I was afraid it be like The Future of Food and go for the government hammer approach to 'fixing the problem'. It was pleasant to see the movie instead largely advocating for non-governmental approaches. The end of the movie was also very good in providing suggestions for how to participate in changing the situation.

This movie does an excellent job of framing how our food production is hidden from us. This an eye opener to folks who don't believe there is anything wrong with our food production. Very factual, excellent documentary. I only wish they could have fit more facts in the short amount of time they have to convince you think global, act local!!

A well-documented indictment of our American industrial food system, but with an excellent analysis of how we got where we are, and helpful recommendations as to how we can transform the system. A film everyone should see!

An excellent, family friendly ,"teaching" movie. It touched on some of the animal rights issues that are so dear to all of us, but in a kid friendly enviroment. It even opened my oldest daughters jaded eyes to the fact that there is a Big Brother out there, and he is both Red and Blue. Very well done.

After seeing this movie, my husband and I immediately set out to change our food shopping and consumption habits. The movie was extremely well done and included essential points that people need to know about how animals and vegetables are grown and processed for food in the US today. Now is the time to return to the land. Grow your own veggies or buy them and your meat, poultry and eggs from reputable and "local" farms. An absolute must see for every US citizen.

Anyone who eats should see this movie. I thought they did a pretty good job of keeping the violence to a minimum. I've been a vegetarian since I was 14 so I always feel I don't need to see the violence since I am not a part of it, but I did make myself see the peta film "Meat Your Meat". This film was much more subdued, yet still I had to turn away. And we wonder why our society is so violent. I wonder if the saying "You are What You eat"
rings true.
A must see film about politics and Our food.

This is one of the most important movies ever made. Much like "Supersize Me", "The World According to Monsanto", "The Future of Food", and "King Korn", it lifts the curtain on the food industry, and reminds us that it is in fact an "industry".
Frank Zappa once said, "politics is the entertainment branch of industry."
During this movie you will see exactly how politics are affecting our world's food supply and our health. You will learn the shocking truth about who wants to own it all [Monsanto], how close they are to actually doing it.
Do yourself and everyone you love a favor and go see this movie. Arm yourself with knowledge!

While the subject is very important for us all. The film leaves a lot to be desired. The film opts to be graphically and authentically violent regarding the treatment of the animals which, in my view, limits the audience and the message. Thankfully, the sound does not match the violence so closing your eyes works pretty well. Another weakness is that it is not really conspiracy aware. The Film could have been a lot more educational. There are many intelligent comments by the rural folk. But when you see the movie think control is franchise and the web is money.

This film is an eye-opener and a must see for anyone who eats food of any type. As a "health food" enthusiast for over 30 years, I figured that although I have a pretty good handle on food issues, I would "probably" learn a few things. I learned a lot more than a few things. This was truly enlightening! We all need to know what we are eating and where that so-called food is coming from. SEE THIS MOVIE!

This is a must-see for anyone who eats fast food or shops in a mega-grocery store, plus anyone who cares about animal welfare or food safety. You should know what these giant agriculture conglomerates are hiding from the consumer. The film's director was interviewed recently and said he could have more easily made a movie about nuclear terrorism than about the food we eat every day. Don't miss this film!

America and the whole world is asleep. It is time people became more aware of the many things they take for granted or look at blindly in our everyday society. We are constantly being manipulated by these Industry Giants on EVERY level. I just wish there were more brave people like the ones who took the initiative to make this type of movie, so that we can get this message out. I remain hopeful that the message gets out to a great percentage of the general public via informational documentary movies such as these. Knowledge is Power!!

For anyone that eats any food that they did not grow themselves, this movie needs to be viewed. It is eyeopening for the average consumer who knows little about where their food comes from. A little bit of knowledge goes a long way. If their entire population of consumers watches this movie, a mass shift in economics will justifiably occur.

Every single person should see this movie. People have such a difficult time giving up their little daily comforts, like the convenience of eating out, of buying their food at one-stop grocery markets, of not having to think at all. It takes effort to question and research and provide the best nourishment for your body. It is so upsetting to know what is happening to our food, but more upsetting to come so frequently across people who don't seem to care. Put yourself outside your comfort zone and watch this movie. The more people who do that, the more chance we have to effect a change in our food system.

Like another reviewer, I was glad that it was "light" on the animal cruelty. The reason is that I think sometimes those issues are so horrible that people actually turn away. Instead, while the viewer is quite aware that conditions in these "food factories" are less than humane, they also importantly take away the lesson that they are hurting themselves by eating this food. And, that what they might save by eating cheaper but less nutritious food they will end up later spending on diabetes and other medications.

Unfortunately, as with most films like this the audience for screenings is nothing more than those that are already with the program. A movie such as this must find a general release and be widely viewed. The most intimate relationship we have with our environment must have front page exposure. I am a family doc and show such films to my patients with evening discussions when they are available and do my best to spread the word.

Deep inside we all know that "we are what we eat," that we should eat locally grown and organic foods. This movie delves deep into the reasons WHY we should move away from "knowing" to "doing." The movie touches on everything from environmental to health to economic concerns relating to the foods we currently consume. Well organized and convincing.

This movie has a much broader appeal than other movies on this topic. And my 11 year old was at just the right age to see and understand where his food comes from.
But I thought it was a little thin on action steps that make a difference. I guess I am looking for bigger things than "buy locally", even though that is a good thing to do. I liked their comparison to the tobacco industry; but how does that change come about?

I found this movie to be incredibly accurate. Even if you don't care what is in your food, you should have a right to know, and that is what this movie is about. The food industry is trying to block your right to know one of the most intimate things: what is going into your body. I think that everyone in America should see this movie.

This is a powerful documentary. I did not feel it was overly biased - plenty of facts. I hope this becomes available on more screens because it is that important. To know to what degree large corporations control our most basic need (food) and seeing how our government is helping the corporations, subsidizing things that are not so good for us, and then turning it around to blame it on weak willpower when people get sick, fat, and become diabetic should make us all very, very angry. Maybe angry enough to do something about it, for a change.
