in the past but his quality touch is missing in this film. The last 30 minutes of the movie are much better than the first 72 minutes. This is when the "moral" of the story gains clarity. The tone changes - from the typical high school graduation comedy movie romp with s*x, booze, parties, bullies, nerds, cheerleaders and bad driving - to a reason for the #1 nerd to respect the #1 bimbo cheerleader and vice versa. Just not enough substance, humor or chemistry to recommend this movie. Many 13 to 18 year olds will find a few chuckles but the rest of us will be better off investing our time and money elsewhere.

The best graduation night excapades ever! I thought this was very creative and better than I expected from the previews. I can easily see a sequel. She was encouraged by him. He knows his potential. His future should be set. Sure, it had the typical, cliché high school themes and it was a little predictable at times, but I truly think this was a good movie. It was much better than expected! I didn't believe one bit of the movies content when I viewed the previews and the posters. The movie was not inapropriate for any one. I do believe that perhaps it should of been rated G. And I do recall that I didn't see many scenes that were plot related.

I went to Beth Cooper with friends today (opening day). We litterally laughed from the second it started to the second it ended. I really enjoyed it. I have never laughed so hard in a movie theater before this. Usually movies this funny have no point to them but this one has a cool storyline! In the context of a high school comedy, fraught with innuendo and language, a glimmer of Chris Columbus still glows in embers. The truth of the matter is that an attempt is made on the urgency of fulfilling a life-long dream to be with the "ideal" girl by the butt of all high school jokes, the nerdy, geeky, never-been-kissed bookworm, yet the underlying message has some sense of heart and purpose. The real message is that people do not peak in high school, and being someone who has self-worth shines above the notion that being popular is an end-all proposition for life's goals. A little rough, overly reliant on language, yet the films finds a voice. 3.5 stars, more if they did not use the "adult" content.

This movie took me back to my high school years. Everything that happens to Dennis Cooverman is believable and FUNNY! The poor guy is just like the geeks that I ran around with that couldn't get a date to save their soul. I think everyone can relate to the high school clicks that were headed up by some self-centered blond who's only concern was what party she could be seen at and how much she could get away with.
I remember when my parents left town and trusted me to behave: and crazy bad things happened that were out of my control. This movie is like being taken back in time and reliving my highschool years all over again, Hilariously, Insanely funny stuff! It's worth the trip down memory lane!
